I donât think itâs wise to dwell upon the past butâŠIt really was the perfect day, and it felt like I had the whole world ahead of me.
So how did I end up here then?
âThereâs plenty of ways to meet people, music, poetry, and here for example. I saw a few others using this and as another Champion figured I may as well join. Howâs that sound? So come come ask the artist anything you wishâ
OOC STUFF:
HIHI!! HELLO! You guys might know me from the @detective-drift and @scott-s-major rp blogs! If not I do also request you give those a look!
As far as boundaries go Iâm over 18 so shipping asks are a-okay, but donât go any further, this isnât an NSFW blog in any way shape or form. Mostly anything goes, Iâll update if that changes.
There WILL be spoilers for Pantheon SMP here, itâs a bit hard not to since itâs a RP blog. So be warned.

*There's a woman singing, from the direction it's coming from it's near the river. The melody has a weird pull to it, almost like it's inviting you to come close. It's...entranching*
@champion-of-kymopoleia
The champion of Apolloâs head tilts, looking towards the river and the melody. Lifting their lyre and playing a few cords in turn once theres a lull as she approaches.

Thereâs music in the distance, it sounds similar to what Pyro has heard previously in a certain cave. Apolloâs Champion surely the source as they play their lyre.
- @thechampionofapollo
He turned around, eyes darting around to try and find where the sounds came from. The sounds gave him some sort of comfort, fimilar too.
Must be Drift...
He whispered to himself. The sounds echoes between the cliffs, not sure where it was exactly coming from. Taking a few dozen steps, he'd find the Apollon Champion in the distance, playing music on her instrument.
Theyâre smiling, strumming along with ease. She seems perfectly at home under the sunlight in the clearing. Itâs a calm moment until they turn and see Athenaâs champion.
Drift offers a smile, lowering their instrument to address him properly.
Hey, Drift! I've been... fine. I've been recourse gathering. Everyone's too distracted by these blessings the gods are making them fight over, so I'm taking advantage of that!
He took a glance around before looking back at Drift.
âOh Iâm good! Finding bright sides left and right, you know anything to look past all of the doom and gloom!â
Drift answers, offering a bright smile and rummaging around before holding out a piece of bread. She knows Cleo said to look out for themself more but Drift has plenty really.
Fascinating! I've yet to get to growing crops myself... it's a wonder how fast people do it! Tell me, do you have any quick tips about crop growing? You seem to have a bit of a grasp.
Drift!! Hello!! Iâve been looking for you since I found this⊠whatever this is.
Oh, also- I flipped a coin a bit ago and it gave everyone flowers!! What kind did you get? I got red poppies!!
she smiles brightly, curling the edges of her blindfold. there are still a few remaining pocket poppies.
âShelby! Hi! Oh youâre the person behind the flowers? I was wondering where these sunflowers came fromâŠâ
Sunflowers seem a bitâŠon the nose donât they? Funny how fate works though isnât it? Apolloâs champion smiles though it isnât like the other would be able to see.
she pulls a few poppies from her pockets, handing them in the direction of driftâs voice.
I mostly made the flowers have a chance at happening so I could properly thank you. For being kind, and describing everything so nicely- even though you didnât have to. We barely just met.
But⊠she tilts her head down, as if approximating bashfulness. Itâs been nice. And youâve been part of that, even this early on. So⊠thank you. Really. Itâs nice to know people again.
Exactly!! Even if there comes a time for us to fight, and we do what we must- it is always nice to be nice.
once the flowers leave her hands, shelby fidgets with the ends of her belt.
âŠI liked when you described yourself.
there is a slight pause. she speaks once more, slightly louder than previous.
Could you describe some more people to me? Still lost in what everyone really looks like- aside from Nikos. Scott was only adamant that he was âhot and shirtlessâ.
âOh! Ohohohoh! I can do Scott Iâm like his biggest fan!â
They seem very excited, lighting up as she places the poppies down next to the sunflowers before grasping one of Shelbyâs hands.
