I had just finished a wipeout . Amidst all the destruction and rubble , I had heard faint meowing , and decided to investigate . And there I saw them , cowering with fear underneath a small shelter .

Out of pity for what they had witnessed , I decided to give them both a peaceful death , dying in their sleep . When I had returned to my realm , I assumed that they would just roam around in tranquility and wouldn't dare approach me . Alas , there they were , following me around everywhere as if they had no other purpose whatsoever .

I could sense loyalty in them . It's hard to pass up that opportunity . They may as well be useful . So , I took them in and trained them , up until now .

1). Usually to remind myself of my status , ruler of the dishonorable dead . It also simply pairs well with some of my attire .

2). Noli gave it to me during the crowning ceremony , once me and Lumiere were seen fit to have the ability rule over our respective realms .

3). A mix of many black rocks and ores.

How much time do you devote to mastering each weapon? How do you feel at the beginning and end of training (physically and emotionally)? Are there weapons that are easy or difficult for you to master? Do you make your own weapons or buy them somewhere? (If you do it yourself, then: how difficult is this process, how much time does it take and what materials do you usually use?) What is your favorite weapon? Where did you get the scythe from? Why is the scythe your primary weapon? What does the skull on the scythe represent? What materials is your scythe made of?

Keep in mind that I am asking out of pure curiosity and I have nothing against you!

I'll answer these , but I'd prefer it if you would decrease the amount of questions you ask next time .

1). It automatically varies depending on the type of weapon I'm dealing with .

2). Reasonably a bit tired for physically , and satisfied mentally . Training does equal progression , after all .

3). The spear . There are simple mechanics involving it .

4). I get them professionally made by a trusted blacksmith in my kingdom . Though , the craft does interest me . Perhaps I'll try it sometime .

5). My scythe .

6). I inherited it from my predecessor , Sorcus .

7). Personally , the scythe is a very useful and comfortable weapon for me to use .

8). I've never really thought about that , since the most obvious and sensible assumption would be death .

9). The snath is made out of ebonized ash wood , and the blade is made of hardened steel . There is also some iron and ore engravings in the wood . Additionally , I'm aware that there is some ancient magic bestowed upon it so that it's almost impenetrable to any damage done to the weapon itself .

Her voice was angry, but her face unwillingly showed slight panic. You could tell she was clearly in the middle of an April fools prank by the Santa costume she wore with a reindeer nose, and you could tell she left in a panic by how messy her hair was and how jingled her bells seemed.

S slowly turned around, holding some strands of light blue hair in one hand. She didn't dare utter one word of response. Instead, she simply locked her gaze onto her, its dullness only adding onto the goddess's panic.

Was there even life behind those eyes?

Her face appeared extremely stoic, invoking a dreadful familiarity experienced just last November. Does 99% ring a bell?

In her other hand, she gripped onto a pair of scissors. Not just any ordinary ones. The pure, silver ones, engraved with patterns and the blue jem in the middle.

What did she do?

She just stood there, waiting expectantly to see what Elizabeth would do next.

“S. S! Answer me! This is- fuck… hello?? S? Do you remember me? Do you remember ANYTHING?”

Her voice gradually increased in volume. Things had just gotten better, how could it all go wrong so easily now?

She seemed like she wasn't listening to her desperation. Only after Elizabeth was done shouting was when she took action.

She suddenly shoved Elizabeth away from her, allowing herself free movement. In a blink of an eye, she was right behind her, putting her in a fierce chokehold, tightening with each second. With her other hand, she brought the razor sharp scissors up to the back of Elizabeth's neck, inches away from a bloody puncture.

She wasn't there anymore.

Her first instinct was to freeze, surprisingly. This wouldn’t have been the case for anyone else, but S was a very different story. But this wasn’t S, though, was it?

With all the strength she could muster, she tried to push off S’s hand. Unfortunately, Elizabeth wasn’t at her strongest in the moment, and it was a challenge for even the strongest of beings to escape the grasp of death.

“S. LET GO. LET GO OF ME, NOW!”

Elizabeth violently shook, both in an attempt of defense and a release of emotions.

“S… PLEASE.”

A single black droplet fell onto the white fur of Elizabeth’s costume, the ink seeming to melt into a stain; ironically, the stain seemed to be shaped like a heart.

S then leaned in closer to Elizabeth's ear, her movement making Elizabeth shudder with fear. She sharply inhaled and whispered out:

"April Fools ."

And just like that. She said it! S immediately let go of Liz, her whole mood changing in an instant. Her face became sternly soft once again, and a spark of life was brought back to those soulless eyes.

She walked over to a vanity and calmly placed down the scissors, anticipating and preparing for Elizabeth's reaction, while also keeping her distance. She did just violently "prank" Liz, after all.

Elizabeth fell to the ground, slightly trembling. Ink seemed to stream from her face, despite it usually being blocked by her halos or such. The only way the flooding ink would escape her eyes when covered was if they were tears rather than wounds. She was silent.

She walked back over and carefully sat down in front of Elizabeth, still treading cautiously. She hesitated for a moment before lightly brushing away some of her black tears, and then gingerly holding one of Liz's hands. She was silent. Any words of apology or consolation just... Disappeared. All she could do in that moment was just be there. Exist. Wait.

