Leonardo, your gift was most flattering, though I feel I should perhaps recommended that next time you better package your gifts, save your intention was in fact to send me parchment drenched in ink.

It is still fine paper no less, and if questioned I will respond that my papers were simply seen to with an artistic touch before being given to me. After all, they were, were they not?
