Three months have passed since the mysterious fire at the Colosseum facility. No one knows who started it and no one cares all that much. It was the nest of an organization that lived silently for ten years and was destroyed quietly in one night. But there are still many pieces to pick up. As agents come out of hiding and try to reassemble the CIA and MI6 back to the pillars of secrecy and protection they once were. 

But the CODA team cares very little for that. With the help of Gregory Miller, who was also secretly investigating Colosseum from within, the spies were able to testify and prove their innocence. Their involvement in both the CODA and BRAVO cases have been deemed heroic. Lena Marks, Noah Jones, and Henry Clarke have been given official pardons by the queen of England herself. 

The deemed ‘hollow men’ from Marion’s organization are currently undergoing specialized therapy in the hopes of pulling them out of their brainwashed state. So far it has been unsuccessful but  MI6 is going to keep trying. Additionally, the CIA will be holding a funeral for Bobby Kane soon, but due to conflicting desires between the agency and Bobby’s family a consensus as to where the funeral will be has not been met yet.  

The CODA team did not get through their experience at Colosseum unscathed. Noah Jones now requires the use of a prosthetic leg, custom designed by fellow agent, Mortimer Redford. In terms of other physical transformation, Klara Marks is late into her pregnancy and is expecting her first child within the coming months. 

On this day, in early August the team reunites again. They are as whole as they can be, but not perhaps as whole as they would have wished to be. But they push that out of their minds. Because today is a day for joy and celebration. Today is the day Mortimer Redford and Levi Mercer get married.

PROGRESSIVE PLOT DROP. 

The party is progressing with ease, the dark evening growing late and some guests have already begun to file out. Those who have something better to do: perhaps another party or a night spent with someone they just met. The tally for donations is ticking close to nearly two hundred thousand. So far no one has come out to make announcements or a speech. It’s been strangely quiet on behalf of the host. 

But there is one woman, a tall redhead with a dazzling smile and inherent grace, that has been introducing herself to everyone and thanking them for attending. If there is any lead for the person behidnt he event it’s her. She seems to have taken a particular interest in Mortimer, eyeing him from across the room with sordid glances for the past few hours. Only now has she approached him and Levi, and introduced herself: Marion Clare. 

In the bustle of the crowd it’s easy to get lost and to lose each other. But now as it dies down Noah has noticed an absence in his pocket. Someone has lifted his wallet which includes multiple false identification cards as well as a picture of his new family. Unsure of whether it fell out or if someone stole it he’s asked for Lena’s help in locating the prized possession. 

Charlie was doing well on his own at the party, socializing with guests and keeping an eye on his fellow spies. A few minutes ago he was cornered by Gregory Miller, who seems quite eager to speak with Charlie. Gregory has not revealed whether or not he recognizes Charlie, but his determination would cause one to think so. Charlie now faces a trial of pressure, as Gregory, as master interrogator, has trapped Charlie in conversation. 

Henry and Roman have successfully entered through the kitchen and are keeping an eye on the funds count and the clock. They need to find a place to hide until the end of the party so that they can fully search the mansion for clues in peace and quiet. However, staff rooms are too busy and so are the designated guest regions. The trick is to find a private space without getting caught. 

Klara has found an unlocked door on the second floor, which led down a darkened hallway. Curious and unsure she explored a bit further. The area was clearly off limits to guests but it was completely silent, no vip guests or staff in sight. And no lights save for the dim glow coming through the windows. One side of the hallway was lined with doors and one, particularly forboding waited at the end. Klara opened that door to find the room on other side empty save for a single chair. And in her search for a light switch, the door closed behind her and was locked from the other side.

WHERE: Casablanca, Morocco

WHEN: May 1968

It’s the night of the gala and the team is prepared to enter the elite and heavily guarded event. It is taking place at a lakeside mansion: two stories, styled after greco-roman architecture, with a valet at the front of the circular driveway, and large walls covered in vines protecting the expansive and well-maintained grounds. There is already a line of luxury cars waiting to be handed off to the valet, and men and women in formal clothes of the latest trends are making their way to the front door.

Warm lights pour from the mansion’s windows and down into the dark green gardens. For Lena, Klara, and Noah the darkness will be nice cover for them to climb the wall, but will make handholds harder to spot. There may be guards patrolling the perimeter or guests looking out over the garden from the second floor, so they must be stealthy and quick.

Levi, Charlie, and Mortimer are attempting to enter through the front door with the rest of the guests. There are two guards on either side of the doorway, and a man checking the invitations at a podium. They must put on their best show and pretend to belong, praying that Noah’s forgeries will grant them access. Levi has been given the one genuine invitation, and the three must choose to either enter together and have the two fakes cast suspicion on the genuine invitation or run the risk of Levi entering alone. If Mortimer and Charlie are caught, at best they will be escorted away and at worst the guards will take them inside and question them.

