waltzing over as he fidgets with his bow tie; ocean blues fixated on her. she was aways beautiful, breathtaking so, but tonight, that dress, Beau physically couldn’t take his eyes off of her. “So how important is this thing we’re going to again…?” gaze dropping to her lips; unable to move away.

She’s a light sleeper – which is why it surprises her so to wake and realize her husband isn’t beside her. Early morning rays sneak inside, prompting a soft sigh from the doctor. A moment of pause, basking in the warmth of the sheets that surround her, before she’s up and tugging on a silken robe over her slip — padding silently down the hall to her daughter’s nursery. Door is ever so slightly ajar, revealing an empty room … which is when she hears it.
Juliette comes to rest at the bottom of the stairwell, cognac hues having settled upon the duo twirling about the space. Plush lips quirk upwards in an affectionate, albeit drowsy grin. How he’d managed to slip from bed and tend to Ellie without waking her, she isn’t sure, but she’s more than a touch thankful for the few extra minutes of rest he’d gifted her with this morning.

That’s okay though, I was missing mommy.” Ocean blues switching from his daughters to her ; smirk finding it’s way across his features. Slowly though the smirked turned goofy directing it’s back towards Ellie, spinning one last time before waltzing towards his gorgeous wife. “Morning mon amour.” Lips finding hers softly; “She definitely is though, we attempted to let you sleep. Worked for a little while.” words chuckled out as his hips swayed with the song.

The sun barely up, the soft sound of vynal jazz humming along the walls of the house as a very tired Beau danced around the living room with a very awake Ellie. “J’taime little one, but you know it’s still to early to be this awake. We wanna be quiet and not wake up mommy. We can listen to Sinatra... just no singing along.” Spinning around as the grin on his daughters face grew bigger and bigger; mimicking the one on his own.

She’s all too aware of the condition he’s in – hates herself for being so weak. Heights. Her boyfriend was bleeding to death from injuries he sustained while saving her, and she’s making it worse yet … all because she’s afraid of falling.
God, she’s going to owe him more than ever before once they’re out of here.

Juliette manages little more than a whisper, forcing herself to peek upwards at the space he speaks of. She hadn’t realized they were already so far up – her grip on him tightens, and it’s only then that she realizes how cold he feels now.
She definitely can’t repay him if he dies trying to get them both out of this mess.
Metallic taste floods her mouth at his words – for a moment the doctor thinks she might be sick, or pass out, or both. But she can’t. She has to do this. There was no other option available, and they’d wasted too much time as it was. Fucking hell.
The brunette doesn’t speak for fear of losing what little courage she had mustered, rather giving a tiny nod before slipping upwards are carefully as she could manage. For once, her petite frame is a blessing — she may not be strong, but at least she wasn’t a strain to support. Delicate digits seek out the grate, pushing the heavy cover aside with the soft huff. Cognac hues peer up over the edge – they’re in the clear.
Silently, the Banner pulls herself up and over onto the concrete of the roof, wasting no time in shifting to offer him her hand – fighting to ignore the twenty story drop.
Beau:
It takes him a minute to register that she’d even gotten out; his head resting against the same cool bars his fingers struggle to hold onto, breathing becoming more and more difficult and the urge to just close his eyes taking over. get up beau get the hell up. GET UP! springing to and grabbing her hand, he boosts himself up and over onto the rough surface. ❛ I’m beating your ass when we race in wheelchairs –- But I knew you could do it, Julie. ❜ Words breathless but laughing all the same, as he’s ocean blues search hers out; smile spreading wildly before looking over to the next obstacle in their path. ❛ Now think I can talk you through flying one of those? ❜ Chuckle turned cough, covering his mouth with his arm. It was getting more painful, and he wasn’t just thinking about his side; but his lungs –- the metallic taste covering his tongue. Pulling his arm away, seeing the blood from his lungs and attempting to hide it, Beau knew he was running out of time. ❛ Been worse. ❜ smirk returning as he locked eyes with her once more.

She doesn’t struggle in the slightest, assuming it’ll be all the easier for him if she remains pliant. The brunette emits a soft noise of distress, promptly burying her face in the crook of his neck and willing herself to focus on him.

