ok let me break down the typical stereotypes of the Aquarius and explain what it really means so people can understand their true character. 

“REBELS” :Aquarius is a very stubborn character. They’re the rebels of zodiac. They don’t like rules and don’t like being bossed around. this can make them seem cocky and arrogant to others because they come off as “too good for the system” types. they don’t like rules. they live by the beat of their own drum. they are free souls and spirits. The main reason Aquarius people don’t like rules is because they are too independent and individualistic. They think for themselves. Aquarius fear being brainwashed and not being true to themselves. They don’t want to live life for anyone but themselves. 

“WEIRDOS”: They are open-minded people who don’t like rejection from society so they tend to isolate themselves from society because they feel like they’re beyond the modern society mindset and they’re too different to be understood. They’re very friendly and have lots of friend but they are still loners. Aquarius is open to being friends with all types of people. They like the strange and abnormal. They don’t like the thought or idea of isolation. Aquarius is the last person to reject someone for their “weird”or “offbeat” passions and thoughts.

“PRETENTIOUS”:  Aquarius is the person that finds the mainstream to be too narrow minded. A lot of them are popular people but they do not like following trends and don’t like following customs. They find it very limiting and they’re too open-minded to allow their minds and interests to be narrowed down by what society finds cool or hip. 

“SPOCK” aka “UNEMOTIONAL” PT. 1: Aquarius is an intellectual above all else. They do not like feeling stupid. They believe that knowledge is power. They gain respect through their intellectual thoughts and ideas.  They are the know it alls of the zodiac. They have a hard time admitting they’re wrong because they aren’t the ones that will argue unless theyre 100 percent theyre sure theyre right. 

“UNEMOTIONAL” PT 2: Aquarius must be looked at as an intellectual. This can cause them to appear like cold and unemotional people. They do not believe in allowing personal feelings to allow you to cloud judgment. They must remain logical and reasonable at all times. This is why love can be confusing for some because they have a hard time following their hearts because it is not the “smart” thing to do. Emotions cloud thoughts and judgments and can make a person blind or bias. Aquarius does not like this so they can detach themselves. Aquarius are emotional people but they see it as a vulnerability. Emotions can be easily manipulated and that is something they don’t want happening to them. So they detach from them in order to protect themselves.
