The other day I was talking with a friend about this artist I have been following for many years that goes by the name Felly, and it turns out he was coming to Hawaii for his tour the very same week. In the past one thing, I've always tried to do is DM certain people that come here, and try to see if they'd be interested in shooting. Now, I've never really had any luck with that whatsoever but my friend Keili convinced me to give it another shot, and with all this crazy spiritual manifestation stuff going on right now it seemed like the perfect time, and guess what happened...
Long story short I ended up gathering a group of girls and we all showed up at his music video shoot the day after. Felly is actually a really cool guy, and after getting to know him and his crew during the shoot of their music video he invited all of us to the show and even gave me a photo pass so I could be the photographer. Now I actually got a whole lot of pictures from the music video shoot but unfortunately, i'm not allowed to share that...yet. Anyways, back to the concert. The show was amazing, and to be honest, all I really remember was the gnarly hyper focus I had while I was shooting. This was my first time ever shooting a concert as well as first time shooting in general since I made the switch from Canon to Sony, so you can imagine how edgy I was feeling.
So, there is a sneak peek at the photos, the rest will be below this blog post. Anyways, Later that night after the show he invited us back to the house to kick it with him and his crew. Turns out Felly and I have more in common than you think, and we ended up getting somewhat close that night so he invited me to take photos of the show they were doing the following night at turtle bay. I ended up spending all 3 days with them while they were here. Its crazy to think that this is all because of Instagram. Hopefully, our paths will cross again in the future.
