Interview with Pop Levi / Williamsburg Fashion Weekend
I had the pleasure of interviewing Pop Levi for Williamsburg Fashion Weekend Magazine's latest edition. Pop is a star.

Between The Last Posts and Now
It's been a while since I started this page and added the first posts. Since then I've had the pleasure of meeting and corresponding with some of, in my eyes the greatest musicians/artists of our time: Bernard Fevre of Black Disco Club, Pop Levi (check out my interview with him in the latest edition of Williamsburg Fashion Weekend Magazine), Eric D. Clark, Daniel Higgs, Hamish Kilgour of The Clean, Violens (their first incarnation was Lansing-Dreiden), Seth Haley of Com Truise, Kier Kirby of Deelite, and Daniel Kessler and Sam Fogarino of Interpol. Its been a pleasure. There is a world of awesome music hidden under the facade of what is pushed in our faces daily and I'm happy to have cut through it.
Awesome mix from Ryan Smith and Ron Like Hell
I met Ron at the Black Devil Disco show. I couldn't help but notice he had a This Mortal Coil shirt on so I decided to compliment him on the shirt and was impressed by his music knowledge. He seemed like very kind and well spoken spirit. I've been listening to things he jas been positing on Facebook since and this mix really is at the top of the list. I was looking for some new music and was grateful to find this mix on his page. I haven't heard anything else from Ryan Smith yet, but I am looking forward to checking his stuff out.
Ron Like Hell (loving the top hat!) and Jay Weinstein
Some really heavy funky grooves, heavy on the club vibe. My fave part is the 5-8-6 remix. Take a listen:
Automelodi
I re-met Arnaud Lazlaud at a show at Party Expo a few days ago. I remembered him from the Black Devil Disco Club show that Todd Pendu put together, where he was one of the Djs. It turns out that he has a band called Automelodi, so I checked it out and I really like their sound. The music video for Schema Corporel is definitely worth a view. I love the use of geometry instead of backup dancers! Tres Chic!
One of my other favorite tracks is Limite Malade, a moody atmospheric track, with some beautiful synth flourishes.
Next Show: October 19th. Tandem Bar. Buswick, Brooklyn 9:00
