After years of retirement, she was dragged out of it the second her attention was caught by humanoid robots running after crashing into the Earth's surface and scanned vehicle forms to blend in with the human world.

The second she saw the alien visitors, she could almost tell they were bipedal and more advanced. But she was also suspicious of their motives.

"Who are you? Why are you here on our planet?" She spoke authoritatively, retaining the tone of a commander in chief, while glaring at the blue and red robot sternly.

Briefly after introducing himself and his crew to the human teenagers, Sam and Mikaela, the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, turned to a voice that broke out from the corner of the alley, demanding to know who he was and why was he here.

"As I have spoken with Sam, my name, is Optimus Prime, leader of a faction of autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron. Also known, as Autobots. We are here because our planet was uninhabitable, ravaged by centuries of civil war." Optimus spoke calmly, almost somberly at mentioning his home planet that is now destroyed by endless fighting.

If only he was able to reason with his former brothers in arms, then he would have done something to help turn Megatron back from the darkness.

"This is Bumblebee, our scout. The rest are weapons specialist, Ironhide. Our medical officer, Ratchet. And lastly, our first lieutenant, designation: Jazz." Optimus spoke, introducing each of his Autobots to the humanoid lookalike of Charlie Watson.

As a matter of fact, Bumblebee took a liking to the lookalike because it so heavily reminded him of his first friend, Charlie Watson.

The retired veteran of 10 years nodded so silently, keeping a stoic expression while glaring at the Autobot leader as if she is taking in all he is telling her.

She had scars around her body, sustaining injuries from her ten years in service to protecting mankind.

"I'm assuming your war has brought your kind here to our planet over a resource both sides want, but different reasons." She deduced, contemplating.

"You would indeed be correct. Us Autobots came here looking for the AllSpark, a vital source from which all Cybertronians originate. It was revitalized by the actions of Sentinel Prime, former commander of the Autobots. The Cube, has the power to create worlds, and fill them with life. That is how our race was born. For a time, we lived in harmony. But at one point, Cybertron was once a powerful empire, peaceful and just. Until we were betrayed by Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. All who defied them were destroyed." Optimus replied, having namedropped Megatron, of whom he was once close friends with, almost like brothers.

"Our war consumed the planet for centuries until death overtook it, and the Cube, was launched into the far reaches of space. Megatron followed it to Earth, where Captain Archibald Witwicky found him. It only took an accident, that intertwined our fates." Optimus said informative.

{My grandfather.} Sam said, mesmerized with the newfound respect he has for his late great-grandfather.

"Unfortunately, Megatron crash landed, before he could retrieve the Cube." Optimus answered.

"Why does he want the Cube so bad? And to what purpose?" Dallas asked Optimus, intrigued but skeptical, keeping an ear out to hear any answers she would receive from the Autobot leader.

"Because Megatron fully intends to use it's power to transform your world's technology and create a new army of Decepticons, enslaving your world and taking over the universe. It is something we must prevent. Otherwise the human race would be extinguished." Optimus stated, speaking in a grave and urgent tone, revealing that this is no laughing matter and it must be taken seriously.

"As Optimus put it, he means is that if Megatron gets his hands on the AllSpark, he would use it's power to transform Earth's machines and build a new army to take over Earth. It mustn't share the same fate as Cybertron." Ratchet explained.

Ironhide interrupted them. "Sam's great grandfather accidentally activated Megatron's navigation system, causing Megatron to zap him, and he starts seeing the Cybertronian hieroglyphics, and the coordinates to the Allspark's location on Earth, imprinted on his glasses."

{How'd you know about his glasses?} Sam questioned.

"Ebay." Optimus spoke.

Optimus would then turn to Sam, optics trained on him.

"Sam Witwicky, you hold the key to Earth's survival. Time is short."

{Please tell me that you have those glasses, Sam.} Mikaela said to the teenage male next to her.

Dallas however, made it abundantly clear before that she hated humans and wanted nothing to do with them, remembering her own experiences.

She glared coldly, almost warily, but she was deeply unsure if she wanted to get involved.

Optimus could almost sense her hesitance at getting involved in another conflict again. But it prompted him to ask the retired veteran a question:

"Something appears to be troubling you. Do you wish to talk about it? If you are not comfortable, I will not press any further."

Snapping out of her trance, Dallas snorted with a scoff, a brow raised on her features.

"I'm not exactly comfortable about it, Optimus. It's more personal." She said with a scowl, before switching the topic.

"Get the boy and his crush back to his home and search for the glasses. Time is of the essence, assuming you need it posthaste."

Nodding, he signals to the Autobots to transform and head over to Sam's home.

Optimus transformed into his vehicle form, before opening the door to allow Dallas to get inside, much to her reluctance.

As soon as she got inside, Optimus shut the door and drove off, leading the Autobots over to the Witwicky household.