Juliette comments quietly, coffee hues peeking up just quickly enough to see him before they flicker shut once more, all in an effort to avoid remembering just what it was they were doing – scaling a fucking building, and God only knew just how high up he was planning on taking them. It had to be heights.
She tends to forget just who it is she’s dating, in a sense. So familiar with the jokester, with the soft and sweet side that she tends to neglect the fact that he’s also a trained killer — strong, agile, and deadly. But if moments like this are good for anything, it’s for making her remember exactly who she’s with.
❛ You’re going to need it more than I do. Oh, but we could visit Anzio, too, and see the beach. A dip in the Mediterranean would be awfully nice, wouldn’t it? ❜
He continued to climb, pace slowing as dizziness began to set in; her words were all he was focusing on as his calloused fingers clung to the ladder. It was almost humorous to him, being here with her now. How was it that every time he was clinging to life her voice was in his head. She was like his angel of hope. Hope that he kept in mind as the light from the opening up top began to show. ❛ That sounds. Amazing. ❜ Pausing moments before the top, the tunnel beginning to close in on his vision; body cold as ice. ❛ Hey Gorgeous.... I need you to do me a favor, think you can do it? ❜ Beau’s words were quiet, strained for air. He knew she was afraid, but wasn’t sure how much he had left in him, and the grate above them had to be lifted, or neither of them were getting out of here. ❛ There is a helicopter on the roof, if you can climb on my shoulders and lift that door up there we can get to it.... The brunette hisses, and though the rational part of her knows her anger is being misdirected, the panic flooding her being outweighs her sensibility.
Still, she doesn’t fight it when he draws her near – nor does she pull away when his lips find hers. This, at least, is something she knows how to do.

Comes her hushed confirmation, voice little more than a trembling whisper.

Verbal confirmation was all he needed before leaving one final kiss; turning around and swinging her to his back. firm hands holding tight to her legs, positioning them where he needed; she felt almost weightless against him and as long as she held to the right spots the young assassin knew this would be a walk in the park. ❛ Hold on tight gorgeous, and I promise I won’t let you fall. ❜ Distorted by pain and thankfully hidden by their postion, Beau’s face cringed as his arms lifted and he pulled them up the first flight. ❛ So I heard Italy is nic—- nice this time of year. Maybe that should be our cool down spot. Drinks in Rome, Pizza in Venice? I think it could be nice. ❜ Stopping to laugh slightly, head peaking back over his shoulder. Making sure she was still breathing and hadn’t died of fear yet. ❛ I mean it’s no Paris, but it is nice. And when we make it out of this you deserve a bit of a vacation. ❜

She gives a visible wince at the rattling cough he emits – all too thankful that her expression is largely hidden by the low lighting of the space they occupy. Her hands seek him out, delicate digits pressing into his wrist, the other skimming along the wounds to his abdomen. Her stomach drops at the feeling of the blood soaked fabric of his shirt — and though his pulse is racing, she knows well enough that bradycardia could set in at any second.
They have to get back to the tower. Not for her own sake, but for his. He’s walking a dangerous line as it is, and what he suggests next doesn’t help.
Cognac hues shift from Beau to the connecter, and all at once, panic seeps into the doctor’s veins. She has to do what he says, has to get him out of here, get him on a transfusion line for the blood loss, and quickly – yet she can’t bring herself to move, every fiber of her being locking up at the idea.
❛ No no no —- I can’t do that, Beau, you know I can’t !! ❜
Already, terror laces her voice, and Juliette finds herself struggling to fend off the panic attack that could very easily get the both of them killed in this moment.

She practically skids to a halt beside him, every nerve in her body on edge. Juliette has never done well with conflict in any form – perhaps why people found her relationship with Beau so perplexing, given that his entire lifestyle was centered about fighting the so called good fight. He lived for moments like this.

Comes an all too amused reply – manicured brow perking just so. Still, she isn’t going to argue it, given the shape he’s in and just how close the others are to catching up with them. The sooner she can take a look at his wounds, the sooner she’ll be able to breathe once more. Still, even injured, he’s maintaining that ridiculous sense of humor. Jules wonders vaguely if he’s always like this on missions, or if he’s simply trying to prevent her from having a severe panic attack.

The doctor grumbles, before sliding all too nimbly into the duct, silently thankful for her slender build. It was going to be tight, more assuredly, but she knew for certain that they could make the fit between them work.

