i think it's fair to assume that in the world of darkness there's this common but poorly understood form of acute anemia that seems to affect people at random with no apparent cause. and it usually goes away after a few weeks, although sometimes it might be a recurring thing. there's a hypothesis that it might be connected to low vitamin d levels, since it's more common in people working night shifts or being otherwise active at night, but studies don't really show any conclusive evidence. probably nothing to worry about, you know how weird bodies can be sometimes

i do expect a certain contingent to get like 10x more insane about lesbianism once they start considering a world where most bi women shack up with each other and one in five straight men just mathematically can't find a partner. not saying it'll happen but unlike past iterations of the fear this time it's at all statistically possible

Am I just underestimating the amount of brainworms the average straight-by-default man has about sucking dick?

Okay probably that last one but it's kind of a silly reason for such a huge gulf.

I don't think watching anime makes you trans, I think a lot of trans people just felt attracted to art that can be more let's say experimental with gender than anything else semi-mainstream. And I strongly reject the attempts to construct a binary between 'real transes' and 'evil fetishizers who read too much yaoi/yuri'.

But I think if you're both trans and a weeb it's going to have a disproportionate impact on your life and sense of self, you're going to become incomprehensible to anyone who's not already the same kind of trans weeb. Because of intersectionality, see.

Pokemon trivia: that Sneasel and Shuckle probably used to have the same trainer!

In gen 2, Shuckle can be obtained in two ways: it's a 10% rock smash encounter in a few specific areas, or you can get it for free from a guy in Cianwood. In my own experience, if someone's using a Shuckle it's probably the gift encounter.

The reason he gives you this Shuckle is because he fears it getting stolen by your rival, who already stole one of his other Pokemon. The only new addition to Silver's team between the Burned Tower encounter and the Goldenrod encounter is a Sneasel, so he probably stole that one.

I have no idea if the artist knew about this connection at all, but I think you can kind of read mutual surprise into their expressions.
