âWould you care to know your future?â
~The Failure Oracle
I finally made that picture look freaking decent.Â
I have officially redesigned Artemis! Now sheâs ten times as cute and still 100% the failure oracle we all know and love! Give her a hug, roleplay with her, and give her a reason to talk to you!
Most notable changes:
More cute
Hair bow now in braid instead of on head
No hair accessoriesÂ
Different outfit
Family scroll and shawl (used for protection against elements) are only used in writing instead of official designs/drawings
Longer eyebrows
Artemisâs VC has such a pretty voice. Why did I give it to this failure?

Artemis ArtemisÂ
I tried so hardemis
But I messed up

Artemissss
âSometimes itâs free! It depends on the sign!â Artemis giggled. âAlso...your name is....Sanders, right?â
Phoenix, what is your favorite animal? Krio what do you like to do in your spare time? Hey Artemis, what do you think of Steven Universe?
Phoenix smiled at this question and shook his head. âI do not have favorite animal! They are all such lovely animals, that choosing one would be so awful! I am very fond of house pet, though, because I can hug them! One day, I am hoping to have one of my own to cherish and love myself!â
Krio scoffed and rolled his eyes. What a strange question to ask someone who rarely had free time for himself. âWell, if you must know, I rarely have free time, but I mostly spend it reading, studying, and finding my next chamber mate; itâs a vicious cycle, but I find the latter of the three more fun.â
ââŠ.Who? OH! I think I know who youâre talking about, but he goes by Bard! Heâs such a sweetie and so pure! Plus, he listened to my warnings and swore to never go into an antique shop again!â Artemis spun around, her braid knocking over a nearby vase. She didnât seem to notice or care when it crashed to the floor and startled everyone around her.Â
What if someone braided this into Artemis's pink locks? I want an OC to braid Artemisâs hair, because that would be too cute. Like, put some little bows, stars, and other objects in there and make it all cute.