"From what data I could acquire through the World Wide Web, you were someone who fought a war once, haven't you?" Optimus said, breaking the silence as he drove.

Dallas was speechless, her scowl turned into that of shock that he knew about her so well.

"H-how did you-?"

She wasn't expecting this revelation to be so sudden. All it did was trigger a panic attack from her, making her relive the time she was at war 10 years ago before regaining her composure, taking several deep breaths to calm herself down.

"I, I'm sorry for my outburst, Optimus. Its just, I don't permit anyone to know me very well. I'm not the best person to be around. I fought a war since I was young. I trained and trained my whole life by the time the war broke out. Jesus, count the dead. Over 20,000 casualties, maybe more. What's next? Millions."

"It did not help my former friend betrayed me because of her jealousy I was of royal blood and she isn't. When her mother threatened my family, it was personal. To make matters worse, how did the human race repay me? By treating me and my crew like shit, throwing rocks at me. I'm tired and fed up of all this, Optimus. I'm fucking serious!" She hissed angrily. The memories were too painful for her to bear.

Optimus said nothing as he continued to drive, feeling incredibly bad for her.

Sooner or later, Sam's home was just in close proximity, as it was nearly late at night.

"My deepest sympathies for your experiences. It must have been tough to experience."

"After helping the boy and Mikaela retrieve the glasses, I'm done defending the humans. I made clear on that promise, and I refuse to go through another betrayal like that again. Why do you even bother with fighting to save mankind? They're a primitive and violent race." Dallas hissed, her tone sounding furiously angry, noticing Sam's house closer nearing her line of sight.

"Were we any different from them? We both share their capacity for great compassion, and great violence. Humans are flawed, but they have much to learn. Every human being has it in them to improve and become better than before. Freedom, is and always has been, the right of all sentient beings. Change must not be forced on mankind against their will. You would do well to know that, my friend."

Optimus stated out loud, making the point to Dallas that every sentient being has the potential to be better despite their flaws, it is a part of being human.

Eventually, they arrived at Sam's house, with Sam exiting out of Bumblebee and tasked Mikaela to watch over the Autobots while he speaks with his father, Ronald Witwicky.

"Gee, I hope you're correct about that. Hmph. Had a bad history with humans, so, I don't really like mankind that much." Dallas snorted, rolling her eyes.

"You remind me of my mother, who says that stuff all the time." She would say, but she still worried she had let everyone down.

"What was your mother like? She must sound like a very wise individual." Optimus added just as they turned round the corner to a back alley right next to Sam's house before coming to a complete stop once they had arrived.

"My mother? Yeah, she is very wise. She's been ruler long before me. Before you take the ruler aspect personally, I intend to attempt to live up to her standards and use the power that comes with that regal title wisely. I only became one when the war began ten years ago. I'm not my mother, but I'm a queen in my own right, Optimus. But what humans tend to say sometimes is that absolute power corrupts absolutely when that power is used unethical and immorally."

Dallas rumbled.

Optimus paused, as if he was reminiscing of the context, rumbled slightly.

"Sometimes, Dallas, the wisest of man and machine, can make an error. Power is a double edged sword, for good, or for evil. Megatron's lust for power corrupted him. And you would be right. The responsibility placed upon you around when your war broke out, must be very difficult. And such power that comes with a title or rank, must be used wisely. There is a thin line, between being a hero, and being a memory. However," Optimus added,

"It is our actions that define us and how we carry ourselves, remains of utmost importance." Optimus rumbled, somewhat making out voices, knowing it was Sam talking to his father.

"And wisdom cannot be granted, it must be earned, sometimes at a cost." Dallas rumbled softly, demonstrating some degree of wisdom during her conversation with Optimus and experiences in war.

Thats one thing they both have in common.

Optimus said nothing but silently agreed with her on the comment, but right around that precise moment, he had Dallas exit and back away for a moment just as he transformed, noticing Sam talk to his father just as he started climbing over the fence.

But yeah, I feel like making aide blogs on here is easier than emails and passwords and all of that junk when setting up twitter accounts. But then again, it's not like anyone really writes with me these days so what's the point you know ?

I don't always interact much because sometimes my muse gets whack and having real life issues to sort out. When I'm not interacting or what have you, I write fanfiction as a hobby. Currently in the works of rewriting Age of Extinction and the first Transformers movie. And yeah, making side blogs on Tumblr is way more easier and less complicated. And the way I portray Optimus is the typical "give me your face" which feels out of character for Optimus. And recently since revisiting Revenge of the Fallen, when Optimus says "any last words" it felt out of character like he wouldn't ever say that.

//Rewriting Age of Extinction is way more difficult is because of the stupid overuse of the line that Optimus is well known to say in the Bay films and the cheesy stuff that's not needed. And the intent was to have Optimus go through a painful and long process of going back to the character everyone knows and loves as Peter Cullen intended it "be strong enough to be gentle". It kinda pissed me off a bit at how out of character Michael Bay made Optimus. Trying to cut down on the bloodthirsty shit Optimus would say and return him back to his roots.

