i hate how i feel like im asking you too many questions :(. just love how you think
if the thing abt will and el being like superman and clark kent (did i write this right) appears, what would this do to the love triangle?
Hey! Don't feel bad, I love answering questions! š
Simple answer: just like Superman/Lois Lane/Clark Kent, the triangle was actually just a line between Will and Mike this whole time!
Complex answer: to start, I don't think any of the three characters have any clue. Maybe El has an idea but that's it.
Mike thinks that he's dating El but has no idea that El is an extension/alter ego of his best friend, Will.
(Above is some solid advice from Steve⦠be yourself, Will! Mike loves you, not Superman. Below is Willās internal dialogue.)
Now, before Mike realizes that Will is in fact, āSupermanā (aka El), we need to know that he loves Will and chooses him. This is important.
(In this scene, Mary Jane confesses to Peter that she loves him, not knowing that heās Spider-Man. Despite her being literally saved by Spider-Man, she chooses Peter.)
So, Mike makes his feelings known to Will⦠perhaps Will pushes him away (for selfless reasons⦠like the scene above). Mike still holds onto hope, though, and deep down he has a feeling that Will has always somehow been āElā. That the painting is the truth, not a lie⦠just not the full truth.
To be clear though, El and Will are not interchangeable, El is an extension of Will. She isnāt the complete the Will- thatās why Mike canāt love her in the same way (also heās gayā¦)
So then⦠eventually we get the reveal.
This whole time, El has existed because of Will. El is Will. Mike now knows the full truth. Not only does Will love him back, but heās also a superhero! He is Superman, and has been this whole time.
El and Will ācombineā back into one.
Iām working on a proper Willel post with all the evidence⦠but in the meantime Iāll leave you with this:
In this scene, Karen is reading a book called āTender is the Stormā. In that book, thereās a surprise twist at the end:
