When the past and present collide

Takano woke up and was shocked to come face to face with Saga, current Ritsu, and highschool Ritsu

“… Hi…”

Stirring as he heard a familiar voice rasp awake, he managed to open one eye. 

“Mornin’..” was all he managed to fumble in his groggy state. Rolling over, he began a set up to exit the bed, then he came face to face with ….himself?  Eyebrows knitting together, his head tilted.

“….What…..is this?”

Takano looks over to current Ritsu.

"Are we dreaming?" Takano asked.

Saga and Oda were sleeping on the other side of the bed with Sagas arms wrapped around Oda

When the past and present collide

Starter with @jadededitor Takano woke up and was shocked to come face to face with Saga, current Ritsu, and highschool Ritsu "... Hi..."

The light was shining bright through the curtains. The room laminated with the sun's rays and hitting the bed. Who's bed is it?

Ritsu shuffles to get comfortable, the light stirring him awake.

Ritsu eventually gave up and woke up.

Ritsu saw he was in his own bed, and sighed in relief. But he looked over and he saw Takano. He tenses up

He nodded a “no problem” and began eating himself. They sat in silence.

Ritsu felt himself get annoyed with the silence, but just continued eating. It was always silent between them.

“How is it?” He asked.

[tsundereukeeditor]

Ritsu looks up at Takano. “It’s good…”

[takanookay]

He nods, “…Thats good.” Silence again. Neither knew really how to start conversation.

Ritsu just continued eating until he was finished. Ritsu stands up to go put the plate in the sink.

While Ritsu was at the sink he didn’t realize Takano followed him.

Ritsu put his plate in the sink and then took a deep breath, and put his hands on the edge of the sink and looks into the sink in thought

Takano stood there behind him for a moment before wrapping his free arm around his chest and leaning on him a bit. “What you thinking about?”

Ritsu blushes hard and tenses up when he felt Takano.

“N-n-nothing…”

[takanookay]

Takano held him in his arms, “you seemed to be in deep thought though.” He countered.

Ritsus heart started beating fast. “M-maybe…”

[takanookay]

He reached around him to put his plate in the sink before grabbing onto Ritsu’s shoulder and making the brunette turn to look at him. Takano’s brown eyes were unusual dark orbs as he stared into Onodera’s eyes, “Ritsu…”

Ritsu yelps when Takano made him too into Takanos dark orbs. Ritsu blushes and looks away. “Wh-what?”

He stared at him for a moment before slowly blinking his eyes and walking away from the stunned brunette, “Its nothing. I thought I seen something on your face while we were eating. Guess I was wrong.” He made a excuse.

“…” Ritsu was shocked that Takano didn’t do anything. Ritsu blinks and follows Takano

Takano seemed out of it. What was he thinking about now? He wandered to his belongings, “I’m heading back.” What? , “Thank you for having dinner with me” He’s leaving?

“I…” Ritsu reaches out towards Takano, then decided against it, and clenches his fist and looks to the side, not facing Takano.

“You can keep the beer.” He noted, “Goodnight.” He put his hand on the doorknob and turned it.

Ritsu bites his lip and, before he knew what he was doing, grabs Takanos shirt, blushes deeply and looks to the floor

Takano stops when he felt the tugging of his shirt, turning his gaze on the man behind him. He stared a bit surprised at the motion but his eyes softened after a moment, “What are you doing?” He asked.

Ritsu blushes harder and let go of Takanos shirt, feeling extremely embarrassed.

“I-I…” Ritsu was bright red and looks to the side.

Takano stared at him in silence for a explanation. His staring was burning into Ritsu making him even more embarrassed.

Ritsu felt his cheeks burn from embarrassment and he looks to the floor.

“… Stay.” Ritsu whispers before walking away from embarrassment

[takanookay]

Masamune stood at the doorway for a moment then let go of the door knob in response. He slowly followed behind Ritsu, “Why would you ask me to stay, I wonder…”

Ritsu blushes harder and covers his face. “I-I don’t know…”

[takanookay]

“Are you seducing me?”

[tsundereukeeditor]

Ritsu blushes darker. “NO IM NOT!” Ritsu yells

[takanookay]

Takano stared at him, “Is that so?” He cooed as if he didn’t believe him, “I’m only teasing. You’re worried about me, I can see that so I felt I needed to make you not worry and think of something else.” He slanted his eyes, wandering off to the kitchen, “Do you want to get drunk with me?” He asked grabbing hold of the beer cans.

Ritsu looks at Takano when he said he said that Ritsu was just worried about him. Ritsu, confused, followed Takano.

“I-I’m not worried about you…” Ritsu says, looking into Takanos eyes.

“I mean… I forgot what happened until now…” Ritsu says, as he finally looks away

Takano shrugged, “Guess that means you were seducing me after all.” He opened the beer can in his hand.

Ritsu glares. “No I wasn’t.” Ritsu says as he crossed his arms, honestly looking adorable while being angry.

Ritsu glanced at the beer can and looks away

[takanookay]

He grabbed the other beers and took them to the small table and sat down. He sipped at the beer, slanting his eyes. “Come sit with me.”

Ritsu looks at Takano, like he was thinking if it was a good idea, seeming at war with himself before walking over and sitting across from him.

Drinks his beer for a moment of silence before speaking up, “Can I ask you something, Onodera?”

Ritsu was slightly lost in thought before Takano asked the question. Ritsu looks at him. “Yeah. What’s the question?”

[takanookay]

He paused for a moment, “What’s your relationship with your mother? Do you love her?”

[tsundereukeeditor]

Ritsu was shocked and looks at Takano. “Yeah I love my mom… She’s a bit overbearing at times, but I love her.”

[takanookay]

“When I was young, I used to think you were under a good household. Like you were spoiled. I mean you didn’t even know how to order fast food.” He slanted his eyes thinking about it.

Ritsu flushes from embarrassment and looks away. “I-it’s not my fault…”

[takanookay]

“Don’t get defensive about it now. I used to envy that thought.” He retorted, “The thought of you under a good household pissed me off back then.” He sipped his beer can, “I didn’t have that sort of thing at my place.” He sighed, “But that’s just how it is I suppose.”

Ritsu opened his mouth to apologize before he realized that won’t fix anything, so he closed his mouth again.

“Give me one of those.” Ritsu eventually says before going into the bag and grabbing a beer

Takano watches him take a can and continues to drink his own beer, chugging it down. Honestly he was tired. He didn’t want to chat about things like that, but whenever he opened his mouth they sort of slipped out. It was annoying so he just stayed quiet.

Ritsu opens it, and drinks, trying to think of a conversation,

“How long do you want me to stay?” He asked a question not really like himself.

Ritsu looks at Takano in shock. “U-um… I don’t know…” Ritsu says as he kept drinking

Takano slanted his eyes, his lips against the can of beer, “If you don’t tell me a time, I’ll stay all night.”

[tsundereukeeditor]

Ritsu blushes and took another drink, feeling the alcohol already in his system. He was never a good drunk. “… You never asked me before, so why now?..” Ritsu started to drunkily confess, looking off to the side. Then, the sober Ritsu came back and he blushes darker and stands up, wanting to escape his embarassment

[takanookay]

He looks up at the embarrassed Ritsu and circles his wrist with the beer can, “I always stay without you promptly stating I can. So, I wanted to hear you say it. Say I can stay the night or stay till late. Or go back to my own apartment. I was trying to go home just now and you told me to stay, so it shouldn’t be a problem to tell me how long you want me to.” Stares up at him.

Ritsu blushes darker and found the floor very interesting all of a sudden. “… I-I…” Ritsu began. He looks uncomfortable, before shaking his head, annoyed with himself. His pride won’t allow himself to say what he truly wanted. For Takano to stay the night. “… J-just do what you want.” Ritsu says before going to take a drink, but then stops abruptly, feeling like it would be a bad idea to keep drinking all of a sudden.

Takano stared over at him. For a moment it was silent. “I want you to kiss me.” He sounded like a kid being able to ask what he wanted now that Ritsu said ‘do what you want’.

Ritsu flushed red immediately. “N-not gonna happen… Ever…” Ritsu Denys as he kept drinking. Before long, he finished the beer can. Glad to have an excuse to escape this situation, he walked towards the garbage can

Takano had gotten up and followed him, with his own empty can in hand. When he got the chance, he surprised Ritsu with a locking of their lips together while they stood by the trash.

Ritsu put his can in the garbage, turns his head, and their lips connected. Ritsu flinched from surprise, and flushed red when he realized what was happening. Ritsu didn’t pull away, finding himself already melting into the kiss. Ritsus hand uncounsiously went into the air to push Takano away, but his hands stopped.

Takano kept the kiss locked for a long moment. Their lips made a sucking noise when he pulled away, his eyes opened slightly as he stared at Ritsu, their faces close and threatening to lock their lips again.

Ritsus mind was blank during the kiss. So when they pulled away, Ritsu realized what just happened and blushes hard, and turns away

“You didn’t pull away, you know” he pointed out, “Guess I am making progress.”

“I… Just… Um… Shut up.” Ritsu says, stuttering like an idiot

[takanookay]

He suddenly snickered at that, “Just thinking out loud.” He grabbed his hand and pulled him off suddenly towards the bedroom. “Let’s continue in here, hm?”

Ritsu blushes deeply and tries to pull his hand away. “Wh-why?” Ritsu asked, feeling very insecure about it, looking to the side, letting his hair fall over his eyes.

[takanookay]

“Why not?” Takano countered without really caring for an answer. He led him to the bedroom and closed the door behind him.

Ritsu blushes deep and looks at the ground. “B-because..” Ritsu says

“Its fine. I wont do anything if you don’t want to. Just can you lay down with me for a long while, at least.” He got on the bed and looked at him with a bit of a look. Takano wondered if he will be able to get past his embarrassment and just lay with him.

Ritsu turned bright red for some reason, and his heart started beating fast.

Ritsu hesitated before slowly walking over.

Takano kept his eyes on him as he sits on the bed’s side hesitantly.

Ritsu sits on the bedside, and glanced at you

Takano lays down to indicate Ritsu do the same.

Ritsu felt his heart about to beat out of his chest as he, too, laid down. Ritsu didn’t believe that was all they were going to do.

Ritsu looks at you, and felt himself wanting to go closer. Right now, Ritsu is furthest from Takano as he can be.

[takanookay]

Takano stared right at Ritsu, “Why are you so far away. Do you want me to attack you? Get closer already.” Takano complained.

Ritsu blushes and slowly comes closer, his heart beating faster. Ritsu stops a little before he was touching Takano because he felt like his heart was going to beat out of his chest.

