[ behind closed curtains ]
[ after a month without an occupant, being in bobby's apartment felt like wandering around the tundra. Â luckily, the two had found warmth in his bed, and after a decent amount of exercise, they found themselves staring at each other, one of them a lot more stressed than the other. Â destiny sighed, cuddling up the man that laid next to her, trying to drown out the sound of his constant mumbling. ]
"What am I gonna do, Des?"
"You're going to stop worrying."
"How? How can you be so calm about this shit? Did you know that people like me usually get like five fucking years?"
"But you won't."
"Would you wait for me if I got five years?"
"Absolutely not."
"Some girlfriend you are."
"Not your girlfriend."
"Totally are. And a shitty one at that. You don't even care what happens to me."
"Of course I care, but I know for a fact that you won't get five years."
"How?"
"I called in a favor."
"What the fuck does that mean?"
"It means my uncle and I have an arrangement."
"The creepy Scottish one?"
"That's the one."
"What's the deal? Did you sell him a kidney?"
"No. But I did give him about two thousand extra dollars than what I owed him."
[ the man propped himself up on his elbow, giving the girl next to him the most confused and concerned look he could manage. Â she rolled her eyes, reaching out of wrap her arm around his neck. Â pulling him back down toward her, she placed a kiss on his neck. ]
"Relax. I sold my mom's jewelry."
"Destiny..."
"You mean more to me than a few ugly necklaces. Now stop worrying and kiss me before I get fed up and leave."
[ bobby let out an exaggerated exhale before complying. ]
