Found a deck of Sonic X playing cards I bought ages ago. Thought I’d scan them in and post them here, because I figured they would be useful for people who do things like vector work/restorations, seeing how some of these cards have official artwork that I’ve yet to see any cleaned up or high quality versions of.

This show is the best Sonic cartoon now. Idc. I was raised on AoStH and all that, but that is fantastic.

Possibly unpopular opinion, but.....

The movie Sonic might’ve finally gotten shown, and it’s nowhere near as bad as I expected

I feel like this shouldn’t be funny to me like it is, but the idea of Metal trying to use his treadmill when he’s not actually running? Kinda priceless.

What I love about Episode 6 of Sonic Mania Adventures is that it shows Amy is definitely a hero herself.

Despite the fact that she was kidnapped by Metal Sonic, she still helps him out. Amy even demonstrated that she’s still very afraid of him, but once she notices that Metal is completely out of it, she becomes compassionate towards him.

Sonic & Knuckles may break the badniks apart, but being a hero goes beyond breaking some robots. Amy can also tear them down, but she’ll be the first one to help them back up. That makes Amy as great a hero as the rest of the boys in the Mania cast!

I think that out of the entire cast, Amy is the one character that truly takes to heart the idea that everyone deserves a chance to be happy.

She is not interested in punishing badguys or bringing them to justice. Instead, she seeks for a way to help them out without expecting anything in return.

It truly was touching how Amy picks up that Metal Sonic is depressed after being abandoned, saves the robot from a falling tree and helps it return home and be forgiven by Eggman, who takes him inside in an almost fatherly way.

Amy is helping out the robot that kidnapped her and held her hostage to force Sonic into a race to save her life. You can see she still remembers and reacts pulling her piko hammer at the slightest sign of Metal reacting, yet she still takes her chances just to do what is right. Even Sonic, the hero of the franchise who is always saving the world and those in need, seemed puzzled by what made Amy do this for the enemy.

Personally, I think Amy brings to the franchise a very special and noble quality that often is overlooked because of how people see being “badass” as a more desirable virtue… despite it not being such a thing.

I’m happy though that there are still people in Sega who do remember what Amy is all about.

10 years ago today, Eggman broke the planet, Sonic turned into a werehog, met Chip, and together the two went on a journey to put the planet back together.
