[Bonjour]
[Sigh.]
💗Pink & White💗
“Is Kris out?” He asked, tilting his head a bit. He tried to seem unthreatening. If she was Herr Godots child, then she would be a were, and he was used to dealing with situations like this. you have to be, when you’re dating one. “I was just dropping off something for him, its not important or anything.”
“Well, yes. I’m doing school things...” He could hear a rather Godot-like smirk form through her tone. “This isn’t exactly the kind of ‘stranger danger’ situation I’ve been trained for. On one hand I know you’re Herr Gavin’s little brother because you’re Klavier Gavin. On the other I don’t know you.”
She puzzled it out a moment. “Ah! Text him! Have him text me the okay!”
“Kristoph. I’m Klavier Gavin, Kristophs brother” He frowned. So it was a teenager? thats right.. Kris was dating Herr Godot.. could she be? “are you.. related to his lover?”
Klavier Gavin. It was actually Klavier Gavin. She wasn’t exactly a huge fan on his band but knew plenty of girls that were. “Uhm. Yeah. Uh. I guess I can let you in. Herr Gavin’s mentioned you before.” If something didn’t smell right or he tried anything she could totally handle it, right? The window was open, her were-form could completely slip through without a problem.
Klavier blinked. a female voice? at Kristophs? “Uhm.. Klavier?” He said, sounding quite confused. He had been coming by to drop off some new teas he had gotten on a trip, and hand’t quite expected this.
“Who are you here for?” The teen kept peering through--trying to recognize the fish-eye filtered blond she was seeing. He seemed familiar, but it was hard to place..
Someone had knocked at the door?
Maria looked up from her studies, a little concerned. She was home alone, but she’d grab her cellphone, a finger ready to call her father, walk to the door and peek out through the little spyglass.
“Hello, who’s there?”
Homework
“Ach, I hardly mind. You are trying your best.” He touched her shoulder before pulling away. “Vould you like coffee?” he was unsure whether or not she shared a little of her father’s passion for the brew. There was no way anyone could ever come close to Godot-levels of coffee passion.
“Tea, please?” Coffee was definitely a bit too strong for her taste for regular use. “It’s not finals week yet, I need to sleep eventually.” A small smirk. “Papa and I have regular discussions about tea and coffee. I love tea, or rarely one of those really fancy and totally bad for you not-even-coffee-anymore milkshake drinks.” A mock sigh. “I am such a disappointment.”
Homework
He nodded, looking over the phrasing and verbage.
“Truly, I just question vhy Spam but let me see here..”
He looked over the paper, giving her a gentle smile. The big brother in him was always gentle to Maria. Nothing like the devil people knew him to be.
“You’re doing quite vell. Keep it up.”
She’d grin at him. “Probably because it’s so bad, Like infamously bad. But some of the other ones are obvious--like this one. ‘I did my homework on time’. Not exactly subtle.”
His assurance that she was doing the work right was a relief. “Awesome. And, uh, sorry if I completely ruin the way the words are said. It’s just my second year...”
Homework
He was about to walk by but the subject of the butchered German caught his ear. “Maria. Vhat in the world are you doing?”
“Homework. Sorry if my pronunciation’s off.”
She showed him the worksheet she was working through: three columns, one labeled “English Indicative”, one “German Indicative” and one “German Subjunctive”. Each line had one sentence printed on a single column.
“We have to fill in the missing parts.” She was an honest student, wanting to go through it before asking for a glance-over by the native German speaker.
Homework
“’I eat SPAM every day.’ Gross. So.... ‘Ich esse SPAM jeden Tag.’ And then the subjunctive would be... ‘Ich würde jeden Tag SPAM essen.’ But I wouldn’t, because SPAM. Ugh.“
[I want to follow and RP with people but I don’t want to freak people out! Maria’s werepanther heritage is from a specific AU where there are lots of monsters out there. I feel that there are people that would be open to a daughter of Mia and Diego but would hesitate at the supernatural element.]
Journey's Beginning
Godot chuckled softly and shook his head. “It’s fine, mama. I don’t really expect much less from a child with parents as fiery as Mia or myself.”
He of course had no idea that she’d seen him in the hospital, he’d been fighting a difficult battle at that point, nor did he have any inclination of what was going through the girl’s mind. All he had to go on was the smartass remark. Which was one he’d heard a fair few times. Coffee was his life, so it was hardly surprising that he reeked of it.
“As a matter of fact, it is,” he smirked. “Extra-caffeinated, too.”
Ramona held her tongue--these two needed to develop a dynamic without her meddling. Instead she watched her son and granddaughter posturing together, trying to play it cool and snark at each other.
“I’ve never met someone whose body processed coffee and sweated the resulting decaf out while retaining the key ingredients or something..” She tilted her head, ears swiveling alertly. “It kind of masks your scent, but.. but I still remember it. Gran.. Gran took me to see you, I think. When you were sleeping.” She’d look to Ramona for confirmation.
“Yes, a few times. He was recovering. You had no way to know we were there, my son, but we came to see you secretly a few times each year. Until I was warned that the woman who put you in that bed was still alive and we fled to this place, where I could hide your child even better.” The older were was going to have to have a discussion with her son about how that warning came to be.
Maria nodded. “I kinda remember seeing your hair on a white pillow. Wondering if you were a ghost or a spirit. Or if you were like Sleeping Beauty and just needed the right princess to kiss you.” A slight scoff. “Or prince, I guess.”
Dear Diary
After a bit of thought I’ve got to wonder: should I be offended at furries? Like, they’re fetishizing part-animal bodies for their sexual urges. Everyone knows weres exist now so I can picture some of them being like “ohhh I can get a nekomimi girl in 3D and it’ll be just like in the games” or something.
It bothers me.
It’s not like feet fetishing--everyone has feet. It’s not objectifying a specific race.
Maybe I’m thinking too much into it.
It’d be so incredibly awkward to have that conversation with Papa.
-Maria
[Thank you to whoever sent in the m!a for Maria! It’s appreciated! Buuuut I’m not going to activate it until summer because her schooling has been disrupted enough for one year.]
Someone came out to me as a furry today in school.
I’m not sure if I feel honored they trusted me with this knowledge or creeped out.