Roman and Henry are posing as caterers, joining the team of well-dressed staff that is currently positioned near the back of the mansion by the lake. Henry and Roman are posing as temps, using credentials forged by Noah and networking done by Lena earlier in the day. They must withstand the unreasonable demands of patrons and not catch the suspicion of their boss.

There are two complications to the plan, going by the names of Stone and Miller. Mr. Stone who the invitations was stolen from has somehow procured a new one and was seen entering shortly before Levi and Mortimer. He will surely recognize and of the team of sight and he is known to be a member of the syndicate the team is trying to uncover. They know he’s slippery and tough, and if they want to get any information out of him they’ll have to get him away from the crowd and secured to prevent another escape. Don’t let him out of sight.

Worse though, is Gregory Miller, the leader of MI6 thought to have been killed in the shooting. Whether or not he is at the gala because he is a member of the syndicate or if he’s there to investigate is unknown. Confronting him in public may be dangerous, as the team wants to avoid creating a scene, and it’s likely he too will recognize any of the former CODA agents on sight.

But the main objective of the night: find the host. Whoever if coordinating the event will have strong ties to the organization and may even be a leader. This person is essential to the investigation, but kidnapping the host tends to be thought of as a party foul. If the team can find a way to stay in the building until everyone has left they may be able to see which important figures linger.

THE OBJECTIVE: Get into the gala, avoid detection, identify the host, stay after the party ends.

WHERE: Casablanca, Morocco

WHEN: May 1968

With all that occurred that afternoon it was imperative for the team to leave Cairo as quickly as they could. Levi’s injuries were enough to delay them until evening , but the questions from the police were drawing too much attention. And the additional threat of whomever runs the secondary MI6 building tracking them down was enough to drive them to retreat. With Henry and Levi being tended to by Charlie the team escaped the hospital and hotel undisturbed. Roman piloted the plane to their next destination: Casablanca. 

They are staying at a small but well decorated hotel in Casablanca. Lena has done some research on the event they are supposed to be attending, or rather the event Mr. Stone was invited to. Apparently it’s a charity benefit for a scientific research cause, the name of which Lena believes to be fake since she could not track down the organization. The event is extremely formal and will require the team to wear their best black tie formal outfits in order to be allowed in. 

Noah is hard at work analyzing the invitation pulled from Mr. Stone’s luggage. The team has decided that Levi will be using the real invitation and Mortimer will be using a forgery created using Noah’s expert skills. It’s a difficult document to replicate but Noah says it can be done. Levi is still recovering from his injuries but he says he will be well enough by Saturday evening to attend the event. 

Mortimer is working on typing out all of the files he memorized and hopefully they will offer some insight and perhaps even offer some insight as to the targets or adversaries that might be at the gala. From the agent files Lena and Mortimer read the following statuses have been revealed: Malice - inactive, Apollo - inactive, Fugue- inactive, Tecne - missing (rogue), Patroclus - deceased (unconfirmed). Lena also checked in on some former MI6 associates. None of them were labeled ‘Inducted’ thankfully. But she was not able to retrieve the files for Levi’s former Heracles team members. 

Lena and Klara have opted to survey the location beforehand, which is a private mansion. They don’t know what the security will be like so they plan to do some reconnaissance in the time between now and the event. Henry and Roman will be entering the event by dressing as caterers and entering through the kitchen. 

It should be an easy mission. But the team knows to keep their guard up. They should be especially aware of Mr. Stone who may have been able to make his way to Casablanca and procure a new invitation. If he is there and he recognizes one of the team members they will be compromised and possibly captured. Perhaps getting in is the easy part.

PART 1 : OBJECTIVES

This part is fairly simple: tell me everything you want to happen for your character in this rp. It can be a bullet pointed list if that’s easier. All of the character arcs you’d like to see completed as well as specific scenes or moments. Think about all the parts of your character’s lives that work as plot threads: we have the opportunity to tie all of them up. Do not hesitate to bring up stuff that feels unrelated. This rp is about your character specifically as much as it is about the overarching plot. Why do you want to see happen before it’s all over? Remember we have about two / three months before we wrap up this story and put a bow on it! Don’t miss your chance, this task is the right place to be selfish!

Start by telling me whether or not you are okay with your character becoming an npc written by Admin Kay under the guidance of your parameters. If you want your character to become an npc please write down all the specifications you have for how you want your character to be played. The admin will try their very best to maintain an accurate and respectful version of your character. Additionally, your character will only be used as an npc when necessary.

