Skin Care First, Makeup Second

Being a makeup artist and working in the beauty industry the biggest concern I have noticed is many clients seek a foundation to mask their problem skin, Many believe foundation is used to cover up anything and everything they don't want to see which is a myth. Proper skincare is the foundation for flawless makeup. Makeup should be used to enhance your beauty not create it that's why your main focus should always be skin care. The right skincare can transform your beauty and really minimize the use of heavy foundations and concealers.

Tip #1 To unlock a great skin care routine you need knowledge; pay attention to your skin, what do you notice? Are you Dry? Oily? Or a combination?

 Pay attention to the ingredients in your skincare and take the initiative to google search ingredients for a better understanding you’ll be shocked with what some skincare products use!

Tip #2 Don’t be afraid to ask, asking questions is the best way to inquire more information stop by your local Sephora and be sure to get some knowledge from a skin care specialist or if your skin is a little more problematic I encourage you to speak to your family doctor or dermatologist for more information.

Many of my readers have probably heard about the Anastasia x Mario Pallette and are probably wondering.. What is the big deal ?

Well, to start this palette was created by Mario Dedivanovic, a celebrity makeup artist well known especially as Kim Kardashian’s very own makeup artist and as well The Anastasia Beverly Hills team which is why this product has been very popular on social media.

Secondly the actual colours in the palette are absolutely stunning  the palette contains 12 shades that range from a variety of matte and shimmer, from warm nudes to dark dramatic cool tones which makes it super easy to rock a every day look or evening look with just this one pallette. Another really great thing I really fell in love with was how creamy and pigmented each shades were they blend so efforlessly and beautifully and pack in their colour.. This makes applying your eye shadows so much easier and faster!

Fall Beauty Trends 2016

Dropping the latest Beauxs from the six to you, so we are officially welcoming the fall! when new season arrives the trends do aswell. Summer sixteen was all about bronzed glowing skin. Fall is about:

1.The Artsy Liner

Transforming the classic wing liner into modern graphic lines varying from sharp lines and angles

Makeup is entering a phase where were ditching the normal and heading into the abnormal

I encourage and dare all my readers to play with this trend as it may be slightly intimidating 

2. Glitter

Yes.. I mean it GLITTER. This hot new trend is a great way to modernize your look

Whether you're adding some on top of your favorite lipstick or on top of your lid to make you smokey eye a little more glamorous.. glitter is the way to go..

For you ladies out there who are a little nervous by this trend I always say to myself.. if you can't beat em might as well join them and in this case it really cant hurt you!

3.  Dark Lips

Now we really saw this last fall and it was a huge hit so this trend has come back around again for a second round this season and I am so excited..

Dark lips can really dress up your face with such minimal effort.. but with such dramatic effect as a result

4. The Twiggy Lashes

For those of you who may not know who Twiggy is, she's an English Model from the 1960's who was very well known for the classic look of clumped together lashes

Using a maximum volume mascara and some tweezers this look is highly easy to achieve

Match with a bright florescent lipstick or a dark purple to really tie the whole look together!

5. Glossy Details

 Glam up your everyday look is by adding a glossy lip and I mean making that lip drenched in gloss girl!
