Good Grief, but it's been AGES!

Bloody heck, are you lot still here?!

I thank y'kindly for y'patience, I know I haven't been around here much (or at all), it's been awful busy 'round here at the Warren. Believe it 'r not, North asked for some help gettin' t'gether his yearly holiday shindig, put me in charge'a food f'some reason...

Anyhow, I'm likely t'still be pretty busy for the next few weeks're so, I just wanted t'pop by an' -y'know- tell folks that I ain't dead. I'll be back, don't you fret.

Life's been increasingly hectic over here, and while things are slowly starting to get themselves organized, I'm still struggling to get the time to be Bunny. I'm going to have a week off from work here come the Christmas holiday, and I'm hoping to use the time to catch up with everyone.

Holy Jeebus, it's been awhile. 8|

No, I have not forgotten about this blog, though I feel like I should have put up a Hiatus notice the moment I started working on the costume, since that started taking up all my time right before life leapt in and smothered me in family issues and multiple projects I got motivation for all at the same time.

I'm still working on getting the eggs all decorated (Note: Need to take photos), and reaffixing the stones that fell off of the bracers (it was only one but it was the main one and the paint was being a jerk), but my main concern is trying to get the bodysuit at least foamed by Halloween. If I can get that done, I can get the fabric covering on to mimic muscles before starting on the fur (cause Bunny is buff and I am not).

I'll do my best to get some pictures up here soon, I'm so sorry I've been gone and I appreciate everyone whose stuck around despite my absence.

As usual, the ask and submit boxes are always open, and I'm free to rp in between my projects.

Mod Post: I AM ALIVE

Sorry for the total lack of updates on here, my laptop shat a brick and has been non-functional for over 2 weeks now. All of my WIP photos that were on it are now in accessible, so I'm having to fumble around trying to make my webcam work because my normal camera got full of sand and isn't working.

Right at the moment, I've finished over half of the eggs, the bracers are being touched up, and I'm working on getting a duct tape manikin put together so I can start work on Bunny's legs.

Roadtrip away from work? Let's catch up on those outstanding projects! Painted the base layers on eggs I'm decorating, with colors for each Guardian (and Pitch), the pattern I'll be putting on my leather bracers, and my current work space.

Oh God, it's been ages since I've been able to do anything on this blog.

Apologies to all of my watcher for this horrendously long and unscheduled hiatus, I've been stupidly busy with a combination of new commissions, attempting to get my Bunnymund costume underway, and life in general.

As soon as I start getting some process work going for my Bunnymund costume, I will begin posting those progress images here for all to see, I'm hoping to get the bodysuit foamed and furred by Halloween and then working on all of the detail stuff to get it ready by Sakura-Con in March.

In the meantime, I have another roleplay/ask blog some of you might be interested in, where I play the Kill Master from Brutal Legend with my friend Shade, who plays Baron. It's a bit more active since Shade and I go back and forth a lot, if you like Heavy Metal and aren't put off by shenanigans and swearing, you might enjoy the banter we throw around.

Alright, update now completed, I shall return as soon as I can with costumery. And, as always, my ask box is open and I'm happy to play with all comers.

I'm not dead, just busy.

Sorry for being gone so long, I've been stupid busy cleaning my room to make space to work on Bunny, and have only just gotten to a point where I can finally get things started. About 2 and a half weeks later than originally planned, but these things happen.

Anyway, I'll be getting to work on my Bunnymund costume and will be posting progress pictures for your perusal. As usual, the ask/submit boxes are always open, and I will do my absolute best to keep up with everything.

"Is everything okay?" she asked, tilting her head curiously at the guardian from his lap. "I hope you're alright, did something happen?"

The pooka nodded, lifting his head to ruffle her hair.

"M fine, Bella, just got m’self busy, y’know? Jaime -y’know Jaime, right?- he convinced Sophie t’call on me, an’ he dragged me ‘long t’this movie thing out of doors. Still dunno what the film was called, but there was all these giant machines an’ glowy critters an’ the designs were amazin’!"

He reached over, picking up a finished egg to show off. It was a wonderful soft cobalt color, with angular slashes of crimson and gold.

"Got me thinkin’ of all sorts’a new designs I could use."

"It's been like, forever!" she laughed, snuggling into his warm fur and holding him close.

Bunny chuckled, happily returning the embrace and nuzzling his nose into the lightning spirit’s hair as she nestled into the thick fluff of his chest fur.

"Well, then, ‘m sorry ‘bout that. Gotten all kinds’a distracted as of late…"

The lightning spirit flew over and hugged the Pooka, making sure to be careful of the egg in his hand. "Hi!"

Bunny quickly set down his egg and the wet paintbrush, just in time to catch the flying projectile Bella had made of herself.

"Ahaha~ Ello t’you too! Blimey, it ain’t been that long, ‘as it?"

"Mmm?"

The pooka looked up from an egg he was painting, a book of Indian Henna designs open on his lap.

"Bella?"

First ever yarn tail being made as a proof of concept. Braided the core a little too tight so I had to improvise.

IT’S SO FLUFFY!!

Doing these five inches took me nearly 4 and a half hours, it’s very time consuming but it’s also really fun busywork I found myself enjoying. This technique will be AWESOME for making the wigs for my planned plushies.

Bunny, No, Bunny You Are Drunk

It was odd, completely out of character and made almost no sense whatsoever, but Jack hugged Bunnymund then. 

Never before had someone offered him a place, somewhere to stay. He was free, and he loved to ride the winds and do as he pleased, but what else could he say when the truth was he had no where else to go home to? Jack was winter, and winter was Jack.

There was nothing else to it. 

“I want to stay- I want to go, to do as I do, but be able to come back.” 

There were some things Jack would never give up, from giving children snow days, to watching and hoping they might one day see him. He stretched his hands high in the air, jumping back from how close he had pushed himself to the other.

Of all the people to get close to, Bunnymund was the last, and yet with a fond smile Jack was glad it was them. They could keep their rivalry, their playing and their fightings, but it was nice to know they could also just be friends and settle down as such. 

Jack relaxed then, made a few light footsteps and indulged in showing how happy he was. Like a child during the first christmas where they actually understood what the holiday was about, or finding that first chocolate easter egg. It was a wonderful feeling.

The hug was...

Unexpected, to say the least.

Bunny was honestly stunned by the action, and he went stiff in that cool embrace, not entirely certain of what he'd done or said to deserve the gesture, but he managed to relax enough in time to give a small one-armed hug in return before the boy slipped away as swiftly and easily as the winter wind itself, leaving his fur feeling ever so slightly chilled. He didn't even realize he was smiling until Jack stepped back, and he didn't even try to swipe it away.

No, Jack deserved to see it, deserved to know that his choice to stay made the old rabbit just as happy as it made the winter spirit.

"Well, if that's the case, then I oughtta get a space set up for ya. Y'don' wanna sleep in m'sittin' room every time y'come over..."