[takanookay]

Takano sighed and scooted the rest of the way and wrapped his arms around him body. He held Ritsu in his chest now.

Ritsu blushes deeply, and his heart was beating wildly.

Once Ritsu calms down, he lays on Takanos chest, his head right by Takanos heart. Ritsu heard Takanos heart beat fast too.

That reassured Ritsu

He gently petted Ritsu’s hair and slanted his golden brown gaze down at him. He felt himself smile a bit.

Takano couldn’t see Ritsus face, but Ritsu was smiling too.

Ritsu closes his eyes when he felt Takanos hand through his hair.

Ritsu put one arm on Takanos chest

Takano closed his eyes and softly let out a breath, his chest lightly rising and falling in gentle motions. The silence added onto the atmosphere.

*We don’t do this much. This lover’s thing.

*It’s nice…

“I love you Ritsu.” The words just sort of left from his lips without another thought about it..

Ritsu blushes deeply.

“U-um… Hmmm?” Ritsu stutters out, dumbly.

Ritsus heart started beating madly, and tenses up slightly.

He figured that would be his response. “I said I love you, Ritsu.”

Ritsu got more flustered and had an overwhelming sensation to wanting to hide from embarassment. He took his arm off from Takanos chest, and then he stops.

*Isnt this what I need? Reassurance? – no no no

Takano wrapped his arm around him and gently held him in place. “Its fine. I get it.” He admits, “You don’t have to say it back.” He reassures as he closes his eyes and gently pets his hair again.

Ritsus emotions were on overdrive. Ritsu places his head on Takanos chest.

*Maybe…. Just maybe I feel the same way….

Ritsu blushes bright red, and fisted up some of Takanos shirt. Ritsus heart felt like it was going to beat out of his chest.

He wondered what Ritsu was thinking now. He felt Ritsu’s hand fist at his shirt and depicted him having a battle with his emotions or something. His lips parted slightly deep in thought now.

Ritsu felt like he could just cry.

*I think I do feel the same… But am I willing to risk heartbreak?

Ritsu realized he fisted Takanos shirt, and let go, and attempted to flatten the shirt again.

*…. Haven’t I waited long enough?…. Takano isn’t just trying to play with me. He is… Serious…

Ritsu glances at you

Takano felt Ritsu flatten his shirt but didn’t show know signs of knowing it. After a long silence, Takano opened one eye at the feeling of Ritsu’s glance. Emerald eyes met golden brown ones.

Ritsu blushes when their eyes met.

*Yes… I think I’m willing to risk it… I mean- we both have been hurt very much due to the misunderstanding, and I think we both don’t want another one to happen

“Takano-San…” Ritsu says

He opened his other eye, “Yes, Onodera?” He seemed to be relaxed in the position he was in.

Ritsu felt his cheeks burn from heat.

*Now or never…

Ritsu squeezes his eyes shut. “I…”

Takano stared at him with that look as if wondering what he was going to say now.

“… I… Um… Like…” Ritsu stutters before he took a break.

Ritsu let himself calm down before digging his face in your shoulder. “…. I love you…”

Takano eyes blinked wide at that and his heart beat quickened, “…” Has he fell asleep or was Ritsu drunk? Or maybe this is real. “…Are you sure?” His voice showed his surprise.

Ritsu fell silent, his heart also beating quickening, his pride not letting him show Takano his face.

“Mmhm…” Ritsu eventually says, feeling a rush of emotions. Ritsus shoulders started shaking

He did not dare tease him. He knew that took fucking a lot for Ritsu to say those three words again. He knew that Ritsu was probably scared out of his mind now.

He gripped onto him and pulled him closer, into a tight hug to try and protect Ritsu from his emotions, “I…I love you too Ritsu….” He felt himself start to shake as his emotions got the best of him. He felt tears welled up in his eyes and his lip closed tight as if trying not to cry.

It was like something went off in him, and Ritsu started crying on Takanos shoulder, and hugs back tightly.

He did that crying whimper when he couldn’t hold it in as he heard Ritsu crying now. His lips quiver into a pitiful smile and he just starts bawling.

Ritsu cries harder until he, too, is bawling.

Ritsu calms down after a little while and wipes his tears off

He sniffles, taking a deep heave of breath to try and calm himself down, “I don’t think I have ever cried from happiness. I’m just so happy” he wiped his own tears away, “I am so thankful you love me, Ritsu…I’m so thankful you l-love me…” He repeated and held him and threatened to cry some more the way his voice shook.

Ritsu hugs Takano tightly, and finally looks at you. Ritsus lips were quivering, about to cry again.

He reached up and wiped his cheek with his thumb, looking at the tear filled emerald eyes and leaning in and kissing his lips, their lips stilled as he held it locked in place.

Ritsu closes his eyes, the tears in his eyes flowing down his cheek, and kisses back.

Takano kissed him with a more loving kiss than usual. It was sweet.

It was the morning after one of their many “nights before”, and Ritsu had been awake for the best part of an hour. He had been sat in Takano’s bed, when his stomach grumbled to life like a damn fog horn. Careful not to wake his boss, he climbed out of the bed and shuffled into the kitchen; he hadn’t bothered with his clothes, opting for one of Takano’s shirts seemed sufficient enough.

Taking full advantage of the nicely sized kitchen, and full refrigerator, the brunet set out to cook up himself and Takano a delicious breakfast.

Takano stirred awake when he smells the food. His half-awake nose started sniffing, waking up.

*Thats wierd… Why do I smell food? The only option would be…*

Takano went out of the bed and put on his own pants, his shirt out of sight out of mind until he stumbled upon the sight in the kitchen.

*Ritsu..* He thought to himself as he sees the love of his life cooking both of them dinner… In his own shirts.

Takano walks over and hugs Ritsus waist.

“Morning…” He whispers in Ritsus ear

Humming along with the radio, Ritsu happily patted around the kitchen - eggs, bacon, sausage and mushrooms all placed neatly upon two plates. About to pour them a coffee each, he tensed as arms found their way around his waist. A faint blush dusted his cheeks. 

“Ah, good morning Takano-san. I was making breakfast….to eat in bed…” Looking up at the other, he gave a small smile.

Takano felt his heart beat fast at Ritsus adorable smile.

Takano couldn’t help but kiss his lips. “I love you, Ritsu…” Takano says.

*He looks so cute… I want to wake up to it always…*

“Takano-san…..” His voice a hush whisper as thoughts flooded him. Why had he just come out with that? So randomly too? It’s not like Takano doesn’t express his fondness enough but - it seemed so genuine. The editor was a little taken aback, and not to mention sporting a scarlet mask of embarrassment. 

“I …. I ….. You too.” Was all he managed to fumble out before turning his attention back to the plates; pushing one toward Takano, he headed for the kotatsu.

A few hours passed by and Ritsu eventually woke up. The first thing he saw was the blue screen on the TV, meaning the movie was already over, then he finally noticed he had fallen asleep, and, at last, he felt Takano was still sleeping by him. Onodera thought on waking him up, but didn’t because he was aware his boss needed to sleep, they just finished hell week and the man sure was tired.

Takano woke up a few minutes later and yawns. He stretched slightly, and realized that Ritsu was right next to him.

“Hey, Ritsu..” He said, still waking up.

Takano saw the movie was over.

“Guess we slept through the movie, huh?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu

Ritsu looked away and blushed, “w-well, we’ve not slept properly for the past week, no wonder did!”

It wasn’t the first time they woke up together, yet it had something different to it.

“True…” Takano said, yawning and getting up.

“What do you want to do now?” Takano asked Ritsu

“N-Nothing specially,” Onodera shrugged.

Ritsu had no idea of what kind of things Takano liked to do. Specially since they stopped doing that sort of stuff together since high school. He would like to do anything if that meant learning about the taller man, but it was somehow hard to put that into words.

Takano looked at Ritsu.

“Hmm…” Takano said as he thinks about what to do.

Takano didn’t know a lot about Ritsu as well. He really wants to know more about his could-be lover.

“How about we play a game?”

“A g-game?” He raised an eyebrow. “We’re adults, Takano-san!”

Incredible. Ritsu was truly worring about what to do while Takano was taking it so lightly? Though he might give it a try.

“What is it about?” Onodera asked in a low voice, looking at the other side.

“I really think one of the main problem between us is that we don’t know each other.” Takano said, looking at Ritsu carefully.

“Have you 20 questions?”

“O-Oh, that kind of game”

Ritsu turned his gaze back at Takano. He really had never played that game before but it was worth give it a try.

“I guess we could do that.”

“Ok.” Takano said, smiling slightky.

“Do you want to start or me?” Takano asked

“Y-You?”

Ritsu moved to have a more comfortable posture, (awkwardly) facing Takano, though of course that at the moment the latter looked at him, he averted his gaze to the floor.

“Ok… So basically I ask a question, and then you answer the question, and ask a question back… Ok?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu.

“Ok, so… I guess I’ll start with the basics… What’s your favorite color?”

“Right, um, I’ve never thought about this.” He stayed silent for a second. “I guess I’ll go with green.”

“What’s your favorite… Um, drink?” He couldn’t fight the smile back. He had wanted to do this properly since so much time ago.

Takanos gaze softened when he saw Ritsu smiling.

“My favorite drink is wine.” Takano said, slowly going to sit next to Ritsu.

“What’s your favorite food?”

“I really like dorayaki!” Onodera scratched the back of his head. “Um, what is…” He thought for a second. “Your favorite type of weather?” His eyes sparkled.

Takano found himself in awe of Onoderas sparkle in his eyes.

“I personally like the snow… It reminds me of celebrating my birthday with you.” Takano said, slowly holding Ritsus hand.

“If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?”

Ritsu blushed with Takano’s touch, but he didn’t pull away.

“Read people’s minds… I guess.”

Though that’d seriously drive him crazy.

“Maybe just… Ugh, invisibility?” He quietly chuckled.

That suited him better.

“And you?” He smiled.

“Hmm…” Takano thought of it for a few moments.

“Maybe read minds?” Takano says, shrugging.

“What’s your favorite weather?”

Ritsu frown at the though of Takano willingly invading his thoughts. Though it would have helped them a few years ago, right?

“I think I could particularly like rainy days, but not exactly when I’m outside without an umbrella.” He remembered the time when they met thanks to a similar situation and blushed. “Any non-work related hobbies?” He was specially curious about this one.

Takano thought about it. “Well… I like to read, smoke, … Hang out with you….” Takano said, squeezing Ritsus hand.

“What about you?”

“I-I enjoy reading, and I usually am always working so I s-sort of like that too.”

And of course, spending time with Takano was included in the ‘always working’ part, though he wouldn’t say it.

