It's Been a While

I've been busy working out the kinks in my new grow space. I have to admit, a wave of spider mites came over DC when the warm weather started. I've been in hiding, and successfully avoided tracking the plague into my indoor grow setup. I've been laying low. Real low. Glad to be back! The new setup I'm running has less plants than before. I'm running a Viparspectra Par 700 and two bubble buckets. I've switched my nutrients to Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow and Bloom. I'm also running Terpinator and Cyco Zyme. The added enzymes from Cyco Zyme seem to combat and prevent root rot. Anyone who has had trouble with root rot should give it a try. I just finished out my last grow with Alison Wonderland, my F2 hybrid. It seems to prefer soil over hydroponic, but grew well regardless. Currently, I'm running Blue Dream in my bubble buckets. I have Strawberry Cough and Bubba Cookies in the form of seedlings. I recently came across a cannabis breeder and collector of rare strains. I must say, I now have an interesting collection of seeds. I obtained a supposedly true Moroccan landrace referred to as Beldia Hash. The seeds arrived in a small tightly wrapped package all the way from Morocco. I’m just super fucking bitter that once the flint water crisis got it’s 15 minutes of fame people stopped giving a shit. The water is still poisoned, people! Donations have plummeted and people have been forced back into drinking and bathing with the water! The medical effects of this are astounding, cases of legionnaires disease have skyrocketed, people are having seizures, people are having weird rashes break out over their body, people (including me!) are having their blood poisoned, and it’s not just lead! it’s coliform bacteria! it’s THMs! it’s all in the water and it gets into the bloodstream and breaks down blood vessels, causing bruising and petechiae and internal bleeding and no one gives a shit anymore and it’s only gotten worse like how many people are going to have to die until people realize this is still a problem

I would like to add that the people of Flint cannot sell their houses, because selling a house with leaded water is illegal. Additionally, households with children can’t stop paying for the water because living in a house without running water is cause for CPS to take their kids. Flint has been living this way for over two years. 

The people of Flint are trapped by the legal system. And it is only the most high profile case out many cities with a similar problem.

Even high energy strains can unexpectedly induce "couch lock" if left in flower for too long. Keep in mind what your looking for in a smoke and harvest accordingly. Everyone has a preference. What's yours?

When to add fertilizer?

This seems to be a frequent question. I hear many growers are afraid to burn their precious plants, and rightfully so. Nutrient burn can cause a crop to fail just as badly as deficiencies can. As a general rule of thumb, take the number of gallons of soil and translate that to months. A seven gallon container of decent quality soil should last your plant roughly 7 months (give or take a little depending on the strain). As long as you pH your water properly and prevent nutrient lockout you don't need as much fertilizer as people who want your money lead you to believe.
