“If you think so.” He wouldn’t force her into telling something that could be uncomfortable or even traumatic to her. “Do you have any story that you can tell right now? I’m in the mood for chatting more!”

Nanoha hums, for a moment, before bringing her hand to her chin and nodding. “I think I have something.”

“When my partner and I were 14, we were sent on a mission to another world to collect a magical artifact. It was this necklace that would make people see their worst nightmare, if they held it for too long...”

☆ Peter leans back on his chair, looking like he’d need to think about his answer. “I’m originally from Terra. But it is a bit of a complicated story. Let’s just say, initially I went to space against my will, but I ended up love it there. All the places you can travel to, not being bound to just one point…” Yes for that, Peter is thankful that Yondu kidnapped him. Sure, there would be more pleasant ways to get into the deep space, but being with the Ravagers for all the years, has also toughen him.

“How about you? Where are you from?” He would guess an alternative earth, but one can never be too sure about that.

It was a bit unfortunate to hear that he’d been forced off-planet- It wasn’t a choice Nanoha ever would have wanted forced on anyone. But his mention of how he loved it did bring a wide smile to her face, nonetheless- It was something she could relate to, without a doubt.

“Japan, on Earth! I moved off planet, to a world called Midchilda, when I was 18. I have to agree with you about being able to go anywhere... With Midchildan technology, it’s only a few hours to go to pretty much any planet. It’s incredible, to see everything the universe has to offer...”

“That’s true,” She agreed as she took her hand back after the brief shake. She never stopped being the Avatar, even here… even in a relaxed environment such as this, she will had a look out for trouble. At least she found someone she that in common.

“Earth customs?” She repeated, now fascinated by her teammate. “So are you, like… an alien or something? I mean, I’m not… it’s just my world is really different.” She gave a little shrug. “I get the idea, it’s fun! So, where are you from?” Hearing about different worlds never ceased to amaze her, even after all this time in the city.

“I guess that depends how you look at it?” The mage’s hands come to rest behind her back now, a grin crossing her face. With her particular experiences, the question of being alien was an interesting one, but...

“I’m human, and was born on Earth, but I moved to another planet- Midchilda- for work when I was 18. So I guess I’m an alien to the Midchildan people, but... I think we’re all a bit alien when it comes to somewhere like Hive City, right?”

“Either way, all in all, I’m pretty used to explaining how things work back home! Specifically, I was born in Uminari city, in Japan on Earth, and moved to Cranagan in the central portion of Midchilda, which is where I lived until I came here. What about you?”

“Whether it’s Shalem 11 or that person who’s been going around eating magical beings- I will make sure they’re brought to justice. Whether through myself, or one of the other Avengers... They won’t go unpunished.”

It was always nice meeting new people, especially interesting people and that’s what Korra liked about this city. However there was one thing she liked more than that and that was getting to know those she was affiliated with. The Avengers had such an assortment of recruits, it was always fun to get to know them. This girl would be no different.

“Nice to meet you too, Nanoha!” She responded warmly, balancing her plate of pizza in one hand so she could shake the girls own hand with her other. “Enjoying the party?” She asked and cast a quick glance around the room. “We don’t have Halloween where I’m from so I’m kinda new to this.”

Nanoha’s grin is wide as she reaches out to shake Korra’s hand. Not something they did back in Japan, really, but she’d grown pretty used to it on Mid.

“Mm, I am! Things can be so busy here, it’s nice to be able to relax for a change- Even if I am still keeping a look out for any trouble.” She pauses briefly, when Korra mentions not having Halloween where she’s from, her smile softening somewhat before she continues. “I’ve known a lot of people who aren’t familiar with Earth customs, both here and back in my own world... I can help if you have any questions?”

Oh goddammit to hell whomever voted Arata and herself into that bloody contest! Thank god Atem was out of the city but now she had to deal with her new roommate who was also a bloody Avenger!

“We are not dating! We are just really close friends that’s it!” Try as she denied, the fact was her face was beat red at the thought of being in a relationship with Arata. She couldn’t deny her growing feelings for him, but at this moment she was unsure if it was love. She was a fourteen year old girl still trying to figure herself out.

“Yeah you know what I am going to try some alcohol!” Time to derail the conversation as the girl with a coffin strapped to her back began to make her way to the punch table.

Nanoha just smiles, as Makie claims that she’s not dating the other boy. It was pretty cute, actually- And the blush that was crossing her face was an indication that maybe there was something there.

“If you say so~ But, if you do feel something, maybe you should act on it. You never know what could happen, right?”

She gives a light chuckle as Makie changes the subject and makes her way towards the punch bowl, following after her after a second of adjusting her outfit.

“Have you ever had alcohol before, Kobayashi-san? You should take it slow if you haven’t, it can pack a punch--”