“A-Ah,” he tried to change the subject. “What would you do if you w-weren’t working on shoujo manga, Takano-san?”

“Like as a job?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu

“Yeah, that…” He shyly looked at him. “That, or anything, really.”

“Well… Hanging out with you, definetly….” Takano says.

“Hmmm….. If I wasn’t in shojo manga… Well, last time I was in shounen manga.” Takano says.

“… What did you do during our ten years apart?” Takano asked

“Yeah, I thought so,” Ritsu felt down.

To think that Takano could one day go away from him drove him crazy, because Onodera was sure his anxiety wouldn’t let him do a thing if that were to happen.

“I…” He took a breath. “I went to study abroad and came back to work at my family’s company right after graduation.” Ritsu averted his gaze. “What about you?”

Takano saw that Ritsu looks uneasy and he mentally facepalmed himself. *Im an idiot…*

“Well, I moved in with my mom after my parents divorced. Then I went to college with Yokozawa, but I eventually dropped out. Then I worked at Shuudansa as a shounen editor, but quit due to drama. And then Yokozawa helped me get into Marukawa.” Takano said, looking at Ritsu.

“What is your favorite thing about literature?”

“I-I really just like how books can take you to different places with just words.” He smiled shyly. “Besides, when you create a book, it’s not only what’s written on it, but the whole thing.” Ritsu gestured with his hands. “The cover, type of paper, actually every material that builds the book.” He paused so he wouldn’t get too excited. “I think it’s because I’ve always been surrounded by books, it’s become natural for me, I guess?”

“But… Well, my turn.” He looked back at Takano. “H-How do you manage to get everything in order?” Onodera blushed. “It’s not that I don’t understand how it works, alright? It’s just… I-I somehow always mess things up and-” he choked on his words and just kept quiet as he waited for an answer.

“You don’t mess up as often as you might think…” Takano said, running his fingers through Ritsus hair.

“And I don’t really know… I took a guess on how it should run, and I guess I was right.” Takano looked at Ritsu, smiling slightly.

“What cheers you up?”

Of course he couldn’t say that, it was completely out of the question.

“U-Um…” He slowly pulled his hand from Takano’s.

Ritsu thought of it, but didn’t find anything else; for the past months, the only thing that could happen to cheer him wasn’t a thing but a person. But as ironical as it might seem, Takano himself was the only one who could pull him up and push him down at his will.

“E-Eh,” he flushed deeply. “H-How could I k-know that sort of thing!”

Takano leaned in closer.

“How do you not know what cheers you up, Ritsu?”

“W-Why should I pay attention to small things like those?!” He lowered his head. “It’s me after all,” Ritsu whispered.

He’d rather know what cheered Takano instead.

Takano pulls Ritsu close, before wrapping his arms around Ritsu

“Ta-Takano-san! Why so sudden?” He asked blushing even deeper and trying to gain balance from his boss’s pulling, but feeling comfortable after the taller man wrapped him. Ritsu looked at him and thought that he really didn’t want to leave Masamune’s side.

Masamune smiles at Ritsu and hugs Ritsu, knowing damn well that he never wanted to leave Ritsus side. “Why? Is it just that you don’t want to tell me what cheers you up?” Masamune teases Ritsu

Well, maybe.

“Anyways, it’s getting late, don’t you have things to do, Takano-san??” Ritsu was blushing deeply and trying get Takano’s hands off him.

It was like a pattern to follow, pushing him away, not that he wanted to do it (not right now) but Onodera felt as if it was something he had to do.

Takano just hugs him tighter. “Yes, yes I do. And that is for you to stay by my side.”

Ritsu blushed and hid his face in Takano’s chest. For once, it would be nice to be honest with himself and show Masamune his feelings as well. Onodera shyly wrapped his arms around the man in front of him.

Takano was slightly shocked when Onodera hugged back, but none the less, extremely happy. Takano kisses Ritsus head. “So, please… Never leave.”

“I don’t plan to,” he whispered against the other’s chest and squeezed him a little.

His heart was beating like crazy and he felt as if he could die at any moment, but somehow it felt different than before, he was glad they were together.

Takano gently hugs Ritsu.

“I love you, Ritsu. So, so much.”

Ritsu stood there silently, letting the man hug him; though in his mind, he was still fighting with himself whether to confess or stay silent.

His mind was so noisy that anyone could almost hear it when the outside was this silent. He didn’t want to make things awkward again, but Onodera really didn’t know what to do.

Unconsciously, he gave a little squeeze through their hug.

Takano hugs Onodera tighter.

“I will wait how long it takes for you to confess to me. I will wait that that wrong, and stay by your side for the rest of our lives.”

“Takano-san…” He buried his face deeper. “I-I am scared”. Ritsu continued with a small voice.

“Of what?” Takano asked gently

“I-I guess I’m just scared that everything will repeat all over,” Ritsu said still not facing Takano.

“I mean, we are not the best at communication, and even though it’s important, I can’t seem to pull myself together,” he sighed and pulled away to look at him. “I don’t want to mess up everything again.”

“… I’m scared too, Ritsu.” Takano admits.

Takano kisses Ritsus forehead.

“We may not be the best at communication, but we can work on that with time. Ritsu, I’m scared of death of never seeing you again. We both know how much it hurts to be away from each other, and, if you feel the same as me, we both will try our hardest to not be hurt again. I am willing to risk trying again. I love you too much to let you pass by, no matter how much you may have hurt me in the past. Yes, communication is a big reason we broke up, and we must work on that. We should work on communication before going onto the next step… I am willing to wait however long it takes.” Takano says

Onodera looked down and hesitated on keep talking for some time, but at the end he slowly started again.

“Besides,” he took a deep breath. “I don’t know what to expect, I don’t want to get attached to you, I hate the idea of having to part, but what if anything happens?” He shivered and continued with a small voice. “I always over think.”

Takano ran his hands through Onoderas hair.

“I’m scared of parting from you…. I know I shouldn’t get attached with you, but I cannot help it…. I love you too much. I don’t want to go into it if your not ready…. That’s like setting up for failure… So ill wait for you.” Takano says

“Th-Thank you, Takano-san,” he averted his gaze and stood, wondering what should he do next.

Takano softly kisses Onoderas lips as he hugs Onodera close.

Ritsu follows, closing his eyes and hugging him back, still hesitating, but following Takano anyways.

“Thank you for understanding,” he answers short on breath and looking into his eyes.

Takano looks into Ritsus eyes too and smiles lightly.

Takano put his hand on Ritsus cheek.

He blushes at the contact and averts his gaze once again. Onodera could feel his whole face burning hot, he felt embarrassed but it wasn’t like before, somehow.

Takano put his head on Onoferas shoulder, and hugs Onodera tighter.

“Spend the night…”

Ritsu lain in the couch and pulled Takano with him.

“A-Alright,” he caressed the man’s hair.

It felt as if every problem could vanish just by having Takano holding him or wrapping his arms around him.

He couldn’t remember the last time he felt this good, he was nervous, but it felt alright.

Onodera cupped Takano’s face with his hands and kissed him again, he could fear the tears coming.

Ritsu closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around Takano’s neck after his shirt was out.

Onodera’s body shivers and he bites his lip. He liked it. He really liked Masamune.

Onodera moans quietly and gasps for air, he can feel his face reddening as the other man looks up at him.

“Wa-Wait, Takano-san!” Ritsu tried to pull away slightly.

“N-Not just me!” He blushed and tried to stop Takano’s hands.

“Hm?” Takano asked, looking up at Ritsu.

Takano was curious about what Ritsu wanted to do, and let Ritsu do as he wanted.

Ritsu placed his hands on Masamune’s chest and traced the neck of his shirt with a finger.

“I-I…” He blushed again and hid his face in Takano’s shoulder.

Takano smiles and removes his own shirt for Ritsu.

Takano kisses Ritsus head.

He felt very patient since they improved with their communication

Onodera could feel his heart beating incredibly fast and his fingers trembling, and it’s been a long time since he felt he could properly smile at Takano, but right after the man’s last kiss on the top of his head, Ritsu’s smile showed up naturally, his eyes watered a bit and he didn’t feel like stopping anytime.

Takano smiles bigger seeing Ritsu smile.

His heart started beating faster.

“I love seeing you smile…” Takano says, kissing lower again

Ritsu covered his face and mumbled something in a low voice.

He wondered if Takano heard.

“What did you say, Ritsu?” Takabo asked gently

“I love you,” he said in a slightly higher voice, still covering his face and feeling how his heart was about to explode.

Takano widens his eyes in shock and looks at Ritsu.

“I love you… Too…” Takano says, his heart beating faster.

Takano hugs Ritsu close and he felt himself tearing up

Ritsu cupped Takano’s face with his hands and pulled him into a soft kiss, he himself was crying already too.

Before, he had no idea of what to expect after he confessed, after all, Takano knew that Ritsu loved him already. Maybe he’d laugh at him and say something stupid, but no, instead, he was in front, almost crying.

“I-I’m sorry,” he sniffed. “It took me way too long.”

“It’s ok Ritsu… I’m happy you said it. Like very happy. I love you. I love you so much it hurts. Please be mine.”

He couldn’t help the tears falling down, Ritsu had been waiting for this moment for ages and now that it was already here, the only thing he could do was cry on Takano’s shoulder.

Even though he was the only one who, apparently, didn’t want to make a move on their relationship, he still hoped for it to go in that direction. Onodera felt something warm in his chest with the other man’s reaction. It was the first time Masamune had that kind of expression in his face and it was really obvious that he was happy, which made Ritsu really happy as well.

Masamune saw Ritsu cry and just embraced him tighter.

He was so happy he couldn’t stand it rn.

Masamune couldn’t help the tears fall down from his own eyes either.

Finally.

Finally Ritsu confessed, after all this time.

Finally he can call Ritsu his.

Masamune thought the first thing he would want to do is make love with Ritsu, but all he wanted was to hold Ritsu in his arms at this point.

Masamune held him in a way that it was like the both of them were fragile, and will break in chards any second. Masamune also held him more possessive than ever before.

Now that Ritsu is here- he isn’t gonna leave no matter what.

Now that everything happened, he wasn’t sure what followed. He still wondered what they were supposed to be doing after Onodera confessed. He worried. Though Ritsu loved Masamune’s smile, so he would keep it to himself, he guessed.

Masamune kisses Ritsu deeper than before.

“How would you feel about moving in with me?…” Masamune asked in between the kiss.

Masamune felt he couldn’t get close enough to Ritsu

“I… I…” He stuttered and felt his face the reddest it could be. “Isn’t it too fast? I-Is it really okay?”