âOkay! So Scott isâŠwell heâs got like white cloudy hair, itâs pretty short but it looks like it would be fluffy. His outfit is definitely more showyâŠlike a flowy light blue skirt with a gold belt, itâs not a light gold, itâs darker like how wheat looks at dusk. His top is a darker blue, like the sky would be before a storm, itâs held on his shoulder with a golden clasp, and then he has a white shawl wrapped around his arms around his elbows that fades into that same dark blue of his top.â
Once sheâs done their hand squeezes Shelbyâs before letting go and falling to the side. Maybe that was a bit too much detail, she got a little carried away.
she jolts for a second as driftâs hand finds it way to hers- but relaxes into it in time. letting the description wash over her as she puts the voice to the face. itâs⊠very calming.
Heheh, heâs pretty cloudy for a wind guy! Lots of blues⊠I guess that makes sense.
Wait- am I color coded too? Like- you have the oranges and yellows and greens, Scott has the blues- do I have a color? Or- you said armor, right? Am I just armor colored?
as she gets more excited, she does make a solid effort to fumble around for the hand once more, awkwardly placing her hand onto driftâa arm instead.
Drift hums, tensing at the hand on her arm before relaxing into it with a sigh.
âYouâre more armor coloredâŠbut in a more silver and grey sense than in an only one color sense. Like, your armor is silverâŠa lot like the clearest sight of the moon but thereâs gold trimming it, lighter than Scottâs gold but still just as pretty. Then you have a red sash around your waist to break it up, itâs similar to the color of poppies or roses I thinkâ
Ohh! Thats the fabric texture I keep feeling! Its really nice to pull on the ends of it a bit!
she uses her other hand to find the end of her belt, showing it has already begun to fray a bit. the edge is soft.
See? I like that its red- Thats the color my hair is- hopefully still is- and if not, the color it used to be. The gold trimming the iron sounds really cool too!! It's interesting to see the gods influences in our outfits!
Like...
she reaches her hand up drift's arm, feeling for the side of her head and the laurel that rests entwined in her hair. drift did describe leaves in her hair.
...your laurel! Hey, do you think if you arrived here with a victory crown that its fated for you to win? You never know with things like this!
Drift blinks, leaning down a bit to allow Shelby an easier time tracing their laurel. She laughs a bit at the question, surely out of all people here Drift isnât the one.
âMaybeâŠbut I think you have just as much of a chance as I do, Shelby.â
She hums, its a similar song to one they play on their lyre, simply to think. It would be nice to win and gain the wish, but on the other hand theyâre not even sure why Apollo picked her.
for just a moment, she thinks about how she can almost hear the smile in drift's voice as she speaks. as she hums.
That is how fate works, I suppose. We all have a shot- that's why we were brought here! It was... meant to be us. Otherwise, what is meant to happen won't happen the way it is meant to!
she starts pacing, gesturing with her hands as she talks- reluctantly sliding her hand away from drifts head.
Like- you make sense, youâre very good with music- and Scott is very flowy, and Nikos is very booming- but why represent the goddess of lucky if my death was so unlucky? Why have Owen regain sight but instead of vision itâs just of All Of Time?
her fingers itch at the sides of her blindfold.
Itâd be interesting to know what led people to being selected. But it was how it was meant to be from the beginning.
Drift straightens after the others hand leaves their hair. Listening to Shelby talk earnestly, stepping towards the ridge edge so they could catch her if Shelby missteps. Just to be safe.
âWell itâs like you said right? Itâs just how fate works right? I meanâŠthereâs reasons for everything so if this is our fates then who are we to ask questions?â
The champion of Apollo trails off with a sigh.
âI meanâŠI donât know exactly why Apollo picked me out of anyone else he could have had but- dwelling on the past doesnât help muchâŠbut Gods arenât exactly the clearest are they?â
Drift beams, placing her hands on their hips. They hum again before saying anything else.
