I was thinking and maybe have thought too hard
1917 is a retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice
I've actually written a 10 page essay on this.
Edit: since a couple people have asked, message me with an email address, and I'll send it to you.

Mourning the fact I'll never see an F-14 fly.
I also crocheted a border. I hate painting the edges, but also hate when there's nothing on them.
Grace Rocky save stars
Also who decided that popcorn was the standard movie snack question? Annoying as hell.
Crocheting to my full potential {not a month into learning it}.
This is a threat.
I really thought embroidering the map of the 1917 journey on my jacket would be as far as my obsession would get.
But no, I had to go and crochet an eight foot scarf depicting the film scene by scene like a (totally reasonable person). 21 panels.
Or rather two scarves. It's double sided with symbolism.
I'm coping with the end on the series.
It's not going very well.
Awkwardly unstable cactus for scale.
I'm never embroidering words again, I swear to my sanity.
So, because reasons, I made a map of the journey in 1917.
A series of rabbits I embroidered. Found five of them dead on the side of the road, barely two weeks old. My best guess, run over by a mower based on the damage they had.
I couldn't stop thinking about them, so I did what I must.
To say my 1917 obsession is back is incorrect. It has never left since I first saw the film six years ago.
Anyway, cherry tree embroidery for Blake.
And I'll do it again
Idk what I was doing with the colors the whole time and I've been looking at it too long to be of sound judgement.
I did most of it at 3 in the morning. If it reflects that. I'm not sure.
Painting them into things and no one can stop me.
Went a little crazy with the clouds
I thought the new film was eh. I found the concept of a found footage invasion interesting, but execution oh so flawed. And it shouldn't've been attached to the War of the Worlds title.
Anyway, this is how I spent my July.
Still a few corners to buff out, but I didn't want to take another picture so
First there was the Frog Wizerd
Then a duel of the Frog Wizerds
And now a Toad Warlock on standby
It may not be a Top Gun summer for everyone, but it is for me apparently.
Embroidered a patch for my jacket, because how dare I be without a project for a whole 2 days.
And because, of course that wasn't enough, I spent the last two weeks doing this:
The first of a lot of patches I shall create
Started out as making a simple shelf to store labels for one of my collections and exploded into this.
Banana for scale
It's bigger than I intended it to be, but what can I expect when I don't follow my pattern?
Technically inspired by Top Gun, but the f-14 tomcat was my favorite plane before I saw the movie.
Sorting out a closet and behold: the fixation(s) have followed
Didn't even know these were in my house
Shelves I built for my mother's yarn over the course of 4 days.
Inspired by the late JoAnn Fabrics of course.
