Auren longs for freedom but is trapped by her complicated feelings for Midas. This first instalment totally let me wanting more. There was mention of Fae people who severed themselves from the connecting countries and have not been seen since which I always love when done right. Auren’s past is also somewhat of a mystery which I’d love to see develop. She’s an intriguing main character and I enjoyed following her journey to find freedom and independence.
