Fauna

Name: Fauna Maritza Garcia

Age: 26

Occupation: Student of Botanical Science, and Defense Class, super hero for K.T.F.O.

Fauna grew up in Santa Marta, Colombia before coming to Tetrad City. She had a normal childhood, aside from being born an obscenely powerful superhuman. She never really wanted to model, but most people said she should and peer pressure is a rat-dog-beatch.

She was never fond of the idea, and in time she realized people were starting to consider her nothing more than a pretty face. She decided to study botanical science (cuz shes basically a plant) in the U.S. and after happening to wrap up a purse snatcher she decided to try her hand at organized superherodom with K.T.F.O.

IN OTHER NEWS (September 5th, 2016):

Man! Baltimore Comic-Con was AN EXPERIENCE! Met a whole bunch of new people, learned some awesome lessons courtesy of the pros I got to wig out in front of, and take a lot of pictures of cosplayers that made sitting in front of the table a lot less boring.

Unfortunately, this didn't really translate into a lot of sales, but I think that speaks more to my inexperience as a convention vendor than anyone's interest (or lack thereof) in the comic (Ex: Having a banner adds verticality to a display and makes them easily discoverable in a crowd. Guess what I didn't have).

It also ate into my production time (since quiet time is better spent scouting for new potential audiences, rather than just working on the comic, oblivious to passer-bys), which isn't that bad for the static strips (which generally only take a few hours), but for the animation/interactive bits... Well... (see above, if you're reading this today)

But overall, I have mixed feelings coming out of B-more. No time to dwell, though, SPX (Small Press Expo-hit "next" until you find me) is next weekend! AGH!

If you're reading this immediately, you'll note there's no animation. No worries, I'm working on fixing that. Getting the update out is more important. (Is anyone getting a sense of deja vu?)

In other news, This was one of those strips where I started out thinking it would be simple, and then realized I wanted to add some more animation late in the process... not my best idea. The patch will come on Wednesday.

IN OTHER NEWS (August 15th, 2016): In other news, I feel kinda weird about this one. Weird that there's no dialogue, sure, but also I'm not entirely sure of the necessity of this strip. I needed a tone changer between the beginning and the next bit, so I figured putting all the main characters together in a single strip worked best. Also: ITS THE BAD GUYS FROM ISSUES 2 AND 3! Was it intentional? You'll never know! What do you think?