Of course he would like to, since a while ago he would think about how it could be, and he knew it wasn’t “too fast” after ten years, but just the idea of everyday with Takano got him nervous.

Masamune looks at Ritsu. “Is it too fast for you?”

Masamune was slightly disappointed. He wanted to be sure that he won’t ever leave Ritsus side, and vise versa.

This wasn’t a flat out no though, so that is good.

“Because for me.. I’ve waited long enough. I am willing to wait until your ready though.”

“Me too,” he whispered and closed his eyes. Ritsu felt tired from the sudden confession , but he felt happy and glad it happened.

Takano smiles and slowly stands up reluctantly and offers his hand to Ritsu.

“Shall we go, my love?” Takano asked like he was a prince and Ritsu was the princess.

Takano loved Ritsu too much for words. Takano is extremely happy and relieved for this sequence of events.

Ritsu blushed and rolled his eyes while giving Takano his hand and following him.

He was sure Ritsu knew the man’s apartment by heart, but it sure made his heart skip a beat being led by Masamune.

“Wh- Wait! What’s going on??” He covered his face with both hands so Takano would tease him for blushing.

“I’m changing into pajamas. Nothing to get flustered about.” Takano says as he walks over and kisses Ritsus lips

Ritsu’s heart started beating faster and he felt really dumb now, after all this, why did he imagine anything else?

Onodera shyly kissed back and wondered if it was alright for him to sleep in the clothes he was on.

Takano felt the edge of his lips curl up in a small smile when Ritsu kissed back.

Takano gently picked up Ritsu and then carried him to the bed, never breaking the kiss.

Takano snuggles Ritsu once they were on the bed, and embraced his lover tightly

Onodera is laying on his back while Takano is resting on top of him, his head on Ritsu’s chest, while he caresses Masamune’s hair.

He always wanted to do that, now it seems he can and he wouldn’t keep himself from doing so.

Onodera was always the one sleeping first, he wanted to at least let the other one rest first.

Onodera’s cheeks burned red and he turned his face so Takano wouldn’t see.

“I- I am not!!” He exclaimed and pushed Takano back as he turned to rest on his side, facing the opposite side from Takano. “N-Now, sleep!” His heartbeat going faster as he felt more nervous.

Takano laughs softly and turns to face Ritsu. Takano brought Ritsu closer and embraced Ritsus back so he is spooning Ritsu.

Onodera blushes at the feeling of Takano’s body against his and whispers a stuttered ‘good night’ back at him, it takes him a while, but he falls asleep in Takano’s arms.

It’s been a while since the last time it happened just like this. Years.

The next morning, Ritsu woke up before Takano, which was something unusual. Onodera had forgotten that they stayed together for the night so he was pretty shocked when turning around and meeting his face in front.

He though of how rare of an opportunity it was and looked at his face. He was used to not facing his on a daily basis, so he wouldn’t notice little details. Now was the time.

Takano looked peaceful in his sleep,

Takano was having a wonderful, dreamless night, and having one of the best night of sleep in a long time, and that was evident in his features.

Takano usually didn’t look this calm, so Ritsu thought of how nice he looked like this. Deep down he hoped more mornings like this would come their way and he gave a light smile as he imagined.

“Morning, my love.” Takano says with a husky voice since he just woke up.

Ritsu thought it was probably time to get up, even if he didn’t want to, so after Takano released him from their hug, he pulled back and prepared to leave the bed.

A few hours passed by and Ritsu eventually woke up. The first thing he saw was the blue screen on the TV, meaning the movie was already over, then he finally noticed he had fallen asleep, and, at last, he felt Takano was still sleeping by him. Onodera thought on waking him up, but didn’t because he was aware his boss needed to sleep, they just finished hell week and the man sure was tired.

Takano woke up a few minutes later and yawns. He stretched slightly, and realized that Ritsu was right next to him.

“Hey, Ritsu..” He said, still waking up.

Takano saw the movie was over.

“Guess we slept through the movie, huh?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu

Ritsu looked away and blushed, “w-well, we’ve not slept properly for the past week, no wonder did!”

It wasn’t the first time they woke up together, yet it had something different to it.

“True…” Takano said, yawning and getting up.

“What do you want to do now?” Takano asked Ritsu

“N-Nothing specially,” Onodera shrugged.

Ritsu had no idea of what kind of things Takano liked to do. Specially since they stopped doing that sort of stuff together since high school. He would like to do anything if that meant learning about the taller man, but it was somehow hard to put that into words.

Takano looked at Ritsu.

“Hmm…” Takano said as he thinks about what to do.

Takano didn’t know a lot about Ritsu as well. He really wants to know more about his could-be lover.

“How about we play a game?”

“A g-game?” He raised an eyebrow. “We’re adults, Takano-san!”

Incredible. Ritsu was truly worring about what to do while Takano was taking it so lightly? Though he might give it a try.

“What is it about?” Onodera asked in a low voice, looking at the other side.

“I really think one of the main problem between us is that we don’t know each other.” Takano said, looking at Ritsu carefully.

“Have you 20 questions?”

Ritsu turned his gaze back at Takano. He really had never played that game before but it was worth give it a try.

Ritsu moved to have a more comfortable posture, (awkwardly) facing Takano, though of course that at the moment the latter looked at him, he averted his gaze to the floor.

“Ok… So basically I ask a question, and then you answer the question, and ask a question back… Ok?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu.

“Ok, so… I guess I’ll start with the basics… What’s your favorite color?”

“Right, um, I’ve never thought about this.” He stayed silent for a second. “I guess I’ll go with green.”

“What’s your favorite… Um, drink?” He couldn’t fight the smile back. He had wanted to do this properly since so much time ago.

Takanos gaze softened when he saw Ritsu smiling.

“My favorite drink is wine.” Takano said, slowly going to sit next to Ritsu.

“What’s your favorite food?”

“I really like dorayaki!” Onodera scratched the back of his head. “Um, what is…” He thought for a second. “Your favorite type of weather?” His eyes sparkled.

Takano found himself in awe of Onoderas sparkle in his eyes.

“I personally like the snow… It reminds me of celebrating my birthday with you.” Takano said, slowly holding Ritsus hand.

“If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?”

Ritsu blushed with Takano’s touch, but he didn’t pull away.

“Read people’s minds… I guess.”

Though that’d seriously drive him crazy.

“Maybe just… Ugh, invisibility?” He quietly chuckled.

“And you?” He smiled.

“Hmm…” Takano thought of it for a few moments.

“Maybe read minds?” Takano says, shrugging.

“What’s your favorite weather?”

Ritsu frown at the though of Takano willingly invading his thoughts. Though it would have helped them a few years ago, right?

“I think I could particularly like rainy days, but not exactly when I’m outside without an umbrella.” He remembered the time when they met thanks to a similar situation and blushed. “Any non-work related hobbies?” He was specially curious about this one.

Takano thought about it. “Well… I like to read, smoke, … Hang out with you….” Takano said, squeezing Ritsus hand.

“What about you?”

“I-I enjoy reading, and I usually am always working so I s-sort of like that too.”

And of course, spending time with Takano was included in the ‘always working’ part, though he wouldn’t say it.

“A-Ah,” he tried to change the subject. “What would you do if you w-weren’t working on shoujo manga, Takano-san?”

“Like as a job?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu

“Yeah, that…” He shyly looked at him. “That, or anything, really.”

“Hmmm….. If I wasn’t in shojo manga… Well, last time I was in shounen manga.” Takano says.

“… What did you do during our ten years apart?” Takano asked

To think that Takano could one day go away from him drove him crazy, because Onodera was sure his anxiety wouldn’t let him do a thing if that were to happen.

“I…” He took a breath. “I went to study abroad and came back to work at my family’s company right after graduation.” Ritsu averted his gaze. “What about you?”

Takano saw that Ritsu looks uneasy and he mentally facepalmed himself. *Im an idiot…*

“Well, I moved in with my mom after my parents divorced. Then I went to college with Yokozawa, but I eventually dropped out. Then I worked at Shuudansa as a shounen editor, but quit due to drama. And then Yokozawa helped me get into Marukawa.” Takano said, looking at Ritsu.

“What is your favorite thing about literature?”

“I-I really just like how books can take you to different places with just words.” He smiled shyly. “Besides, when you create a book, it’s not only what’s written on it, but the whole thing.” Ritsu gestured with his hands. “The cover, type of paper, actually every material that builds the book.” He paused so he wouldn’t get too excited. “I think it’s because I’ve always been surrounded by books, it’s become natural for me, I guess?”

“But… Well, my turn.” He looked back at Takano. “H-How do you manage to get everything in order?” Onodera blushed. “It’s not that I don’t understand how it works, alright? It’s just… I-I somehow always mess things up and-” he choked on his words and just kept quiet as he waited for an answer.

“You don’t mess up as often as you might think…” Takano said, running his fingers through Ritsus hair.

“And I don’t really know… I took a guess on how it should run, and I guess I was right.” Takano looked at Ritsu, smiling slightly.

“U-Um…” He slowly pulled his hand from Takano’s.

Ritsu thought of it, but didn’t find anything else; for the past months, the only thing that could happen to cheer him wasn’t a thing but a person. But as ironical as it might seem, Takano himself was the only one who could pull him up and push him down at his will.

“E-Eh,” he flushed deeply. “H-How could I k-know that sort of thing!”

“How do you not know what cheers you up, Ritsu?”

“W-Why should I pay attention to small things like those?!” He lowered his head. “It’s me after all,” Ritsu whispered.

“Ta-Takano-san! Why so sudden?” He asked blushing even deeper and trying to gain balance from his boss’s pulling, but feeling comfortable after the taller man wrapped him. Ritsu looked at him and thought that he really didn’t want to leave Masamune’s side.

Masamune smiles at Ritsu and hugs Ritsu, knowing damn well that he never wanted to leave Ritsus side. “Why? Is it just that you don’t want to tell me what cheers you up?” Masamune teases Ritsu

“Anyways, it’s getting late, don’t you have things to do, Takano-san??” Ritsu was blushing deeply and trying get Takano’s hands off him.

It was like a pattern to follow, pushing him away, not that he wanted to do it (not right now) but Onodera felt as if it was something he had to do.

Ritsu blushed and hid his face in Takano’s chest. For once, it would be nice to be honest with himself and show Masamune his feelings as well. Onodera shyly wrapped his arms around the man in front of him.

Takano was slightly shocked when Onodera hugged back, but none the less, extremely happy. Takano kisses Ritsus head. “So, please… Never leave.”

“I don’t plan to,” he whispered against the other’s chest and squeezed him a little.

His heart was beating like crazy and he felt as if he could die at any moment, but somehow it felt different than before, he was glad they were together.