Head leaning against the wall; holding his breath so as to hear where the others were. with no sounds of them Beau let out a nasty covered cough; laughing as he did. ❛ —- well now that was a close one…. and honesty hour in the air vent…. Yeah I totally stole that from a cheesy spy movie but hey it worked. ❜ Another cough exhaled his lungs, but as the last he played it off like nothing; catching his breath and keeping a smile towards her. His body started to drain of color, feeling a bit colder than he’d like. Beau knew he was in trouble but it didn’t matter, he was getting her out of here. And for that he had to be okay… had. to. ❛ now all we have to figure out is 1. how to get out of here and 2. how to not die while doing number one…… No problem. We’ve got this [Spotting a connecting vent leading up] —- buuuut I might not be able to guarantee it won’t be ten stories up….❜

She doesn’t reply immediately, cognac hues trained upon his face despite the fact she’d long since memorized it. Juliette had never fancied herself a fighter – but she supposes if anyone could spot such a trait, it was Beau.
A sigh is exhaled, though the doctor’s exhausted facade is cracked with something that vaguely resembles a smile. That was something to fight for.
❛ —- fine. I guess I can’t argue it, if racing you in our wheelchairs at eighty is at stake, here. Though I don’t know if we’ve actually faced worse than – ❜
And there it is again. Gunfire. Shouting. How had she gotten mixed up in all of the madness? She can’t even remember how she’d found herself here. Delicate digits tighten their grip on his arms, and Juliette wills herself to stay calm. They needed to get out of here. He was hurt, she could tell that much, and the sooner they escaped, the sooner she could tend to all of his injuries.

The warmth of her slender hand tightening around him; gunfire in the air, Beau wasn’t sure what to do but there was one thing he was certain of, always, he was getting Jules out of here. No clue as to how but it was going to happen. ❛Don’t I always Mon princesse.❜ Enemies drawing closer, the sound of their footsteps only drowned out by the gunfire that followed. His brain was moving a mile a second, with each passing moment his grey shirt turning darker and darker, he needed to think of something quick... where to go where to go, come on Beau, where the fuck can we g--- OH! ❛ got it!!❜ abruptly coming to a halt in what seemed like just an empty hallway. but was it really. pulling the grate off the air vent, chuckling slightly as he turned to the stunning brunette. ❛Ready to get hot and sweaty together, it’ll be just like old times.... well except we’ll be in the air duct.❜

The confirmation is all it takes – Juliette all but MELTING into his touch without a moment more of hesitation, all traces of doubt having vanished.
A soft noise of SURPRISE fades into a contented hum, the brunette’s petite form pressing flush against his broader. Shiver of delight snakes down her spine as his hands find her skin – faintest of MEWLS falling from her as he teases. Well, she supposes some things never change.
❛ —– SECOND FLOOR, last door on the left. ❜
She manages, slipping the directions in between stolen breaths. Hardly an attempt at being PRESUMPTUOUS – rather, the stone counter top is cold, and it’s been entirely too long since she’s had his warmth wrapped up in her ever growing collection of FLUFFY BLANKETS. An easy fix.
That’s all he needed and before a seconds passed, stong hands grasped to her sides; lips not unlocking for a second, he had her up and on their way to the room. In the back of Beau’s mind he wanted to take it slow wanted to treat her like the princess that she was... but he also just wanted HER. He wanted the warmth of her body, completely and utterly intertwined with his. and the way his lips roamed her body as they climbed the stairs it was obvious. Fumbling with the door knob, not sure if he’d get it, Beau bumbled his way past the entrance; falling with her onto the bed. He stopped for a moment, lips pulling away for the first time as he balanced himself above her, ocean blues gazing down. “I love you Juliette Banner... toujour.”
His gaze continued, catching his breath. He meant it with his whole heart, his soul. and he wasn’t gonna continue till she got it. This wasn’t a ploy to get her into bed, wasn’t some game to have a place to sleep tonight. This was about them... her.... and just how much he really did care for her.

He’s right – and she knows it. Can’t help but gift him a DAZZLING little smile at his display of affection, his words. Juliette scoots just to the edge of the marble counter top, locking her legs around his waist, allowing her arms to drape over broad shoulders. Moment of pause, before she BRUSHES her nose against his, pressing their foreheads together – and when she speaks, it’s HOPEFUL.

Inquiry rolls SWEETLY off her tongue, cognac hues just meeting his gaze. She doesn’t care if it makes her silly, or weak, anymore.
“Oui tojours et pour toujours.” Fingertips skimming the delicate skin of her legs oh so tightly wound around his midsection, traveling up along her waist, under the soft fabric of her shirt. “Always and always and always.” Lips seeking her as if they were the first breath after coming up for air. What he’s wanted, craved. Tender yet passionate. His whole body arching into hers.. “Till the end of time.” words echoed between breaths, teeth nipping lightly along her bottom lip.
