this is mainly for my headcanons, and drabbles im not yet prepared to post on ao3 but want to put out there. i might mainly write fluff and family stuff

i also want to preface that i'm into dead dove and i'm pro-fic, so do what you will with that

— quaritch and varang are going through a divorce bcs of differences they can no longer reconcile

— varang got into a car accident and the hospital contacted quaritch since he's still her emergency contact

— after a few days of unconsciousness, she woke up and was sweet to him which confused him so much bcs they couldn't even bear to be in one room (yet he stayed beside her during those days)

— the doctor revealed to him that she's got some sort of amnesia so she couldn't remember recent events and quaritch had no choice but to play along

— not having the heart to tell her about their divorce, quaritch eased in back to their domestic and married life which made him reconsider the divorce, realizing he's still madly in love with his wife

— until a coworker asked varang how she's handling the divorce proceedings, only then did she discover quaritch has been playing her for a fool

(0504) a married quaritch went on a vacation in a european country where he met varang and they hit it off quickly (IYKYK), when quaritch returns all he could think of and talk about to the recoms is this young woman whom he had the time of his life with

in his lovesickness (and withdrawals), he went back and tried looking for her, only to have a difficult time in doing so because she never gave her last name

— quaritch decided to try a rising restaurant downtown and he was pleasantly surprised with the food both recommended to him and personally picked

— it was the first time in a very long while that he actually liked the dishes in a restaurant that he had to bring back empty plates himself to meet the head chef

— only for him to actually meet the future (COUGHS) love of his life

— after he left, the mangkwan gives varang knowing looks and she both wants the ground to swallow her whole atst kill them bcs they caught her giving the food critic... looks!

— wherein quaritch asks and pays varang to be his plus one in a wedding (debating if jeytiri or ronalwari) just to show he's moved on

— while on that getaway, he's slowly falling for varang and vice versa, both of them projecting their feelings by faking being a lovey-dovey couple

— on the day they have to fly back, neither of them can bring up their feelings to the other, both of them waiting for the other to slip but they didn't

— unable to carry the burden of her feelings, she left first and gave him a goodbye kiss

— years later, they meet again and this time, they decided to do it right

posting this jic the op finds this bcs i couldnt stop thinking about it: quarang in a constant state of tsaheylu even for the most normal activities

which got me thinking:

— they always obsess and want/need to know what the other thinks and feels, codependency at its finest

— the thought of them constantly connected, being distraught the minute they have to separate, overly anxious when theyre apart bcs they dont know what the other is thinking, having severe withdrawals

— maybe it will trickle down their children ala gothel and rapunzel? keeping them confined right within their vicinity bcs of the possession they hold towards their creation/s

— within the week is the first day of her junior/senior year with the mangkwan, and zari couldn't believe her eyes on the professor who walked in and introduced himself as one of their major subject teachers

— zari immediately told it to varang who couldn't believe her misfortune but rakx was quick to tell her to get answers from him on their future paperworks

— meanwhile, quaritch couldn't believe his luck bcs the woman he couldn't get out of his mind turns out to be his student

(yes, they made out before and after varang tattooed quaritch, yes he didnt have any recom join him bcs he wants varang all to himself, yes theyre official beginning that day)

— they act like they dont know their parents sometimes bcs they cant stop eyefucking and the works

— quaritch, working at a building just across the street, had to buy a bouquet last minute for their company's new marine biologist

— when he told her where he works, varang asks about grace who usually buys from her, he informs her that she's sick so he was tasked to buy instead

— quaritch, being so taken aback by how gorgeous the florist is, started to make up excuses to buy there almost every fucking day to the point that varang recognizes him and tells him "oh, it's you again"

— and yes, it sickens lyle and jake and the recoms to see him so giddy and happy

— quarang strolling the streets of japan just walking and eating whatsoever food for more than eleven hours straight

— he sometimes steal a kiss or two or three hundred when theres some cream or sauce on the side of her lips and she's so obviously pleased but she couldn't jump him bcs of the food she's holding

imagine grace's disapproving them even at the tiniest glances they give each other bcs varang is TOO good for him even if theyre mr and mrs obvious since fellow marine and researchers giggle and chuckle when they catch the other staring

him trying to make small talk and grace has to physically separate him from her, telling him to not even attempt wtv he plans and hes like "im doing no harm" then secretly winks at varang whom grace caught SM*LING

— quarang didn't connect and are simply just allies using the other for their own benefit

— varang goes back to minding her own business taking care of the mangkwan and their raids but it's quaritch who cannot stop nor resist thinking about her all the while he's still with paz

— he doesn't know why he keeps trying to talk to her about the recoms and the mangkwan, especially when lyle picked zari to be in his firing squad, all to which she responded to with an "okay"