Ritsu stood there silently, letting the man hug him; though in his mind, he was still fighting with himself whether to confess or stay silent.

His mind was so noisy that anyone could almost hear it when the outside was this silent. He didn’t want to make things awkward again, but Onodera really didn’t know what to do.

Unconsciously, he gave a little squeeze through their hug.

“I will wait how long it takes for you to confess to me. I will wait that that wrong, and stay by your side for the rest of our lives.”

“Takano-san…” He buried his face deeper. “I-I am scared”. Ritsu continued with a small voice.

“Of what?” Takano asked gently

“I-I guess I’m just scared that everything will repeat all over,” Ritsu said still not facing Takano.

“I mean, we are not the best at communication, and even though it’s important, I can’t seem to pull myself together,” he sighed and pulled away to look at him. “I don’t want to mess up everything again.”

“… I’m scared too, Ritsu.” Takano admits.

Takano kisses Ritsus forehead.

“We may not be the best at communication, but we can work on that with time. Ritsu, I’m scared of death of never seeing you again. We both know how much it hurts to be away from each other, and, if you feel the same as me, we both will try our hardest to not be hurt again. I am willing to risk trying again. I love you too much to let you pass by, no matter how much you may have hurt me in the past. Yes, communication is a big reason we broke up, and we must work on that. We should work on communication before going onto the next step… I am willing to wait however long it takes.” Takano says

Onodera looked down and hesitated on keep talking for some time, but at the end he slowly started again.

“Besides,” he took a deep breath. “I don’t know what to expect, I don’t want to get attached to you, I hate the idea of having to part, but what if anything happens?” He shivered and continued with a small voice. “I always over think.”

Takano ran his hands through Onoderas hair.

“I’m scared of parting from you…. I know I shouldn’t get attached with you, but I cannot help it…. I love you too much. I don’t want to go into it if your not ready…. That’s like setting up for failure… So ill wait for you.” Takano says

Onodera could feel his heart beating incredibly fast and his fingers trembling, and it’s been a long time since he felt he could properly smile at Takano, but right after the man’s last kiss on the top of his head, Ritsu’s smile showed up naturally, his eyes watered a bit and he didn’t feel like stopping anytime.

Before, he had no idea of what to expect after he confessed, after all, Takano knew that Ritsu loved him already. Maybe he’d laugh at him and say something stupid, but no, instead, he was in front, almost crying.

“I-I’m sorry,” he sniffed. “It took me way too long.”

He couldn’t help the tears falling down, Ritsu had been waiting for this moment for ages and now that it was already here, the only thing he could do was cry on Takano’s shoulder.

Even though he was the only one who, apparently, didn’t want to make a move on their relationship, he still hoped for it to go in that direction. Onodera felt something warm in his chest with the other man’s reaction. It was the first time Masamune had that kind of expression in his face and it was really obvious that he was happy, which made Ritsu really happy as well.

Now that everything happened, he wasn’t sure what followed. He still wondered what they were supposed to be doing after Onodera confessed. He worried. Though Ritsu loved Masamune’s smile, so he would keep it to himself, he guessed.

“How would you feel about moving in with me?…” Masamune asked in between the kiss.

“I… I…” He stuttered and felt his face the reddest it could be. “Isn’t it too fast? I-Is it really okay?”

Of course he would like to, since a while ago he would think about how it could be, and he knew it wasn’t “too fast” after ten years, but just the idea of everyday with Takano got him nervous.

Masamune looks at Ritsu. “Is it too fast for you?”

Masamune was slightly disappointed. He wanted to be sure that he won’t ever leave Ritsus side, and vise versa.

This wasn’t a flat out no though, so that is good.

“Because for me.. I’ve waited long enough. I am willing to wait until your ready though.”

“Oh, n-no,” he averted his gaze. “I didn’t mean t-that… No, I-I would like to…” Onodera felt his head spinning. “I-I’m fine with i-it. I guess.” Ritsu said, finally in a low voice.

Masamune couldn’t help but smile.

Masamune hugs Ritsu tightly.

“I love you… So damn much…” Masamune says, full of emotion.

“Me too,” he whispered and closed his eyes. Ritsu felt tired from the sudden confession , but he felt happy and glad it happened.

“Are you tired?” Masamune asked, seeing Ritsus eyes shut.

Masamune runs his hands through Ritsus hair, looking at Ritsu with love.

“Spend the night.” Takano says, voice full of want, kind of demanding, but gentle.

He would never, no matter how much time goes by, get used to Takano’s voice. He liked way too much the sound of it and it drove him crazy every time.

Takano smiles and slowly stands up reluctantly and offers his hand to Ritsu.

“Shall we go, my love?” Takano asked like he was a prince and Ritsu was the princess.

Takano loved Ritsu too much for words. Takano is extremely happy and relieved for this sequence of events.

Ritsu blushed and rolled his eyes while giving Takano his hand and following him.

He was sure Ritsu knew the man’s apartment by heart, but it sure made his heart skip a beat being led by Masamune.

Masamune Ruffles Ritsus hair affectionately and starts taking off his own clothes

Ritsu’s blush grew redder at the moment he set eyes on Takano.

“Wh- Wait! What’s going on??” He covered his face with both hands so Takano would tease him for blushing.

Takano smiles at Ritsus flusteredness, and Takano could tell he was blushing.

“I’m changing into pajamas. Nothing to get flustered about.” Takano says as he walks over and kisses Ritsus lips

Ritsu’s heart started beating faster and he felt really dumb now, after all this, why did he imagine anything else?

Onodera shyly kissed back and wondered if it was alright for him to sleep in the clothes he was on.

Takano felt the edge of his lips curl up in a small smile when Ritsu kissed back.

Takano gently picked up Ritsu and then carried him to the bed, never breaking the kiss.

Takano snuggles Ritsu once they were on the bed, and embraced his lover tightly

Onodera is laying on his back while Takano is resting on top of him, his head on Ritsu’s chest, while he caresses Masamune’s hair.

He always wanted to do that, now it seems he can and he wouldn’t keep himself from doing so.

Without noticing, Ritsu is smiling.

Takano smiles on Ritsus chest when he feels Ritsu caress his hair.

Masamune always to have that feeling of Ritsus fingers through his hair.

Ritsu notices he is smiling and tries to hide it, but he really feels too happy when Masamune holds him tighter.

Masamune smiles and looks up at Ritsu, greeted by a smiling Ritsu that made his heart beat fast.

“I love when you smile..” Masamune says as he kisses Ritsu.

Masamune was overcome with a overwhelming want and before he can help himself, he said it.

“Oh, no”. Ritsu frowned. “No, no, no. I won’t”

That was too mcuh, he didn’t want to be rude, but if he tried to call him that he would die before even making a sound.

Masamune frowns slightly from dissapointment, but he respected Ritsus wishes.

“Ok, that’s fine…. When you are ready, I’ll be ready.” Masamune says, looking at Ritsu

Ritsu thought he had probably been a little rough with Takano after he saw him kind of pout, but he rather tell him straight away he couldn’t do that just now than anything else.

Onodera kissed Takano’s forehead hesitantly, with his eyes closed.

Takano felt his heart beat fast when he felt Ritsu kiss him.

Takano shut his eyes, and laid down, enjoying the feel of Ritsus fingers in his hair.

Onodera was always the one sleeping first, he wanted to at least let the other one rest first.

“Why do you want me to sleep, RITSU?” Takano couldn’t help but ask, looking up at the one he loves

Onodera’s cheeks burned red and he turned his face so Takano wouldn’t see.

Takano kisses Onodera.

“I- I am not!!” He exclaimed and pushed Takano back as he turned to rest on his side, facing the opposite side from Takano. “N-Now, sleep!” His heartbeat going faster as he felt more nervous.

Takano laughs softly and turns to face Ritsu. Takano brought Ritsu closer and embraced Ritsus back so he is spooning Ritsu.

“Night, my Ritsu.” Takano says as he whispers on Ritsus neck.

Onodera blushes at the feeling of Takano’s body against his and whispers a stuttered ‘good night’ back at him, it takes him a while, but he falls asleep in Takano’s arms.

It’s been a while since the last time it happened just like this. Years.

The next morning, Ritsu woke up before Takano, which was something unusual. Onodera had forgotten that they stayed together for the night so he was pretty shocked when turning around and meeting his face in front.

He though of how rare of an opportunity it was and looked at his face. He was used to not facing his on a daily basis, so he wouldn’t notice little details. Now was the time.

Takano looked peaceful in his sleep,

Takano was having a wonderful, dreamless night, and having one of the best night of sleep in a long time, and that was evident in his features.

Takano usually didn’t look this calm, so Ritsu thought of how nice he looked like this. Deep down he hoped more mornings like this would come their way and he gave a light smile as he imagined.

Good thing they didn’t have work until the next day.

Takano woke up and looks straight into Ritsus eyes.

“Morning, my love.” Takano says with a husky voice since he just woke up.

Ritsu thought it was probably time to get up, even if he didn’t want to, so after Takano released him from their hug, he pulled back and prepared to leave the bed.

A few hours passed by and Ritsu eventually woke up. The first thing he saw was the blue screen on the TV, meaning the movie was already over, then he finally noticed he had fallen asleep, and, at last, he felt Takano was still sleeping by him. Onodera thought on waking him up, but didn’t because he was aware his boss needed to sleep, they just finished hell week and the man sure was tired.

Takano woke up a few minutes later and yawns. He stretched slightly, and realized that Ritsu was right next to him.

“Hey, Ritsu..” He said, still waking up.

Takano saw the movie was over.

“Guess we slept through the movie, huh?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu

Ritsu looked away and blushed, “w-well, we’ve not slept properly for the past week, no wonder did!”

It wasn’t the first time they woke up together, yet it had something different to it.

“True…” Takano said, yawning and getting up.

“What do you want to do now?” Takano asked Ritsu

“N-Nothing specially,” Onodera shrugged.

Ritsu had no idea of what kind of things Takano liked to do. Specially since they stopped doing that sort of stuff together since high school. He would like to do anything if that meant learning about the taller man, but it was somehow hard to put that into words.

Takano looked at Ritsu.

“Hmm…” Takano said as he thinks about what to do.

Takano didn’t know a lot about Ritsu as well. He really wants to know more about his could-be lover.

“How about we play a game?”

“A g-game?” He raised an eyebrow. “We’re adults, Takano-san!”

Incredible. Ritsu was truly worring about what to do while Takano was taking it so lightly? Though he might give it a try.

“What is it about?” Onodera asked in a low voice, looking at the other side.

“I really think one of the main problem between us is that we don’t know each other.” Takano said, looking at Ritsu carefully.

