@the-timeless-boy
[Luke stared blankly at the younger boy for a few moments, trying to piece this whole situation together.Puzzle 008: What the heck is even going on here. 50/50 Picarats. What a toughie. After another few seconds of consideration, Luke let his expression shift into a small smile, although he still looked rather perplexed.]
Oh, um!
[If this was somehow some younger version of Clive that he was speaking with, he didn’t imagine telling him he was acquainted with his older self would go over all that well.]
I-It must have just been a lucky guess. Anyway, I’m Luke. It’s nice to meet you, Clive.
Luke! It's nice to meet you, too!
You look a lot like me, ain't that something? But I bet you are older than me...I'm only nine...
[Clive said looking around, his happier mood was starting to fade. Even so, this boy still fascinated him. Only if you knew what things you were going to do when you are older, Clive.]
(As Angela walked along she heard a voice calling out. Looking down she saw a small boy smiling up at her. it was quite funny how he referred to her as Miss.)
Hi! Who are you then?
I'm Clive! What's your name?
[Clive asked, it was rather unusual for him to be this perky. But, as long as he wasn't going around glaring at people...]
No, I don’t think so. I mean...
[Luke let himself trail off. The other boy didn’t really seem like anyone he’d met before but he still seemed… really familiar in some way. It was hard for him to explain how, even to himself.]
I guess you just look like someone I know! And also a bit like me, which is sort of strange, but this isn’t the first time that’s happened, at least not for me.
[And then it hit him. Wow, duh. This kid looked just like a miniature version of Clive!]
Are you… related to someone named Clive by any chance?
Haha! That's funny mister, my name is Clive.
How did you know? I mean you must know me somehow! But I don't know who you are... Uh, what's your name?
[Clive thought he might as well keep the nicer side of himself, there didn't seem to be anything wrong with this boy... But...just how did he know him?]
[Luke had been trying to approach the younger boy in a casual sort of manner, just trying to get a better sort of look at him, but whoops, it looks like he’d been spotted. It’s a good thing Luke didn’t plan on being any sort of government spy when he was older. He couldn’t imagine that going over very well. Oh well. Luke smiled at the younger of the two of them, letting out a smallish laugh when he called him “mister”. Well there was certainly something he wasn’t used to.]
You don’t need to use any of that silly mister stuff on me. I guess I’m probably at least a little older than you, but I’m still technically a child.
[He paused for a moment, putting a finger to the side of his mouth as he looked over the boy. He looked kind of familiar…]
Not to be rude, or anything, but have we met before?
[Clive nods, his smile turning into a small frown. The boy looked like he was at least three or four years older than him. He wasn’t so sure.]
Oh…well alright then.
[The next question confused Clive, why would this boy think that he had seen him before? They did look a like but that was still rather odd.]
Um…I don’t believe so, no! Unless we go to the same school or something…
Can someone help me get a book down from the top shelf? I'm too short to reach up there myself...
[Clive was in the library with Constance, of course she was off doing her own thing and she left Clive to do whatever.]
number1apprentice started following the-timeless-boy
[Clive watched the older boy approach him, they looked kinda like each other, how weird! Maybe this guy was like his long lost older brother or something! Better not tell Constance, Clive!]
Hey there, mister!
[Clive smiled, he was sitting on a bench, grabbing the spot in between his legs with both hands and leaned forward.]
angela-the-treasure-girl started following the-timeless-boy
Hello there, miss!
[Clive was outside of Constance's house on one of the many benches, in one of his brighter sided mood swings. He was reading his favourite book.]
wren-and-socket started following the-timeless-boy
[It was rare to find Clive in a good mood, it usually meant he did something accomplishing at school, or he found some information about the blast that killed his parents.
He saw the twins walk towards him, he smiled.]
Hello there!

〖Ah - ! How ungentlemanly of him. He didn’t even ofter the boy his name. After an awkward paused, he looked over towards the Dove, giving him a gentle smile.〗
Hershel Layton, my’boy. 〖Noting at how shaken he seemed to by, Hershel stopped in his tracks, kneeling down in front of Clive.〗 You’ll be alright now, my’boy. Perhaps you’ll fancy some sweeten tea…? 〖Always attempting to keep this positive - even if they both lost someone.〗
[Clive looks down at the floor, but his eyes are tilted up towards Hershel.]
I guess that would be nice... Mr. Layton...
[Clive knew that he'd remember that name, for someday it might be the one name he would need to remember.]
[ Melody sat down beside him and turned to him curiously. How’d she gotten here..? Most likely improper pocket-watch programing. ]
Hello there…I don’t think you should be reading that. I apologize, but. That book’s about weapons.
[Clive didn't take his eyes off the book, he replied in a slightly annoyed voice--typical for a kid like him]
So? Maybe I want to read this book.
[He continued scanning through all the pictures until something 'cool' looking caught his eye.]
//Now that I think about it, I do want to RP more on here. There is an open RP on this blog if you click on the link to the blog. I'll get to all replys tomorrow!
[Little Clive was reading a book about weapons, not the best thing for a nine-year-old to read; It was something that caught his eye in Ms. Dove's large collection of books.]
Hrm...
[He flipped the page, but then looked up to notice that there was someone watching him. Clive was just outside the house sitting on a bench. He looked down at his book and continued looking a the pictures and what not.]
Suzume looked at the little boy, now feeling sorry for him.
“…..I’m sorry….”
That’s all she could say.
[Clive tried to calm down.]
No, I'm sorry-- I shouldn't have yelled like that. What's your name?

〖Hershel didn’t wince when the boy had his moment of frustration - screaming for the seer fact that, inside, the boy knew he was right.〗
You can stay with me until we figure out some form of living arrangements for you. 〖Even Hershel caught himself of guard with what he said, blinking to himself before keeping his word. That’s what a gentleman did afterall.〗
Stay with you...?
[Clive looked up at Hershel, he seemed like he was hiding something. But he seemed nice enough. Maybe he lost someone in the fire too?]
I guess that's...alright.
[The nine year old looked outside, the sky was still clouded with gray smoke. This made Clive frown, he crossed his arm, he still looked pretty shaken.]
But mister...what's your name? I would like to know it, if that's a-alright...
“Huh? Hello, little boy. Are you lost? Where are your parents?”
Am I lost?
[Clive said eyeing the girl. He was indeed rather lost... But the next question struck him a lot harder than he wanted it to.]
Don't talk about them! They're...not here!
professorofarchaeology || there's no time left
〖He could hear the hurt in the boy’s voice, and that, in itself, caused Hershel to frown slightly. Looking down towards ‘Dove’, he brought out his hand; offering it to him.〗
Everything will be alright my’boy. 〖He attempted to offer the boy a smile; a small, weak smile. He was alright if the boy needed to cry - what had happened, and what he was assuming had happened…. It was all too much for a young boy such as him to handle.〗
[Everything will be alright? Was he really sure about that? Everything? Absolutely everything? Where was he supposed to go now?]
M-my parents...they...where am I supposed to go now? Where?!
[He screamed, but then quieted down soon after. He was clearly rather frustrated. How could something like this happen so easily]
