cosmetic items behind gated behind content isnt necessarily a bad thing, it’s the fact that it’s locked behind content that the devs know is unpopular and is largely disliked and they’re dangling what they know we really want like carrot-flavored bait to get us to run their unloved content in a ploy that’s so obvious it’s insulting.

there’s no reward they can put in the hellhole that is eureka that will ever make me go back there, sorry SE.

It’s these kind of manipulative tactics that make people start quitting MMOs they enjoy. Squeenix isn’t nearly as bad as other MMO companies, but hopefully Squeenix will realize and stop with updates like this.

I was already kind of upset they locked hair behind PVP in the same reguard…who does pvp in FF? And the amount of wolf marks you need to get to unlock hair is almost Max wolf marks. Not to mention if you dont like the hair you unlocked on your character youre kind of screwed that happened to me.

I know the team worked really hard on creating this content, but please do not force us to play this content by locking things the majority of the playerbase would want behind said content…

The best parent in FFXIV...

is Midgardsormr! He carried his unhatched brood across the galaxy from the heart of the first world (the first world that sprang forth in the universe, according to what he says in O10S). 

It was such a long journey that even Omega was malfunctioning/losing its way trying to follow him.

Midgardsormr arrived on Hydaelyn and made a pact with Hydaelyn that he made good on when the Agrius attacked Mor Dhona. Since he has been traveling with the Warrior of Light, we see that he has such a deep concern and love for his children. 

He is one of my favorite characters and despite being in slumber, I hope we see him again sooner rather than later.