The second option is that your character can be removed from the story. They can bail on the mission, go missing (be kidnapped or held hostage), or be killed. This is for you to choose. If you would prefer this to having your character as an npc, please write all the details and hopes you have for your characters end. WHERE: Cairo, Egypt. 

WHEN: May 1968

The team did not get so much as a name out of Mr. Unknown, not from him personally. For when Lena and Levi entered the room to interrogate him they instead found that he had broken his bonds and escaped through the window (which he had pulled from the frame without damaging it or making a sound). This was a disappointment, however, the search of Mr. Unknown’s room was far more successful. 

Mortimer managed to find a file tucked behind a painting, and while it was not the manifesto he was hoping for it did reveal some insights which were not new information to the team. In fact, it was a list of the CODA members and their known contacts. The list was thankfully quite short, and was mostly restricted to the knowledge gathered from the final inquest be Gregory Miller. Tucked inside the clock there was a key 

There was also a passport, which through Noah’s inspection was deemed fake. The name within Robert Stone, an alias. But it was better than the nickname Mr. Unknown. Also inside Stone’s luggage there was an invitation, not addressed to him personally but preaching that it was of the highest caliber and only the elite of the world were to be invited. It is a party taking place in Morocco in about two weeks, and the team has decided to be there and perhaps attempt to infiltrate. 

Inside of the clock, tucked in between the gears was a small key. Not large enough to open a door and not small enough to correspond to a jewelry box, the key has no known function. But Lena has put it in her purse for safekeeping. 

But the team’s first focus is on the information revealed by Lena’s overtracing of the impressions on the hotel provided notepad. Written in hasty script was an address in Cairo. Lena used a previous connection to inquire about the address, and Kenneth revealed to her that the address corresponded with a small municipal building MI6 used as a secondary location to keep duplications of important documents. Highly classified. 

The only problem is, the security for the building is extreme and the files are located on the eight floor. If the team wants to get in . . .they’ll have to climb. It’s nearly one hundred feet up, and would be a climb without ropes or any sort of security. If the guards catch them it’s likely they’ll be shot on sight. And they have to keep the public’s eye away from the climber so a distraction will be necessary. 

THE OBJECTIVE: Devise a plan for entering the file room.

WHERE: Chalet Calpurnia -  Swiss Alps

WHEN: May 1968

Thus far the mission to recruit former CODA mission agents is going well. Despite initial reluctance and the fact that they have a lot to lose if things go south Agent Endeavour and Brunhilde have signed on to join the team and pursue leads, but on the condition that they have the opportunity to leave at any moment. Brunhilde’s brother, given the codename Pawn, has also agreed to join the mission and offer his medical expertise in case there is ever a need. Hopefully, there won’t be. 

But all is not well, there seems to have been negative ramifications for Agent Patrolcus coming to the small town tucked away in the alps. Agent Brunhilde spotted a mysterious man watching her and Agent Fugue in the plaza and from the looks of it he was intentionally surveilling the agents. Brunhilde suspects the team is being followed. 

The description Brunhilde provided is tall, burly but not overly muscular. With a nice haircut slicked back in style. Brunette, perhaps graying. Strong jaw. Conventionally handsome. Wearing a tailor grey suit and dress shoes despite it being early morning. She could not offer more insight as to his appearance because she only saw him from a distance. But he is assumed to be an agent of sorts, due to his ability to evade. Assumed armed and dangerous. 

Brunhilde managed to track the man back to where he is staying: the ski lodge on the mountainside. Despite it being may there’s still plenty of snow and the mountain is active with guests. The team has decided to find and interrogate the man and also break in this hotel room to look for clues. While they want the man alive so that he can be questioned, Brunhilde has requested that if he gets loose and there’s a clean shot to take him down they execute him. If he knows too much, they can’t let him live.

THE OBJECTIVE: Find an interrogate suspect. Investigate hotel room for clues. 

THE TIMEFRAME: One day.

PROGRESSIVE PLOT DROP

Recruitment is going well, or, as well as if can for the coda team who is prone to chaos and misunderstandings at nearly every turn. Through the contact of Agent Apollo, the former double agent Tecne has been located. While the codebreaker is not chomping at the bit to jump into the line of fire once again the alternative is to sit back and watch as governments fall into ruin. 

There is still no word from agencies, even as time passes, and the phone lines and emergency rendezvous points are filled with nothing but ghosts. Contacts seem to be dropping off the map like flies and MI6 headquarters has closed its door, signs state that it is undergoing renovations for an indefinite amount of time but as to what that actually means no one can tell. 

