Lights dance in every which direction in the strangest settling she has ever seen. The pipe-dream chord of music draws her further down the crowded path full of young children. “What is this place?” The question departs Mulan’s lips with a hushed flare and it is aimed at no one in particular. There was a tent rising from the land unlike those she had seen raised in the army camps.Â
Was this another army of sorts? Perhaps, this one was made of all children? If so, that was wrong. Mulan knew it to be so and she’d see an end up to this.  “Who are you and what are all these kids doing here?” The woman prompts .Â
Everything was proceeding smoothly. None of the kids seemed to have any idea what was happening, and they were as awful of a bunch than any he had seen before. That thought couldn’t help but draw a chuckle out of him; none of them ever seemed smart enough to even attempt to run away, which only served to further encourage his business. No one would ever find out because of that, and that fact couldn’t have made him any more happy. Most importantly, seeing those children get their just reward was enough to make his past almost seem more than worthwhile. All was well in the world. However... on this particular day, that wasn’t how things were going to stay. A woman had suddenly appeared, something that had never happened before... and he wasn’t going to stand for it. He rallied his shadowy servants and ordered them to capture the woman. She was to be locked away, where there would be no chance to cause any harm. Barker would allow no chances to be taken, as it was far too important to leave up to chance. Meanwhile, Barker also readied his whip. He would be ready to assist if it came to that.
