Welcome to 1984, RESURRECTED STEVE TREVOR! I called it! I’m very happy about this. A few thoughts:

Steve has been resurrected numerous times in the comics. It’s kind of his signature move. I really like that they’re sticking to that in the movie.

(If he wasn’t often resurrected in the comics, my feelings about this reappearance would be a little more complicated tbh)

The 1980s were some of the best times in Wonder Woman comics, especially pre-crisis.

I love that Steve is standing in front of an ice cream store. This is going to be another lovable, solid movie, I think.

Did ANYONE else notice the sheer amount of sexual tension between Deadpool and Cable?

Like, obviously there’s the “you said I remind me of your dead wife while making heavy eye contact and applying chapstick” scene, but Cable also called Deadpool a guy “dressed like a sex toy” and later calls him a buttplug.

Like, chill dude, WE GET IT. Keep your knife (and your knife) in your pants.

I finally watched Deadpool 2 ! It’s pretty amazing!

Cable metaphorically divorced his wife and abandoned his child, whom he spent the whole movie trying to save and go back to, to save Wade.

Not the planet. He didn’t really need Wade alive for that and could’ve just stuck around and went back to his family after a while. He specifically used that time jump so Wade will be alive when he stays.

So, either they’re gonna fuck in the third movie or there’s no third movie.