Artemis: Mostly likely to win a twerk competition after high school
Artemis paused from her casual stroll down private property and tilted her head. âWhatâs a twerk? Is it the thing you do with your butt?? MmmâŠ.â She brought her hand up to her chin and lightly tapped her dainty finger against it. âIâve never actually attempted a twerk before⊠Is it hard? Well, I suppose if that one girl could do it, then so can I! Hehe! Thank you for having faith in me; Iâll give it a try when I need to use it!â Instead of waiting around, though, she scampered off into the distance, grabbing a piece of meat from a bear trap before it was able to close on her in the process. Â
Such a Lovely Place; Such a Lovely Fac--Wait! ((Open w/ Artemis))
The day was finally starting to come to a close, leaving hues of pinks, oranges, and yellows kissing the earth, grasping for the final breaths of light while the sun drifted behind the horizon. The air was cool from the mid-November climate and most persons were investing themselves in a warm dinner and time spent with their families; however, traveling alone with her pink and black scroll strapped tightly to her back was a short girl with pink locks. Two hours of traveling had left her with only a sliver of daylight left and a whole night to get through.
Artemis descended a steep hill, hands clutching the paper bags sheâd found and taken from inside a womanâs shopping cart while she was loading them into her car. It was the least Artemis could do to take her mind off of loading so much into her car at once. If sheâd left that bag in the cart, sheâd of been a monster to that poor woman laboring away and storing the bags!
As she continued down the hill, feet gracefully avoiding slippery edges, she hummed quietly to herself a victory song. Today had been a great day for her, after all. Sheâd managed to find food, help a woman, and now she was coming to find a hotel nearby where she could take her leave for the night! If she could call her mother right now and tell her of the tales she would, but she doubted her mother was awake at this time, seeing as dinner was done and she had to tend to crops in the morning.
Reaching the bottom of the hill, she noted the sky becoming a darker hue of purple, shrouding the streets in a cloak of inevitable darkness. Artemis predicted the night would set in faster than sheâd thought, making her frown momentarily at her vision being wrong. Shrugging it off, she continued toward her destination, a motel three hours away.
Upon arriving at the distant motel, she quickly glanced around, eyes peeled for any uniformed personnel that may take her and kick her out. Lowering herself slightly, she warily made her way past a row of doors. She knew her only chance was to find the windows and slip through those instead. Ten minutes of searching led her to the first window. Wiggling the bottom of it, she sighed in defeat.
Locked.
Proceeding to the second, she received the same treatment; then the third; then the fourth; and finallyâŠat the fifth, she felt the window give way, granting her access to the rooms inside.
Giggling softly, she removed her scroll from her back, slipping it inside and gently plopping it on the floor below. Lifting her leg up, she gracefully stepped over the windowsill and stepped into the room she presumed empty. She turned around, simply shutting the window and smiling at the welcoming warmth that greeted her freezing face.
She bent down, retrieving her scroll, and propped it and her bag of groceries up against the wall to keep them from being her either death or something she stepped on in the morning. Having done that, she reached up and began the process of removing her ponytails, rubber bands, beaded sticks, and bow from her head, placing them on the nearest nightstand for safekeeping.
Finally, she reached up to her sternum, unbuttoning the cloak she wore over her dress, letting it fall to the floor. She kicked off her shoes next, wiggling her cold and stiff feet in an attempt to return the feeling to them. After that, she removed her dress with practiced ease, then her undergarments, letting each fabric of clothing simply fall to her feet. For some reason, she always preferred to sleep naked. Maybe it was the fabric of the sheets feeling more cozy or perhaps she just enjoyed the truest freedom of the body.
Once more giggling, she moved to the bed of the room, relieved to feel the warmth of blankets sheâd longed to embrace. The linen sheets were lined with a hint of lavender, much to her excitement. She let out one final sigh, snuggling deeper into the sheets, curling herself up into a ball next to the mass she assumed was just more pillows on the bed, not realizing it was another person in the bed with her.
âJohn?â
âNo.â
âDid you hear that?â Art couldâve sworn he heard something outside, and felt a bit uncomfortable laying in a run-down motel. He looked over at his half-brother through blurry vision, who lay on his side facing away from Art.
âNo. Go to sleep,â John responded gruffly, curling up tighter in hopes to avoid further conversation.
âJohn, Iâm serious,â Art continued, rubbing his eyes. âI know I heard something.â John huffed, rolling over onto his back.
âArt, itâs a shit motel. Itâs gonna make noise. Just ignore i-â John began, but he cut himself off when they heard the shifting noise of the window. They both froze, before John whispered, âif we die in fuckinâ Germany, Iâm gonna be bloody pissed.â Silence fell over the boys as they heard a soft giggle, causing them to be a little less fearful and a lot more confused. John, being closer to the window, managed to see as the person stepped through the opened window, that it was a girl. John raised an eyebrow as the girl began pulling off her accessories. When she dropped her dress, John stifled a laugh with a tight smirk, wondering if his father had been stressed enough to order a stripper and had it sent to the wrong room.
When the girl began to take off her undergarments, Johnâs eyes widened a bit and he felt his face flush. He knew it was probably wrong to stare, but she was, as he might describe her, kinda fuckinâ gorgeous. Art, in the meanwhile, continued lay in silence, unsure of the situation.
As the girl got closer, John realized that he recognized her. Shit, what was her name? It started with Art, didnât it? As she laid down, snuggling into the pillows, and then into John, he remembered. He almost didnât want to say anything, finding Artemis against his chest to be pretty nice..
âWell, âatâs a bit forward. Donât think your brother would quite approve of this, Artemis.â John said with an underlying snarky tone. Art sat up at the mention of the girlâs name, squinting into the darkness.
âArtemis..?â
The bed felt extremely warm and cozy to the cold girl as she snuggled up closer into the sheets. The smell of lavender soothed her senses and began to slowly lull her pink-haired head into an almost comatose state of mind. This place must have received more customers as of recent, since theyâd managed to gain a fresher detergent than the last one sheâd sniffed here. Maybe they were using the one with the bear on it?
It wasnât until she felt something hard against her that she glanced up, eyes locking with Johnâs in slight surprise. In her half-awake state, she sat up and began to rub her sleepy eyes, letting the blanket fall off her in the process.
âMm?â She inquired, falling back on to the pillows as if she wasnât bothered by the fact that there were more people in here than sheâd thought or that she was naked in front of others; quite frankly, she didnât care about hiding herself. Letting her hair fan out behind her, and some of it fall off the bed, she turned her head to look back at John.
âMy brother wouldnât approve? What wouldnât he approve of?â She blinked her azure colored irises at John, confusion spreading across her features. âYou know my nameâŠ?â