“Have you 20 questions?”

Ritsu turned his gaze back at Takano. He really had never played that game before but it was worth give it a try.

“I guess we could do that.”

Ritsu moved to have a more comfortable posture, (awkwardly) facing Takano, though of course that at the moment the latter looked at him, he averted his gaze to the floor.

“Ok… So basically I ask a question, and then you answer the question, and ask a question back… Ok?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu.

“Ok, so… I guess I’ll start with the basics… What’s your favorite color?”

“Right, um, I’ve never thought about this.” He stayed silent for a second. “I guess I’ll go with green.”

“What’s your favorite… Um, drink?” He couldn’t fight the smile back. He had wanted to do this properly since so much time ago.

Takanos gaze softened when he saw Ritsu smiling.

“My favorite drink is wine.” Takano said, slowly going to sit next to Ritsu.

“What’s your favorite food?”

“I really like dorayaki!” Onodera scratched the back of his head. “Um, what is…” He thought for a second. “Your favorite type of weather?” His eyes sparkled.

Takano found himself in awe of Onoderas sparkle in his eyes.

“I personally like the snow… It reminds me of celebrating my birthday with you.” Takano said, slowly holding Ritsus hand.

“If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?”

Ritsu blushed with Takano’s touch, but he didn’t pull away.

“Read people’s minds… I guess.”

Though that’d seriously drive him crazy.

“Maybe just… Ugh, invisibility?” He quietly chuckled.

That suited him better.

“And you?” He smiled.

“Hmm…” Takano thought of it for a few moments.

“Maybe read minds?” Takano says, shrugging.

“What’s your favorite weather?”

Ritsu frown at the though of Takano willingly invading his thoughts. Though it would have helped them a few years ago, right?

“I think I could particularly like rainy days, but not exactly when I’m outside without an umbrella.” He remembered the time when they met thanks to a similar situation and blushed. “Any non-work related hobbies?” He was specially curious about this one.

Takano thought about it. “Well… I like to read, smoke, … Hang out with you….” Takano said, squeezing Ritsus hand.

“What about you?”

“I-I enjoy reading, and I usually am always working so I s-sort of like that too.”

And of course, spending time with Takano was included in the ‘always working’ part, though he wouldn’t say it.

“A-Ah,” he tried to change the subject. “What would you do if you w-weren’t working on shoujo manga, Takano-san?”

“Like as a job?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu

“Yeah, that…” He shyly looked at him. “That, or anything, really.”

“Hmmm….. If I wasn’t in shojo manga… Well, last time I was in shounen manga.” Takano says.

“… What did you do during our ten years apart?” Takano asked

“Yeah, I thought so,” Ritsu felt down.

To think that Takano could one day go away from him drove him crazy, because Onodera was sure his anxiety wouldn’t let him do a thing if that were to happen.

“I…” He took a breath. “I went to study abroad and came back to work at my family’s company right after graduation.” Ritsu averted his gaze. “What about you?”

Takano saw that Ritsu looks uneasy and he mentally facepalmed himself. *Im an idiot…*

“Well, I moved in with my mom after my parents divorced. Then I went to college with Yokozawa, but I eventually dropped out. Then I worked at Shuudansa as a shounen editor, but quit due to drama. And then Yokozawa helped me get into Marukawa.” Takano said, looking at Ritsu.

“What is your favorite thing about literature?”

“I-I really just like how books can take you to different places with just words.” He smiled shyly. “Besides, when you create a book, it’s not only what’s written on it, but the whole thing.” Ritsu gestured with his hands. “The cover, type of paper, actually every material that builds the book.” He paused so he wouldn’t get too excited. “I think it’s because I’ve always been surrounded by books, it’s become natural for me, I guess?”

“But… Well, my turn.” He looked back at Takano. “H-How do you manage to get everything in order?” Onodera blushed. “It’s not that I don’t understand how it works, alright? It’s just… I-I somehow always mess things up and-” he choked on his words and just kept quiet as he waited for an answer.

“You don’t mess up as often as you might think…” Takano said, running his fingers through Ritsus hair.

“And I don’t really know… I took a guess on how it should run, and I guess I was right.” Takano looked at Ritsu, smiling slightly.

“U-Um…” He slowly pulled his hand from Takano’s.

Ritsu thought of it, but didn’t find anything else; for the past months, the only thing that could happen to cheer him wasn’t a thing but a person. But as ironical as it might seem, Takano himself was the only one who could pull him up and push him down at his will.

“E-Eh,” he flushed deeply. “H-How could I k-know that sort of thing!”

“How do you not know what cheers you up, Ritsu?”

“W-Why should I pay attention to small things like those?!” He lowered his head. “It’s me after all,” Ritsu whispered.

“Ta-Takano-san! Why so sudden?” He asked blushing even deeper and trying to gain balance from his boss’s pulling, but feeling comfortable after the taller man wrapped him. Ritsu looked at him and thought that he really didn’t want to leave Masamune’s side.

Masamune smiles at Ritsu and hugs Ritsu, knowing damn well that he never wanted to leave Ritsus side. “Why? Is it just that you don’t want to tell me what cheers you up?” Masamune teases Ritsu

“Anyways, it’s getting late, don’t you have things to do, Takano-san??” Ritsu was blushing deeply and trying get Takano’s hands off him.

It was like a pattern to follow, pushing him away, not that he wanted to do it (not right now) but Onodera felt as if it was something he had to do.

Ritsu blushed and hid his face in Takano’s chest. For once, it would be nice to be honest with himself and show Masamune his feelings as well. Onodera shyly wrapped his arms around the man in front of him.

Takano was slightly shocked when Onodera hugged back, but none the less, extremely happy. Takano kisses Ritsus head. “So, please… Never leave.”

“I don’t plan to,” he whispered against the other’s chest and squeezed him a little.

His heart was beating like crazy and he felt as if he could die at any moment, but somehow it felt different than before, he was glad they were together.

Ritsu stood there silently, letting the man hug him; though in his mind, he was still fighting with himself whether to confess or stay silent.

His mind was so noisy that anyone could almost hear it when the outside was this silent. He didn’t want to make things awkward again, but Onodera really didn’t know what to do.

Unconsciously, he gave a little squeeze through their hug.

Takano hugs Onodera tighter.

“I will wait how long it takes for you to confess to me. I will wait that that wrong, and stay by your side for the rest of our lives.”

“Takano-san…” He buried his face deeper. “I-I am scared”. Ritsu continued with a small voice.

“Of what?” Takano asked gently

“I-I guess I’m just scared that everything will repeat all over,” Ritsu said still not facing Takano.

“I mean, we are not the best at communication, and even though it’s important, I can’t seem to pull myself together,” he sighed and pulled away to look at him. “I don’t want to mess up everything again.”

“… I’m scared too, Ritsu.” Takano admits.

Takano kisses Ritsus forehead.

“We may not be the best at communication, but we can work on that with time. Ritsu, I’m scared of death of never seeing you again. We both know how much it hurts to be away from each other, and, if you feel the same as me, we both will try our hardest to not be hurt again. I am willing to risk trying again. I love you too much to let you pass by, no matter how much you may have hurt me in the past. Yes, communication is a big reason we broke up, and we must work on that. We should work on communication before going onto the next step… I am willing to wait however long it takes.” Takano says

Onodera looked down and hesitated on keep talking for some time, but at the end he slowly started again.

“Besides,” he took a deep breath. “I don’t know what to expect, I don’t want to get attached to you, I hate the idea of having to part, but what if anything happens?” He shivered and continued with a small voice. “I always over think.”

Takano ran his hands through Onoderas hair.

“I’m scared of parting from you…. I know I shouldn’t get attached with you, but I cannot help it…. I love you too much. I don’t want to go into it if your not ready…. That’s like setting up for failure… So ill wait for you.” Takano says

“Th-Thank you, Takano-san,” he averted his gaze and stood, wondering what should he do next.

Takano softly kisses Onoderas lips as he hugs Onodera close.

Ritsu follows, closing his eyes and hugging him back, still hesitating, but following Takano anyways.

“Thank you for understanding,” he answers short on breath and looking into his eyes.

He blushes at the contact and averts his gaze once again. Onodera could feel his whole face burning hot, he felt embarrassed but it wasn’t like before, somehow.

Takano put his head on Onoferas shoulder, and hugs Onodera tighter.

“A-Alright,” he caressed the man’s hair.

Onodera’s body shivers and he bites his lip. He liked it. He really liked Masamune.

Onodera moans quietly and gasps for air, he can feel his face reddening as the other man looks up at him.

“Wa-Wait, Takano-san!” Ritsu tried to pull away slightly.

“N-Not just me!” He blushed and tried to stop Takano’s hands.

Takano was curious about what Ritsu wanted to do, and let Ritsu do as he wanted.

Ritsu placed his hands on Masamune’s chest and traced the neck of his shirt with a finger.

“I-I…” He blushed again and hid his face in Takano’s shoulder.

He felt very patient since they improved with their communication

Onodera could feel his heart beating incredibly fast and his fingers trembling, and it’s been a long time since he felt he could properly smile at Takano, but right after the man’s last kiss on the top of his head, Ritsu’s smile showed up naturally, his eyes watered a bit and he didn’t feel like stopping anytime.

Takano widens his eyes in shock and looks at Ritsu.

Takano hugs Ritsu close and he felt himself tearing up

Ritsu cupped Takano’s face with his hands and pulled him into a soft kiss, he himself was crying already too.

Before, he had no idea of what to expect after he confessed, after all, Takano knew that Ritsu loved him already. Maybe he’d laugh at him and say something stupid, but no, instead, he was in front, almost crying.

“I-I’m sorry,” he sniffed. “It took me way too long.”

He couldn’t help the tears falling down, Ritsu had been waiting for this moment for ages and now that it was already here, the only thing he could do was cry on Takano’s shoulder.

Even though he was the only one who, apparently, didn’t want to make a move on their relationship, he still hoped for it to go in that direction. Onodera felt something warm in his chest with the other man’s reaction. It was the first time Masamune had that kind of expression in his face and it was really obvious that he was happy, which made Ritsu really happy as well.

Masamune saw Ritsu cry and just embraced him tighter.

He was so happy he couldn’t stand it rn.

Masamune couldn’t help the tears fall down from his own eyes either.

Finally Ritsu confessed, after all this time.

Masamune thought the first thing he would want to do is make love with Ritsu, but all he wanted was to hold Ritsu in his arms at this point.

Now that everything happened, he wasn’t sure what followed. He still wondered what they were supposed to be doing after Onodera confessed. He worried. Though Ritsu loved Masamune’s smile, so he would keep it to himself, he guessed.

