listening to the mouth of the canyon in bed on repeat holding my stuffed animals after turning in and presenting my project on how the gaza genocide distorts narrative time. thinking about how it feels to be a college student ending my school career with the divestment campaign having as many students in it (only a few dozen) as it did at the beginning of the genocide because people moved on and forgot while israel bombs iran and invades lebanon. and it feels the same as it did two years ago as though no time has passed at all.

woke up at 7 it started raining I made chai from scratch and listened to the whole runtime of the canyon getting ready cried my eyes out now I’m sitting on the porch eating an egg and sweet potato bowl and waiting for my standing virtual therapy appointment. maturity.

every once in a while you’ll see people confidently repeating the story that the audio in brother is a real phone call conversation but the truth is it seems to be stock audio which was also found to be used in a tally hall music video from 2008 (honestly amazing that anyone even noticed that)