But with Agents Fugue, Patroclus, Malice, Apollo, and Tecne on board to uncover whatever malignant secrets are growing in the underground there is at least a shred of hope for recovery. They head next to the foot of the Swiss Alps, hoping to find the missing Agent Brunhilde whose location was concealed in a coded christmas letter. Her exact address is uncertain but she’s hard to miss, especially in such a small town. Hopefully finding her will also help the team track down Agent Endeavour who disappeared at the same time.

in his time at mi6 the expert was  well known poster boy among the agency. while he was not known to the public if there ever were to be a ‘face of mi6′ the expert would have been first in line. a brilliant marksman and talented strategist, the expert knows when  and where to strike. he was solo or leader on most of his missions, and after years in retirement has become even more set in his ways. he has a lot to offer, but as a fresh face on the team his arrival may disrupt the order that has become so familiar.

the doctor

the doctor was not trained to be a spy and has limited knowledge of espionage. but after being held hostage by vronsky and used as a pawn in the a nuclear crisis, he’s gained insight into the cutthroat world of spies. but  his expertise in the medical field served them well and will continue to do so. the doctor is trained in first aid, medicine, and surgery and is used to the high pressure environment of a operating theater.

WHERE: London & The English Countryside

WHEN: May 1968

Two weeks have passed since the shootout in MI6 headquarters. Agent Patroclus, one of the few survivors has not yet heard any word from HQ involving the current situation at MI6. As far as anyone can tell the agency is dead in the water, with every important figure either dead or missing. It was a coordinated attack to be certain. Agent Fugue received word from a former CIA contact that at the exact same time the CIA was hit with a similar attack, which yielded equally effective results. As it stands at the moment, every large spy agency in the world has been simultaneously mowed down and left in shambles.  

Agents Patroclus and Fugue have nowhere to turn for agency direction. The lines are dead and Themis’ last warning tells of a deeper conspiracy. In the world of espionage, when a member turns rogue it’s usually marked down to individual corruption. But the fact that at least one spy in every major agency worked together to disrupt the order betrays a much grander scheme. No one knows who can be trusted and who, of the survivors, was aware of the attacks before they occurred. The agencies are compromised and with no one sure of who to trust spies have retreated into the shadows. 

Agent Patroclus has decided to take matters into his own hands, and with the assistance of Agent Fugue, has managed to track down the only agents he knows he can trust, the agents he went through hell with: the CODA team. Most are off the grid, detached from agency or loyalty. He must convince them to come back to the fray, to partake in one last mission to restore order and right the wrongs of the mysterious attackers. 

Agent Fugue has already made attempts to contact Agent Icarus who was an active agent at the CIA only to go missing a few weeks before the shooting. His whereabouts are unknown. So attention has been directed elsewhere. First to be recruited is Agent Malice, who travels the world taking the jobs she can get. The most eager to return to the comradery of the team it should be no problem convincing her to assist. Next is Agent Tecne, who has taken up residence on a farm, working as a shepherd. He may be reluctant to return to the world which has already hurt him so much. Once those two have been collected, the team will venture on to find the elusive Agents Brunhilde and Endeavour, who have been missing for the past five years. 

There is no agency left to turn to, no government funding, no orders from on high. Just a broken team, a mystery, and a world to save.

CAN YOU SIT BACK AND WATCH THE WORLD BURN ?

It’s been five years since the CODA mission successfully defeated the global threat of 12 nuclear missiles which could have started world war 3. The world does not know of the crisis that occured, the sacrifices that were made, and the fallout left behind. That is the nature of spy work, to die unknown - whether a hero or villain. 

It is currently 1968, and much has happened in the world since the team last saw each other: the civil rights movement, the escalation of the vietnam war, and the assassinations of global public figures. There is progress and promise preached around the world, but it all seems to be at the cost of chaos. 

While the world at large revels over new technology and laments over old wars a threat has grown right under the noses of the British government. MI6 has been infiltrated by a crime syndicate dedicated to inspiring the apocalypse. This organization is determined to encourage and incite world powers going toe to toe through espionage, deceit, and veiled slander. 

Their first attempt was supporting Vronsky in pitting Russia against America. Now it seems that they have delved into issues all around the globe. Russian and American hatred still runs high, but now Ireland and Britain are on the brink of war, and civil wars have broken out across the globe. This organization, known as The Coliseum, is turning nation against nation with spies and double agents on every side. 

Recently, MI6 has fallen into carnage. An agent, previously thought to be loyal to Great Britain, opened fire in HQ. Agent Paroclus’ former Heracles project leader, Themis, used his last words to say ‘trust no one, the heavens themselves blaze forth’. The institutions made protect the world are falling in on themselves. Now, a group must be called to unveiled The Coliseum and restore order. 