âIf itâs anything like what we- well what most of us saw with Nobody and Pearl I donât think thereâs really much to it other than fighting as the end of the day.â
I mean, true. But that doesn't mean we have to fight in the meantime.
she's quiet a moment. still. speaking quieter, she says...
...If you went in. For the coliseum vote. And they made you fight. It'd be scary. Really scary. I'd try to give you my favor best as I could, but- I hope it happens as little as possible.
She goes quiet for a bit, taking in Shelbyâs words before reaching for her hand. Pausing, and then lowering their reach.
âIâdâŠâ
Itâs hard to find a bright side when youâre forced to face the reality head on. Yes theyâre both likely to be voted inâŠyes more than likely theyâll have to fight the othersâŠbut.
But, what?
âIâd do the same for youâŠnot that I want you voted in! But if you were Iâd give you my favorâ
really? I've never had anyone tell me anything like that before. thank you drift. I suppose meeting you might make this whole thing a bit more bearable, now that I think of it.
They stop, the humming dying down at the sound of footsteps before she turns towards the voice. Why do they seem soâŠ.familiar? Something pulls at her chest before Drift stands and dusts off dirt from their hand.
âWill I ever see you againâŠ?â
Thatâs definitely her voice as they stare, but why now when they have no recollection of life before here? Itâs nonsensical really, unless itâs a reason she was picked by Apollo perhaps.
âUhmâŠhelp would be nice but- sorry Hi, Iâm Drift I donât think weâve met before?â
They step closer, holding out a loaf of bread to the other, a peace offering of sorts. Warm and freshly made it seems
đąThe warrior went stiff slightly as she heard their voice. Why did their voice sound so familiar yet... not? Their expression didn't seem to change, stormy grey eye narrowed as she laced their hands behind his back. It took them a moment to realize that they introduced themselves, and she knew better than to be rude. After all, they had been the one to approach her first. So it would do them some good to at least be polite. He moved to attached their spear back to their back as she laid a fist over their chest.
"We have not." Least not in this life. "My name is Ulyssa."
It took them a moment to realize that she was offering them a loaf of bread. Biting the inside of their cheek, they reached out to accept it; after all it would be rude not to. They were careful not to catch their skin with their clawed glaive. After all, they always kept their armor sharp as any and every part of him was a weapon.
She smiles, head tilting kindly as Ulyssa takes the loaf. Their hands folding in front of her, he doesnât seem very happy to be over here. Judging by the narrowed gaze and all. Which is fine! Drift can be chipper enough for the both of them. Even if theyâre not the one that started the interaction.
That familiarity still clings, tugging incessantly at their chest the longer sheâs next to them.
âIs there anything I can do for you? I mean I know you offered help but you did come over hereâ
The champion of Apollo hums, she seems so relaxed compared to any others. The warm sun seeping into their skin and washing across her face. Itâs so calm when paired with the gentle tunes they strum from their lyre. The gentle smile seeming so at home across the champions mouth. Chosen by Apollo for a reason they still canât quite understand no matter how much she says sheâs about to.
Drift. What is it theyâve forgotten before appearing in that circle of people. Some of them seeming so familiar yet soâŠout of reach. She couldnât pretend to know why. Offering a spin paired with another pluck of strings seeâs them leaning down to pick some of the wheat sheâs replanted for bread.
Not as productive butâŠfood is better than starving isnât it? And itâs a good way to help people, looking out for others theyâve found themself close to. Sheâs welcome to meet others should they simply follow the music.
Bat, ever the curious soul, follows the distant music with an almost childlike eagerness, its ears twitching at every new sound. Its camera trail follows close behind, barely managing to keep up as the little creature darts through the air, weaving between branches and fluttering around obstacles with far more enthusiasm than caution.
Then it spots Drift.
The bat freezes mid-flight.
For a moment, it simply stares, eyes widening as recognition sets in. Then it lets out a tiny, delighted noise of excitement, its wings beating rapidly as it rushes forward.
