Meet Akira, a quiet 17-year-old student who shares the exact same morning routine, the exact same train platform, and the exact same silent moments with a stranger on the 8:15 train. Is it just a coincidence, or is the universe trying to tell them something? If you have ever loved someone from afar or wondered about the "what ifs" in your life, this story is for you.

The Showstoppers is a hybrid animated short film premiering on YouTube at the end of August!

This project was a student film produced by JoyBott Animation in 2025. The short is 7 minutes long, featuring mixed media elements and original music.

This is probably the most ambitious film I’ve ever directed, so I’m very excited to finally share it! Couldn’t have possibly asked for a better crew to tackle the project, everybody was incredible.❤️
