DOC STRANGE THEORIES
SPOILER ALERT: if you haven't watched the Doctor Strange movie and/or haven't seen the SECOND end credits scene, this will ruin some things for you!! Okay, so we know the Eye of Agamotto holds the Infinity Stone of Time, yeah? Well, that means that the only gem we haven't seen is the Soul gem, and many people reckon we'll see it in Thor 3, but I believe we may have already. In the last end credits scene, we witness Mordo steal the power from the formally crippled dude that Doc Strange spoke to near the beginning of the movie. Mordo has obviously gone off the rails, and the way in which he steals the power seems odd, which is why it captured my attention. If we use the overview of the Soul gem's abilities, we get this: "[The Soul Gem] Allows the user to steal, control, manipulate, and alter souls, living or dead, and is the gateway to an idyllic pocket universe that is much like Heaven. It also has the ability to steal the powers and abilities of others. The Soul Gem is sentient and has a hunger for souls. It is often considered to be the most dangerous and corrupting of all the gems. Mastery of the gem would allow the user to control all life in the universe." Using this information, multiple things become clear. One, the soul gem can be used to steal powers, and so Mordo could easily have found it and is now utilising it to steal powers from sorcerers and, possibly, anyone with unusual powers, either now or in future movies. However, his motives are also clear with this information, as it says the Soul gem corrupts people very easily, and so Mordo's strange new personality could be a result of the gem's abilities also. Anyway, that's all I've got about this. Pretty much, I believe that Mordo had the Soul Infinity Stone, and has been corrupted by its power and as a result is stealing the powers of others with its help.