âOh joy! Jackpot!â
It swoops in a small, celebratory circle around Drift before finally landing on a nearby branch. It adjusts itself, fluffing its fur and tryingârather unsuccessfullyâto regain the professional composure of an interviewer. The cameraman behind it shifts into position, clearly accustomed to this sort of thing.
The bat looks Drift up and down, its expression practically radiating curiosity. It opens its mouth as though itâs about to launch into some carefully prepared introduction.
Then it pauses.
Its eyes narrow slightly.
There is a moment of complete silence.
âNormally, I would tell you that youâre being interviewed,â it begins, sounding almost apologetic, âand I assure you, I had every intention of doing exactly that.â
It leans forward on the branch.
âBut I simply have to askâŠâ
Its little wings twitch with barely contained anticipation.
âDo you have banana?â
The bat stares at Drift expectantly, as though this is by far the most important question it has ever asked anyone.
Drift pauses, fingers held in motion as they look up at the bat. Curious, though itâs likely not impossible with Gods at work. She thinks for a moment lowering the instrument to give the bat her full attention.
âIâm sorryâŠI donât think I do, I have bread though! Iâm good on it so I can afford to share some with something as cute as youâ
The bat gasps so dramatically that, for a moment, it almost seems as though it has genuinely been mortally wounded. Its tiny wings shoot outward, its ears perk straight up, and it stares at Drift with an expression of absolute, theatrical betrayal.
âHow dare you!â it squeaks, clutching one tiny paw against its chest. âHow absolutely dare you threaten to give me bread! Do you want me to get sick?! Do you want to watch me perish before your very eyes?!â
It pauses, staring at Drift in stunned silence as though waiting for an apology. But interrupts again before she can speak. âYou heard it here first, everyone! Drift wants bats dead!â It points an accusing little claw toward Drift. âShe wants to give me BREAD! BREAD! Do you understand how serious this is?! This isnât a joke! This isnât some harmless little snack! This is a direct attack on batkind!â
The bat begins pacing back and forth along the branch, becoming more animated with every word. âAnd if she is willing to do this to me, imagine what she would do to other bats! What about the baby bats?! What about the elderly bats?! What about bats who are simply trying to live their lives, hanging upside down in peace, eating perfectly appropriate food, and minding their own business?!â
It whirls around dramatically. âNone of us are safe!â The batâs voice drops into a grave whisper. âFirst itâs bread. It raises one claw.âThen what? Crackers?â Another claw. âToast?â Its eyes widen âSandwiches?!â It recoils in horror at the thought. âNo. No, no, no. We cannot allow this to continue.â The bat turns back toward Drift, narrowing its eyes suspiciously.
âAnd donât think you can fool everyone by saying you didnât mean to hurt me. Oh, no. Iâve heard that excuse before. âIt was just bread!â âI didnât know!â âI thought bats could eat it!ââ It scoffs. âConvenient.âïżŒ
It takes a deep breath, clearly preparing to escalate the accusation even further. âAnd not just bats!â A dramatic gaspâDrift wants everyone who isnât like her dead!â
The bat throws its wings over its head.âI expected better from you, Drift.â It turns away dramatically, folding its wings behind its back. âAbsolutely despicable.â
The bat glances over its shoulder. âI am cute though, youâre right.â
Drift fumbles, staring up at the bat and then towards the camera before looking at the bat again. Itâs twisting their words so brutally thatâs not at all what they meant.
âThatâs all a bit of a reach, bat- uhmâŠreporter- Donât you think you should ask me? I mean a face as friendly as yours surely you could find a bright side or two?â
Really what could she do here?! Itâs a talking bat that seems intent on spreading lies about her because Apolloâs Champion doesnât have any banana! What else could they offerâŠberries? Do they have any glow berries left from the cave?
âI- I have berries? I donât know what Bats eat I donât remember ever meeting a bat before but I really really donât want you or bat kind dead- thatâs not what I meant!â
