My name is Faye (they/them) and I am the main person running this blog, Rowan is our main seamstress (she/her, they/them) and we have some other friends that will be learning/ participating alongside of us. This is a place to enjoy crafting and different creative pursuits. This includes, sewing, cosplay, historical dress, embroidery, cross stitch, tablet weaving, leather working, and an other crafts we might learn.

Other than the fact it has been FOREVER since I posted it has also been forever since I posted this project. I had even changed what thread I was using. Currently at 75.8% and 9161/12084 stitches completed.

So it's uh... Been a while. So here are my wips!

A nice little wip update while my brain clings to consciousness! Enjoy!

working with textiles is a trap. first they lure you in with knitting. then you pick up crochet (understandable enough). next you start getting curious in fiber. you learn how to spin (okay that’s a bit extra). weaving is cool, right? you now own a loom. heck, while we’re at it, why not starting making your own clothes (this is getting out of hand)? spinning is no longer enough for you — you need something stronger. you learn how to dye (stop i’m begging). dye is fun, but it’d be nice to have your own source of fiber. you are now a shepherd.

Metallic thread is of the devil, can anyone tell me why these major thread companies haven't been able to produce good metallics? I've had good experiences with kreink but it's expensive and still not great...
