My favorite Nana Kitade era, her punk loli looks will forever be god tier for me. This is how I tried to dress when I was 15/16 back in the early 2000s when I wasn't in my Tripps.

I found more bunny lolita pics ૮(ྀི ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ )ྀིა they’re from Victorian Maiden’s (now defunct) sister brand Beth!
Images are from a 2011 blog post, it links to the original (that had a tutorial apparently?) but that webpage is gone :(
Anyway I’m going to try and find more, I’m so obsessed 🐰

Return to Oz / Jean Marsh as Mombi and Sophie Ward as Mombi II
I was lucky enough to grow up in a town whose library had a nearly complete collection of the Oz books, so of course I remembered Princess Langwidere and her collection of heads! It was great to see that onscreen, even though they merged the characters of Langwidere and Mombi.
In the book, she only wore a simple white dress, as changing her head gave her all the variety she wanted. But I think the burgundy-and-plum gown created for the movie by designer Raymond Hughes is gorgeous, with its iridescent patches and art nouveau swirls. A particularly interesting feature is the rack of golden splinters trailing back from the shoulders, almost like they're trying to form into fairy wings but aren't quite complete.

Rose Ribbon Embroidery "Mini" Projects (for BABY NYFW) Part 2: Embroidered Bonnet
I decided semi-last minute to attend BABY's fashion show at NYFW!
BABY had mentioned in their NYFW brand description that their newest collection would be a return to their origins, as well as presenting archival items.
You have to dress to impress for NYFW, right? So of course, I had to pull out all the stops and wear my Rose Ribbon Embroidery.
Also at the last minute, I decided to make a few extra complementing items...
A matching RRE kumya JSK, and a bonnet.
What follows is more of a sew-along/journal rather than a tutorial or guide, mainly for my own memory's sake. But if you enjoy looking at my process (sometimes sloppy), I'm happy!
Also feel free to take a look at the more romantic process video I edited.

This made me so nostalgic, I rewatched Kamikaze Girls and am looking up how to ribbon embroider.
Crossposting my little video here on trimming fur around usakumya's face to make it cuter!
I think this is a common practice for Chinese and Japanese lolitas, but it seems to not necessarily be too well known overseas. I recall watching a video by Cordelia in the Summer who edited a clip by BABY shop staff about it, and wanted to try myself!
I probably could have trimmed more fur around the mouth but I didn't want to overdo it. Anyways, this particular kumya will be going to it's new home with yuefii!
Have to try this with my Usakumya, Grimm.