Agent Patroclus knows the only people he can trust are his old team mates from five years before. They’ve been separated, some retreating off the grid for the sake of their own safety and some retiring into peaceful ignorance. Those were the lucky ones: the ones who made it to the end. 

With the world on the brink of destruction: Who is up for one last dance?

THE DANCE HAS NOT ENDED YET

It is 4 a.m. in London and a hush has befallen the city. All seems calm as the threat of nuclear war never reached the ears of the public. No one knows that the nation across the pond could have been obliterated if not for the sacrifice of one team, and one man in particular. But that moment seems far away now, only a week after. And plans are already set in motion to erase, repair, and move on.

Somewhere in the dark of MI6 headquarters a hunched figure looms over a screen. Only the soft green light casts a haze on their face while shadow befalls the rest of the room. From the hallway the janitorial crew can be heard - muffled by the thick wood door now locked shut. Within the room only the unsteady breathing and beep of the machine fill the empty space.

The figure takes a long drag from their cigarette and watches the smoke curl, half painted by the light. They wait for the message that they have been warned is coming. The metallic taste of revenge floods onto their tongue as ‘incoming’ plays across the display. So close yet so far away: they can feel the revolution rattle in their bones. Change is coming, not today or tomorrow. Cataclysm takes patience.

The coded message arrives: “Vronksy has failed. Activate the Gladiators.”

CODA 2 : BRAVO - coming may 2019

FINAL PLOT DROP

In the aftermath of the explosion the sky is shrouded in encroaching blackness. The warhead that could have leveled New York city manifested in the waves that lap against the shore. The team stood, broken and distraught, in the aftermath of their mission. The battle was won, but they remained ill at ease. With Eden’s sacrifice and revelations about Lena’s allegiance, there was a newfound fracture in their dynamics and they didn’t know if they’ll ever recover.

Charlie Brenill radioed for the Coast Guard, who arrived within the hour. Soon the island was flooded with MI6 officials and CIA representatives to investigate and clean up. The bodies of Vronsky and her ‘cause’ have been collected and are being identified. Leonard Wright is in custody to atone for his actions, while Vera Orlov and Anton Kipler are missing.

What remains of the team was flown to Washington D.C. for the final debriefing. Every member of CODA was expected to come into CIA headquarters are report their experience in the final altercation. Each individual interview would go on file so that the agencies could review and corroborate the accounts for a final call on the objective truth.

But within six hours of the plane landing in D.C. Agent Brunhilde, Agent Tecne, and Charlie Brenill disappeared. The CIA is looking for them but they seem to have left without a trace. The CIA has no idea why Agent Brunhilde or Agent Tecne would run and take a civilian with them, but there are hopes that the files recovered from Vronsky’s office will shed some light on the situation. While no call has been made as to whether Agent Brunhilde and Agent Tecne are enemies of the state, their service for MI6 have been terminated.

Eden’s funeral will take place Saturday morning, September 7th. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery, with a view of the Washington Monument in the distance. As September rains move in, the team has been welcomed to observe the ceremony, but to not initiate contact with any of Eden’s family members that will be present. This is the team’s chance to say goodbye to the man who saved their lives and who played a part in saving his country, although no one will ever know.

PLOT DROP

Agent Handler Feng has just broken the news to the team: Agent Patroclus has been relieved of duty, removed from the CODA mission, and will be sent back to MI6 headquarters. As a result, Agent Icarus will take his place as team leader. This is an extremely last minute decision, as the team feels they are at the eleventh hour of the mission. However, they are in no place to argue with Feng. Most of the team members didn’t even have a chance to say goodbye to Levi before leaving on the plane. Everyone assumed he would be boarding with them, but when he didn’t show Agent Feng explained the situation.

Everyone has been instructed to board the flight to Greece. The flight itself will take a little under six hours and because the team left at 5 a.m. Moscow time, they should arrive at the small island just off the tip of Crete at noon local time. This private island features the alleged home of the infamous Vronsky. It has a mansion, a helicopter pad, and docks  as well as some unknown buildings made from cement. From an outside glance they appear to be bunkers. Surveillance has noted that this island is teeming with activity. It is fully staffed, and helicopters fly in and out on the daily. Whatever operation Vronsky is running, they have over two hundred people there to help.

The team will take a private plane to Crete, and a discreet motorboat to the island itself, hoping to enter undetected from the deserted back half of the island. For now they gear up, distressed and anxious as the six hour flight looms ahead of them. They are without their leader,  and without their codebreaker. All they have left to rely on is each other, but tensions are high and trust has worn thin.
