MERLIN | 4x10 “A Herald of the New Age”
Come walk the green fields. Peer into the mystic spring. Touch the bark of ancient trees. Smell the intoxicating fragrance of flowers. Feel the wind brushing past you, cooling the heat of the sun. Watch twilight spread over the sea, and gaze at the stars overhead. Sit comfortably with the earth and wonder at its power. The miracles of nature around us inspire the birth of magic. It's never not funny to me that Leon, the most by the books Knight in all of Camelot, hears Merlin say "I need a crossbow to kill the king right now." And his first thought is "Damn Merlin is being funny as hell today" and hands him the best crossbow in the armory.

You know I'd be popping out these type of things when my final paper is literally around the corner glaring at me.
Anyway, this is from Arthur's POV post Camlan. Maybe he did travel back in time and start over. "Lover" here doesn't necessarily mean literally, but kinda symbolize Arthur being someone Merlin obsessed over as a prophesied king and literally lost half his moral over and instead just... To be Arthur without all those destiny stuff that fucked Merlin up.
