Dee La'mour with R&B Legend Billy Paul. To my surprise I received the news that Billy Paul passed away my prayers & condolences go out to all family, friends and all of his fans. Rest in peace my friend #billypaul (at Lansdowne, Pennsylvania)

Even though I have never meant this man. As I heard breaking news of his passing. I begin to feel feelings of loss. For me Prince represented that I could be myself and be successful at whatever I chose to do. As a Young Man growing up I often felt like I did not belong anywhere. Often being ostracized for looking different or androgynous and picked on, it seemed like by everyone at the time. Even when I went to church I was told that I couldn't participate or wasn't welcome at certain events because of what others thought of me. Seeing artists like Prince and Michael Jackson let me know that I could express myself and just be me. These days there are a lot of artists that represent each and every one of us and now that Prince is gone it's like losing a friend that I haven't seen in years. Gone, but not forgotten #Prince (at Lansdowne, Pennsylvania)