There was no response from Elizabeth whatsoever. No flinching at the goddess’s cold hands, no acknowledgment of S’s reaction, nothing but quiet sobs and sniffles.

She continued to slightly shake. Her face was stained with a look of pained regret and betrayal. Sadness and tears was not a common expression to come from Elizabeth, yet here it was.

S's hand on Elizabeth's lingered a little bit before she pulled it away. Her eyes darted to the side, thinking. How do you deal with something like this?

"Tears don't suit you , Liz ."

" . . . So *please* stop crying ."

" - What I'm trying to do is apologize , because I may have gone . . . *slightly* extreme with my prank . Ακόμα κι αν το άξιζες κάπως..."

That last part she mumbled, yet it was clear she was somewhat concerned for Elizabeth. She had a faint hint of shame on her face, but no sign of absolute regret.

Her downward tilted head changed its position to glance upwards at the goddess in front of her. Elizabeth’s ever so slightly audible sobs began during into what seemed to be pained laughter.

Within seconds, the pained laughter turned into chuckling. 

“APRIL FOOOOOOLS!!~”

She stood up, finding herself the funniest person on earth.

“That was a good prank, S. Like REALLY good. Like I fucking fell for that for a second kinda good. dontdoitagain. But that was GOOD.”

Elizabeth nodded as if in approval (bitch what jurisdiction do you have to decide if pranks are good).

“Is this you asking me to be your fool this April?”

She dramatically gasped before pretending to swoon and faint into S’s arms, her head hitting the floor as she realized she missed.

"Yes , but I didn't truly use them to cut off my hair . I simply asked my author if she could make it short for today ."

She said in a calm and concise manner. S then hastened to where the scissors were and speedily stored them away before anything further was spoken about them.

She just looked worried, not angry just, concerned.

S seemed... disconnected from the world around her. A corpse... A host? No. It'd be impossible, unless...

She simply stared at Crow, her stoic, lifeless eyes and face making the atmosphere tenser. Now, a look like that... It strikes a fearing similarity to a certain time last year.

Additionally, Crow noticed that her mother figure was holding a pair of scissors with strands of light blue hair glowing with the moonlight on it. I wonder what she forgot about this time.

S didn't move an inch, waiting. Waiting to see what Crow would do next.

She mumbled, slowly approaching, she didn’t seem scared or anything, just concerned.

In the back of her mind though, she didn’t want to go through all that shit again…not again…

S slowly walked closer until she found herself calmly circling around Crow. She seemed to be reminding Crow that at any moment, she could strike. Do anything. But she didn't.

She stopped behind Crow, placing one hand firmly on her shoulder. She then leaned in, and whispered.

"April Fools ."

She had her morals. Her limits. And she wouldn't go that far just to scare the little fledgling. She didn't deserve it, anyway.

She let go of Crow's shoulder and lightly patted her head.

"It's alright , Crow . I'm here . It was just a silly little test of reaction ."

She explained, her reassuring tone soothing and washing away all of Crow's worries. She was hoping that it would lessen her reaction, but nevertheless she still prepared herself for whatever reaction there was to come.

S could feel a presence behind her, a presence she knew well.

“S…. What the fuck. What did you do, S?”

Her voice was angry, but her face unwillingly showed slight panic. You could tell she was clearly in the middle of an April fools prank by the Santa costume she wore with a reindeer nose, and you could tell she left in a panic by how messy her hair was and how jingled her bells seemed.

S slowly turned around, holding some strands of light blue hair in one hand. She didn't dare utter one word of response. Instead, she simply locked her gaze onto her, its dullness only adding onto the goddess's panic.

Was there even life behind those eyes?

Her face appeared extremely stoic, invoking a dreadful familiarity experienced just last November. Does 99% ring a bell?

In her other hand, she gripped onto a pair of scissors. Not just any ordinary ones. The pure, silver ones, engraved with patterns and the blue jem in the middle.

What did she do?

She just stood there, waiting expectantly to see what Elizabeth would do next.

“S. S! Answer me! This is- fuck… hello?? S? Do you remember me? Do you remember ANYTHING?”

Her voice gradually increased in volume. Things had just gotten better, how could it all go wrong so easily now?

She seemed like she wasn't listening to her desperation. Only after Elizabeth was done shouting was when she took action.

She suddenly shoved Elizabeth away from her, allowing herself free movement. In a blink of an eye, she was right behind her, putting her in a fierce chokehold, tightening with each second. With her other hand, she brought the razor sharp scissors up to the back of Elizabeth's neck, inches away from a bloody puncture.

She wasn't there anymore.

Her first instinct was to freeze, surprisingly. This wouldn’t have been the case for anyone else, but S was a very different story. But this wasn’t S, though, was it?

With all the strength she could muster, she tried to push off S’s hand. Unfortunately, Elizabeth wasn’t at her strongest in the moment, and it was a challenge for even the strongest of beings to escape the grasp of death.

“S. LET GO. LET GO OF ME, NOW!”

Elizabeth violently shook, both in an attempt of defense and a release of emotions.

“S… PLEASE.”

A single black droplet fell onto the white fur of Elizabeth’s costume, the ink seeming to melt into a stain; ironically, the stain seemed to be shaped like a heart.