Masamune kisses Ritsu deeper than before.

“How would you feel about moving in with me?…” Masamune asked in between the kiss.

Of course he would like to, since a while ago he would think about how it could be, and he knew it wasn’t “too fast” after ten years, but just the idea of everyday with Takano got him nervous.

Masamune looks at Ritsu. “Is it too fast for you?”

Masamune was slightly disappointed. He wanted to be sure that he won’t ever leave Ritsus side, and vise versa.

This wasn’t a flat out no though, so that is good.

“Because for me.. I’ve waited long enough. I am willing to wait until your ready though.”

“Oh, n-no,” he averted his gaze. “I didn’t mean t-that… No, I-I would like to…” Onodera felt his head spinning. “I-I’m fine with i-it. I guess.” Ritsu said, finally in a low voice.

Masamune couldn’t help but smile.

Masamune hugs Ritsu tightly.

“Me too,” he whispered and closed his eyes. Ritsu felt tired from the sudden confession , but he felt happy and glad it happened.

He would never, no matter how much time goes by, get used to Takano’s voice. He liked way too much the sound of it and it drove him crazy every time.

Takano smiles and slowly stands up reluctantly and offers his hand to Ritsu.

“Shall we go, my love?” Takano asked like he was a prince and Ritsu was the princess.

Takano loved Ritsu too much for words. Takano is extremely happy and relieved for this sequence of events.

Ritsu blushed and rolled his eyes while giving Takano his hand and following him.

Ritsu’s blush grew redder at the moment he set eyes on Takano.

“Wh- Wait! What’s going on??” He covered his face with both hands so Takano would tease him for blushing.

“I’m changing into pajamas. Nothing to get flustered about.” Takano says as he walks over and kisses Ritsus lips

Ritsu’s heart started beating faster and he felt really dumb now, after all this, why did he imagine anything else?

Onodera shyly kissed back and wondered if it was alright for him to sleep in the clothes he was on.

Takano felt the edge of his lips curl up in a small smile when Ritsu kissed back.

Takano gently picked up Ritsu and then carried him to the bed, never breaking the kiss.

Takano snuggles Ritsu once they were on the bed, and embraced his lover tightly

Onodera is laying on his back while Takano is resting on top of him, his head on Ritsu’s chest, while he caresses Masamune’s hair.

He always wanted to do that, now it seems he can and he wouldn’t keep himself from doing so.

Onodera was always the one sleeping first, he wanted to at least let the other one rest first.

Onodera’s cheeks burned red and he turned his face so Takano wouldn’t see.

“I- I am not!!” He exclaimed and pushed Takano back as he turned to rest on his side, facing the opposite side from Takano. “N-Now, sleep!” His heartbeat going faster as he felt more nervous.

Takano laughs softly and turns to face Ritsu. Takano brought Ritsu closer and embraced Ritsus back so he is spooning Ritsu.

“Night, my Ritsu.” Takano says as he whispers on Ritsus neck.

Onodera blushes at the feeling of Takano’s body against his and whispers a stuttered ‘good night’ back at him, it takes him a while, but he falls asleep in Takano’s arms.

The next morning, Ritsu woke up before Takano, which was something unusual. Onodera had forgotten that they stayed together for the night so he was pretty shocked when turning around and meeting his face in front.

He though of how rare of an opportunity it was and looked at his face. He was used to not facing his on a daily basis, so he wouldn’t notice little details. Now was the time.

Takano was having a wonderful, dreamless night, and having one of the best night of sleep in a long time, and that was evident in his features.

A few hours passed by and Ritsu eventually woke up. The first thing he saw was the blue screen on the TV, meaning the movie was already over, then he finally noticed he had fallen asleep, and, at last, he felt Takano was still sleeping by him. Onodera thought on waking him up, but didn’t because he was aware his boss needed to sleep, they just finished hell week and the man sure was tired.

Takano woke up a few minutes later and yawns. He stretched slightly, and realized that Ritsu was right next to him.

“Hey, Ritsu..” He said, still waking up.

Takano saw the movie was over.

“Guess we slept through the movie, huh?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu

Ritsu looked away and blushed, “w-well, we’ve not slept properly for the past week, no wonder did!”

It wasn’t the first time they woke up together, yet it had something different to it.

“True…” Takano said, yawning and getting up.

“What do you want to do now?” Takano asked Ritsu

“N-Nothing specially,” Onodera shrugged.

Ritsu had no idea of what kind of things Takano liked to do. Specially since they stopped doing that sort of stuff together since high school. He would like to do anything if that meant learning about the taller man, but it was somehow hard to put that into words.

Takano looked at Ritsu.

“Hmm…” Takano said as he thinks about what to do.

Takano didn’t know a lot about Ritsu as well. He really wants to know more about his could-be lover.

“How about we play a game?”

“A g-game?” He raised an eyebrow. “We’re adults, Takano-san!”

Incredible. Ritsu was truly worring about what to do while Takano was taking it so lightly? Though he might give it a try.

“What is it about?” Onodera asked in a low voice, looking at the other side.

“I really think one of the main problem between us is that we don’t know each other.” Takano said, looking at Ritsu carefully.

“Have you 20 questions?”

Ritsu turned his gaze back at Takano. He really had never played that game before but it was worth give it a try.

Ritsu moved to have a more comfortable posture, (awkwardly) facing Takano, though of course that at the moment the latter looked at him, he averted his gaze to the floor.

“Ok… So basically I ask a question, and then you answer the question, and ask a question back… Ok?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu.

“Ok, so… I guess I’ll start with the basics… What’s your favorite color?”

“Right, um, I’ve never thought about this.” He stayed silent for a second. “I guess I’ll go with green.”

“What’s your favorite… Um, drink?” He couldn’t fight the smile back. He had wanted to do this properly since so much time ago.

Takanos gaze softened when he saw Ritsu smiling.

“My favorite drink is wine.” Takano said, slowly going to sit next to Ritsu.

“What’s your favorite food?”

“I really like dorayaki!” Onodera scratched the back of his head. “Um, what is…” He thought for a second. “Your favorite type of weather?” His eyes sparkled.

Takano found himself in awe of Onoderas sparkle in his eyes.

“I personally like the snow… It reminds me of celebrating my birthday with you.” Takano said, slowly holding Ritsus hand.

“If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?”

Ritsu blushed with Takano’s touch, but he didn’t pull away.

“Read people’s minds… I guess.”

Though that’d seriously drive him crazy.

“Maybe just… Ugh, invisibility?” He quietly chuckled.

That suited him better.

“And you?” He smiled.

“Hmm…” Takano thought of it for a few moments.

“Maybe read minds?” Takano says, shrugging.

“What’s your favorite weather?”

Ritsu frown at the though of Takano willingly invading his thoughts. Though it would have helped them a few years ago, right?

“I think I could particularly like rainy days, but not exactly when I’m outside without an umbrella.” He remembered the time when they met thanks to a similar situation and blushed. “Any non-work related hobbies?” He was specially curious about this one.

Takano thought about it. “Well… I like to read, smoke, … Hang out with you….” Takano said, squeezing Ritsus hand.

“What about you?”

“I-I enjoy reading, and I usually am always working so I s-sort of like that too.”

And of course, spending time with Takano was included in the ‘always working’ part, though he wouldn’t say it.

“A-Ah,” he tried to change the subject. “What would you do if you w-weren’t working on shoujo manga, Takano-san?”

“Like as a job?” Takano asked, looking at Ritsu

“Yeah, that…” He shyly looked at him. “That, or anything, really.”

“Hmmm….. If I wasn’t in shojo manga… Well, last time I was in shounen manga.” Takano says.

“… What did you do during our ten years apart?” Takano asked

“Yeah, I thought so,” Ritsu felt down.

To think that Takano could one day go away from him drove him crazy, because Onodera was sure his anxiety wouldn’t let him do a thing if that were to happen.

“I…” He took a breath. “I went to study abroad and came back to work at my family’s company right after graduation.” Ritsu averted his gaze. “What about you?”

Takano saw that Ritsu looks uneasy and he mentally facepalmed himself. *Im an idiot…*

“Well, I moved in with my mom after my parents divorced. Then I went to college with Yokozawa, but I eventually dropped out. Then I worked at Shuudansa as a shounen editor, but quit due to drama. And then Yokozawa helped me get into Marukawa.” Takano said, looking at Ritsu.

“What is your favorite thing about literature?”

“I-I really just like how books can take you to different places with just words.” He smiled shyly. “Besides, when you create a book, it’s not only what’s written on it, but the whole thing.” Ritsu gestured with his hands. “The cover, type of paper, actually every material that builds the book.” He paused so he wouldn’t get too excited. “I think it’s because I’ve always been surrounded by books, it’s become natural for me, I guess?”

“But… Well, my turn.” He looked back at Takano. “H-How do you manage to get everything in order?” Onodera blushed. “It’s not that I don’t understand how it works, alright? It’s just… I-I somehow always mess things up and-” he choked on his words and just kept quiet as he waited for an answer.

“You don’t mess up as often as you might think…” Takano said, running his fingers through Ritsus hair.

“And I don’t really know… I took a guess on how it should run, and I guess I was right.” Takano looked at Ritsu, smiling slightly.

“U-Um…” He slowly pulled his hand from Takano’s.

Ritsu thought of it, but didn’t find anything else; for the past months, the only thing that could happen to cheer him wasn’t a thing but a person. But as ironical as it might seem, Takano himself was the only one who could pull him up and push him down at his will.

“E-Eh,” he flushed deeply. “H-How could I k-know that sort of thing!”

“How do you not know what cheers you up, Ritsu?”

“W-Why should I pay attention to small things like those?!” He lowered his head. “It’s me after all,” Ritsu whispered.

“Ta-Takano-san! Why so sudden?” He asked blushing even deeper and trying to gain balance from his boss’s pulling, but feeling comfortable after the taller man wrapped him. Ritsu looked at him and thought that he really didn’t want to leave Masamune’s side.

“Anyways, it’s getting late, don’t you have things to do, Takano-san??” Ritsu was blushing deeply and trying get Takano’s hands off him.

It was like a pattern to follow, pushing him away, not that he wanted to do it (not right now) but Onodera felt as if it was something he had to do.

Ritsu blushed and hid his face in Takano’s chest. For once, it would be nice to be honest with himself and show Masamune his feelings as well. Onodera shyly wrapped his arms around the man in front of him.

Takano was slightly shocked when Onodera hugged back, but none the less, extremely happy. Takano kisses Ritsus head. “So, please… Never leave.”

“I don’t plan to,” he whispered against the other’s chest and squeezed him a little.

