As an ADHD woman who was diagnosed late in life, I have been struggling with ways to help myself that work for me. I had a few goals in mind for my ADHD journey: 1) learn what ADHD actually is 2) learn what it might look like for a woman, and why it is often hard to diagnose women at a young age 3) get medicated to unlock my full potential 4) learn tips and tricks to help me function in everyday life and finally 5) to help those just like me. Now, as a therapist, it isn’t that hard to help others, but to be able to help myself is where I fell short. While scrolling through TikTok one day, I came across this workbook called The ADHD Focus Friend: A Planning + Productivity Workbook by Grace Koelma. Now, this workbook was written by a woman with ADHD and has applied these skills herself. I am still working through the workbook, but the insights it has given me have been unmatched. If there is one workbook that I could recommend to people who are also on their ADHD journey, it would be this book. If you would like to obtain one, the link is provided.