In fact, Peter Cullen himself stated that he wasn't quite comfortable with the line (not gonna say it) because as he said was out of character and it just isn't Optimus.

Briefly after introducing himself and his crew to the human teenagers, Sam and Mikaela, the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, turned to a voice that broke out from the corner of the alley, demanding to know who he was and why was he here.

"As I have spoken with Sam, my name, is Optimus Prime, leader of a faction of autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron. Also known, as Autobots. We are here because our planet was uninhabitable, ravaged by centuries of civil war." Optimus spoke calmly, almost somberly at mentioning his home planet that is now destroyed by endless fighting.

If only he was able to reason with his former brothers in arms, then he would have done something to help turn Megatron back from the darkness.

"This is Bumblebee, our scout. The rest are weapons specialist, Ironhide. Our medical officer, Ratchet. And lastly, our first lieutenant, designation: Jazz." Optimus spoke, introducing each of his Autobots to the humanoid lookalike of Charlie Watson.

As a matter of fact, Bumblebee took a liking to the lookalike because it so heavily reminded him of his first friend, Charlie Watson.

The retired veteran of 10 years nodded so silently, keeping a stoic expression while glaring at the Autobot leader as if she is taking in all he is telling her.

She had scars around her body, sustaining injuries from her ten years in service to protecting mankind.

"I'm assuming your war has brought your kind here to our planet over a resource both sides want, but different reasons." She deduced, contemplating.

"You would indeed be correct. Us Autobots came here looking for the AllSpark, a vital source from which all Cybertronians originate. It was revitalized by the actions of Sentinel Prime, former commander of the Autobots. The Cube, has the power to create worlds, and fill them with life. That is how our race was born. For a time, we lived in harmony. But at one point, Cybertron was once a powerful empire, peaceful and just. Until we were betrayed by Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. All who defied them were destroyed." Optimus replied, having namedropped Megatron, of whom he was once close friends with, almost like brothers.

"Our war consumed the planet for centuries until death overtook it, and the Cube, was launched into the far reaches of space. Megatron followed it to Earth, where Captain Archibald Witwicky found him. It only took an accident, that intertwined our fates." Optimus said informative.

{My grandfather.} Sam said, mesmerized with the newfound respect he has for his late great-grandfather.

"Unfortunately, Megatron crash landed, before he could retrieve the Cube." Optimus answered.

"Why does he want the Cube so bad? And to what purpose?" Dallas asked Optimus, intrigued but skeptical, keeping an ear out to hear any answers she would receive from the Autobot leader.

"Because Megatron fully intends to use it's power to transform your world's technology and create a new army of Decepticons, enslaving your world and taking over the universe. It is something we must prevent. Otherwise the human race would be extinguished." Optimus stated, speaking in a grave and urgent tone, revealing that this is no laughing matter and it must be taken seriously.

"As Optimus put it, he means is that if Megatron gets his hands on the AllSpark, he would use it's power to transform Earth's machines and build a new army to take over Earth. It mustn't share the same fate as Cybertron." Ratchet explained.

Ironhide interrupted them. "Sam's great grandfather accidentally activated Megatron's navigation system, causing Megatron to zap him, and he starts seeing the Cybertronian hieroglyphics, and the coordinates to the Allspark's location on Earth, imprinted on his glasses."

{How'd you know about his glasses?} Sam questioned.

"Ebay." Optimus spoke.

Optimus would then turn to Sam, optics trained on him.

"Sam Witwicky, you hold the key to Earth's survival. Time is short."

{Please tell me that you have those glasses, Sam.} Mikaela said to the teenage male next to her.

Dallas however, made it abundantly clear before that she hated humans and wanted nothing to do with them, remembering her own experiences.

She glared coldly, almost warily, but she was deeply unsure if she wanted to get involved.

Optimus could almost sense her hesitance at getting involved in another conflict again. But it prompted him to ask the retired veteran a question:

"Something appears to be troubling you. Do you wish to talk about it? If you are not comfortable, I will not press any further."

Snapping out of her trance, Dallas snorted with a scoff, a brow raised on her features.

"I'm not exactly comfortable about it, Optimus. It's more personal." She said with a scowl, before switching the topic.

"Get the boy and his crush back to his home and search for the glasses. Time is of the essence, assuming you need it posthaste."

"I, I'm sorry for my outburst, Optimus. Its just, I don't permit anyone to know me very well. I'm not the best person to be around. I fought a war since I was young. I trained and trained my whole life by the time the war broke out. Jesus, count the dead. Over 20,000 casualties, maybe more. What's next? Millions."

"It did not help my former friend betrayed me because of her jealousy I was of royal blood and she isn't. When her mother threatened my family, it was personal.