His heart was beating like crazy and he felt as if he could die at any moment, but somehow it felt different than before, he was glad they were together.

Ritsu stood there silently, letting the man hug him; though in his mind, he was still fighting with himself whether to confess or stay silent.

His mind was so noisy that anyone could almost hear it when the outside was this silent. He didn’t want to make things awkward again, but Onodera really didn’t know what to do.

Unconsciously, he gave a little squeeze through their hug.

“I will wait how long it takes for you to confess to me. I will wait that that wrong, and stay by your side for the rest of our lives.”

“Takano-san…” He buried his face deeper. “I-I am scared”. Ritsu continued with a small voice.

“Of what?” Takano asked gently

“I-I guess I’m just scared that everything will repeat all over,” Ritsu said still not facing Takano.

“I mean, we are not the best at communication, and even though it’s important, I can’t seem to pull myself together,” he sighed and pulled away to look at him. “I don’t want to mess up everything again.”

“… I’m scared too, Ritsu.” Takano admits.

Takano kisses Ritsus forehead.

“We may not be the best at communication, but we can work on that with time. Ritsu, I’m scared of death of never seeing you again. We both know how much it hurts to be away from each other, and, if you feel the same as me, we both will try our hardest to not be hurt again. I am willing to risk trying again. I love you too much to let you pass by, no matter how much you may have hurt me in the past. Yes, communication is a big reason we broke up, and we must work on that. We should work on communication before going onto the next step… I am willing to wait however long it takes.” Takano says

Onodera looked down and hesitated on keep talking for some time, but at the end he slowly started again.

“Besides,” he took a deep breath. “I don’t know what to expect, I don’t want to get attached to you, I hate the idea of having to part, but what if anything happens?” He shivered and continued with a small voice. “I always over think.”

Takano ran his hands through Onoderas hair.

“I’m scared of parting from you…. I know I shouldn’t get attached with you, but I cannot help it…. I love you too much. I don’t want to go into it if your not ready…. That’s like setting up for failure… So ill wait for you.” Takano says

“Th-Thank you, Takano-san,” he averted his gaze and stood, wondering what should he do next.

Takano softly kisses Onoderas lips as he hugs Onodera close.

Ritsu follows, closing his eyes and hugging him back, still hesitating, but following Takano anyways.

He blushes at the contact and averts his gaze once again. Onodera could feel his whole face burning hot, he felt embarrassed but it wasn’t like before, somehow.

Ritsu placed his hands on Masamune’s chest and traced the neck of his shirt with a finger.

“I-I…” He blushed again and hid his face in Takano’s shoulder.

Onodera could feel his heart beating incredibly fast and his fingers trembling, and it’s been a long time since he felt he could properly smile at Takano, but right after the man’s last kiss on the top of his head, Ritsu’s smile showed up naturally, his eyes watered a bit and he didn’t feel like stopping anytime.

Before, he had no idea of what to expect after he confessed, after all, Takano knew that Ritsu loved him already. Maybe he’d laugh at him and say something stupid, but no, instead, he was in front, almost crying.

“I-I’m sorry,” he sniffed. “It took me way too long.”

Takano kisses back deeply.

“It’s ok Ritsu… I’m happy you said it. Like very happy. I love you. I love you so much it hurts. Please be mine.”

He couldn’t help the tears falling down, Ritsu had been waiting for this moment for ages and now that it was already here, the only thing he could do was cry on Takano’s shoulder.

Even though he was the only one who, apparently, didn’t want to make a move on their relationship, he still hoped for it to go in that direction. Onodera felt something warm in his chest with the other man’s reaction. It was the first time Masamune had that kind of expression in his face and it was really obvious that he was happy, which made Ritsu really happy as well.

Masamune saw Ritsu cry and just embraced him tighter.

He was so happy he couldn’t stand it rn.

Masamune couldn’t help the tears fall down from his own eyes either.

Finally.

Finally Ritsu confessed, after all this time.

Finally he can call Ritsu his.

Masamune thought the first thing he would want to do is make love with Ritsu, but all he wanted was to hold Ritsu in his arms at this point.

Masamune held him in a way that it was like the both of them were fragile, and will break in chards any second. Masamune also held him more possessive than ever before.

Now that Ritsu is here- he isn’t gonna leave no matter what.

Ritsu wrapped his arms around Takano’s neck and looked at him.

Now that everything happened, he wasn’t sure what followed. He still wondered what they were supposed to be doing after Onodera confessed. He worried. Though Ritsu loved Masamune’s smile, so he would keep it to himself, he guessed.

Masamune kisses Ritsu deeper than before.

“How would you feel about moving in with me?…” Masamune asked in between the kiss.

Masamune felt he couldn’t get close enough to Ritsu

“I… I…” He stuttered and felt his face the reddest it could be. “Isn’t it too fast? I-Is it really okay?”

Of course he would like to, since a while ago he would think about how it could be, and he knew it wasn’t “too fast” after ten years, but just the idea of everyday with Takano got him nervous.

Masamune looks at Ritsu. “Is it too fast for you?”

Masamune was slightly disappointed. He wanted to be sure that he won’t ever leave Ritsus side, and vise versa.

This wasn’t a flat out no though, so that is good.

“Because for me.. I’ve waited long enough. I am willing to wait until your ready though.”

“Oh, n-no,” he averted his gaze. “I didn’t mean t-that… No, I-I would like to…” Onodera felt his head spinning. “I-I’m fine with i-it. I guess.” Ritsu said, finally in a low voice.

Masamune couldn’t help but smile.

Masamune hugs Ritsu tightly.

“I love you… So damn much…” Masamune says, full of emotion.

“Me too,” he whispered and closed his eyes. Ritsu felt tired from the sudden confession , but he felt happy and glad it happened.

“Are you tired?” Masamune asked, seeing Ritsus eyes shut.

Masamune runs his hands through Ritsus hair, looking at Ritsu with love.

Ritsu snuggles Takano’s hand.

Takano kisses Ritsus lips.

“Spend the night.” Takano says, voice full of want, kind of demanding, but gentle.

He would never, no matter how much time goes by, get used to Takano’s voice. He liked way too much the sound of it and it drove him crazy every time.

Takano smiles and slowly stands up reluctantly and offers his hand to Ritsu.

“Shall we go, my love?” Takano asked like he was a prince and Ritsu was the princess.

Takano loved Ritsu too much for words. Takano is extremely happy and relieved for this sequence of events.

Ritsu blushed and rolled his eyes while giving Takano his hand and following him.

He was sure Ritsu knew the man’s apartment by heart, but it sure made his heart skip a beat being led by Masamune.

Masamune leads Ritsu to the bedroom and closed the door.

Masamune Ruffles Ritsus hair affectionately and starts taking off his own clothes

Ritsu’s blush grew redder at the moment he set eyes on Takano.

“Wh- Wait! What’s going on??” He covered his face with both hands so Takano would tease him for blushing.

Takano smiles at Ritsus flusteredness, and Takano could tell he was blushing.

“I’m changing into pajamas. Nothing to get flustered about.” Takano says as he walks over and kisses Ritsus lips

Ritsu’s heart started beating faster and he felt really dumb now, after all this, why did he imagine anything else?

Onodera shyly kissed back and wondered if it was alright for him to sleep in the clothes he was on.

Takano felt the edge of his lips curl up in a small smile when Ritsu kissed back.

Takano gently picked up Ritsu and then carried him to the bed, never breaking the kiss.

Takano snuggles Ritsu once they were on the bed, and embraced his lover tightly

Onodera is laying on his back while Takano is resting on top of him, his head on Ritsu’s chest, while he caresses Masamune’s hair.

He always wanted to do that, now it seems he can and he wouldn’t keep himself from doing so.

Without noticing, Ritsu is smiling.

Takano smiles on Ritsus chest when he feels Ritsu caress his hair.

Masamune always to have that feeling of Ritsus fingers through his hair.

Masamune tightens his hold on Ritsu.

“Ritsu…” Masamune says, full of love

Ritsu notices he is smiling and tries to hide it, but he really feels too happy when Masamune holds him tighter.

Masamune smiles and looks up at Ritsu, greeted by a smiling Ritsu that made his heart beat fast.

“I love when you smile..” Masamune says as he kisses Ritsu.

Masamune was overcome with a overwhelming want and before he can help himself, he said it.

“Call me Masamune.”

“Oh, no”. Ritsu frowned. “No, no, no. I won’t”

That was too mcuh, he didn’t want to be rude, but if he tried to call him that he would die before even making a sound.

“I’m not ready”.

Masamune frowns slightly from dissapointment, but he respected Ritsus wishes.

“Ok, that’s fine…. When you are ready, I’ll be ready.” Masamune says, looking at Ritsu

Ritsu thought he had probably been a little rough with Takano after he saw him kind of pout, but he rather tell him straight away he couldn’t do that just now than anything else.

Onodera kissed Takano’s forehead hesitantly, with his eyes closed.

Takano felt his heart beat fast when he felt Ritsu kiss him.

Takano kisses Ritsus lips deeply.

“I know, idiot,” he flustered and looked away while still playing with Takano’s hair.

Takano shut his eyes, and laid down, enjoying the feel of Ritsus fingers in his hair.

“MMM…” Takano hums in comfort

“Fa-Fall asleep already, Takano-san!” He whispered in a high-pitched little voice.

Onodera was always the one sleeping first, he wanted to at least let the other one rest first.

“Why do you want me to sleep, RITSU?” Takano couldn’t help but ask, looking up at the one he loves

Onodera’s cheeks burned red and he turned his face so Takano wouldn’t see.

Takano kisses Onodera.

“I- I am not!!” He exclaimed and pushed Takano back as he turned to rest on his side, facing the opposite side from Takano. “N-Now, sleep!” His heartbeat going faster as he felt more nervous.

Takano laughs softly and turns to face Ritsu. Takano brought Ritsu closer and embraced Ritsus back so he is spooning Ritsu.

“Night, my Ritsu.” Takano says as he whispers on Ritsus neck.

Onodera blushes at the feeling of Takano’s body against his and whispers a stuttered ‘good night’ back at him, it takes him a while, but he falls asleep in Takano’s arms.

It’s been a while since the last time it happened just like this. Years.

The next morning, Ritsu woke up before Takano, which was something unusual. Onodera had forgotten that they stayed together for the night so he was pretty shocked when turning around and meeting his face in front.

He though of how rare of an opportunity it was and looked at his face. He was used to not facing his on a daily basis, so he wouldn’t notice little details. Now was the time.

Takano looked peaceful in his sleep,

Takano was having a wonderful, dreamless night, and having one of the best night of sleep in a long time, and that was evident in his features.
