I just started playing DND! We only have 3 players (4th has been MIA for 2 sessions and we think they might drop) and it's fun! Though we only gather once a month. 2 of us have no idea what we're doing but the 3rd is a vet. So is the Dm. Can you give me some pointers you've learned from your time so far? :D

1) don’t touch mysterious glowing pools

2) don’t be friendly to overeager gnome children unless you’re ready to adopt them 

3) don’t waste an inspiration roll trying to stop aforementioned gnome child from throwing a rock down a hole full of monsters, it won’t make a difference

4) you can avoid a barfight with Racist He-Man if you cast Command on him and tell him to apologize to you in front of all of his shitty friends

5) if fantasy Jeff Goldblum asks you to bring 5 crates of smelly mushrooms to the next city for him, say no

6) if you meet a fake wizard mayor, i don’t care how nice he may seem or how much the townsfolk like him, just do me a favor and punch him just like, right in the face for me

ok so this question is kind of Deep but w/e. My brother is going to school to become an animator and he is v reluctant to show his art. I never know what to say when he does bc I feel like just saying that's really good! doesn't feel like enough. But at the same time I know literally nothing abt any of this. So I guess, like what would you have wanted to hear?

Hmm. I mean, it depends on the person, obviously. Some people really seek validation from others to encourage them to keep going, some people only need the validation for certain pieces. I think asking questions might be encouraging? A way to show that you’re interested beyond just “oh, i like the way that looks!!” Like, what made you choose that body type for that character? How did you come up with that outfit? Does that tattoo mean anything to the character? How did you decide what to do for this scene when you were animating it? 

It shows that you’re interested and invested, and it gives him a chance to reflect on his own decisions, a lot of which he may have made without thinking. Then he’s simultaneously encouraged by your interest and thinking critically about his work.

That’s what always got me hyped about my own work when I was in school, at least.

Do you have a fav eyeliner you'd recommend?

i know jack all about makeup but someone who Does know their cosmetics turned me onto a cheap(ish) one I like: Maybelline Master Precise by EyeStudio. I think basically as long as it’s liquid with a brush pen tip i’ll like it though

Tell me more about your character for the D&D campaign

while i’m pretty sure i’m one of the last people in my social circle to still have a tumblr, i dont wanna risk spoiling my tragic backstory to those in the campaign, BUT,,

his name is Wild and he’s the champagne of people. he’s the kind of person who would come upon a burning house, and if its got nothing to do with him, would unfold a lawn chair and kick back to enjoy the show

he’s also very hygienic and vain but thats because it’s one of the only things he has control over anymore in his life so that ante got mad up’d.

is there something that you do do/watch/read/listen to that gives you inspiration or does it come at random times?

I have a ref/inspo blog! It’s got helpful things i should really look at more often, and lots of choice art of all kinds that makes me wanna draw. So I guess I look at that stuff when I need a mario kart speed boost?? but in college i learned that when art block hits, sometimes you just gotta chill and not draw for a while, y’know?

I’ve actually been.... thinking of doing one?? Like, dont get me wrong they’re a fuckton of work and i am worried about my ability to stick with it, BUT,,, i have this goof ass fantasy story that i’ve been having a lot of fun with and I think it’d be cool to do something with it
