It was so cold this morning that it felt like I was sleeping in the Arctic. Even though I took a hot shower, It was still too cold to even be warm with myself. Yesterday, my older sister gave me her smart tv and this morning I took the time to log into all my entertainment viewing apps (Hulu, Netflix, etc.) and I decided to revisit the horror movie “You’re Next”. 

You’re Next sets around The Davisons’, an upper-class family, are extremely wealthy -- but also estranged. In an attempt to mend their broken family ties, Aubrey (Barbara Crampton) and Paul (Rob Moran) Davison decide to celebrate their wedding anniversary by inviting their four children and their children's significant others to their weekend estate. The celebration gets off to a rocky start, but when crossbow-wielding assailants in animal masks suddenly attack, the Davisons must pull together or die.

The film stars Sharni Vinson (Step Up 3), Joe Swanberg (Easy), A.J. Bowen (I Trapped The Devil), Nicholas Tucci (10 Minutes to Midnight), and many more. 

This film was very “Strangers-esque”. Well I can’t really say that since this film falls into the home invasion category of horror films, which are one of my favorite kind of horror films. It really made me wonder what would I have done in that situation.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW FUCKING SMART ERIN IS !!! 

bitch is who I aspire to be. FINAL GIRL REALNESS. From the nails struck into the wood to the blender into the skull, jesus this bitch did not hold back. 

I honestly believe this film doesn’t need a sequel but then again I didn’t think The Strangers need a sequel yet we got one and a good one in my opinion. 

The way the mother died was so sad yet scary like oh my fucking god watching the intruder slide out from under the bed and murder the mother. AND LETS NOT FORGET WHEN THAT ONE FEMALE CHARACTER RAN AND FUCKED UP HER NECK OMG. 

I loved everything, the acting, the plot, the execution was magnificent. maybe I’m giving it too much credit ...

It’s been a good while since I sat down and watched a horror film and was mentally disturbed by it. 

“Megan Is Missing” stars newcomer Rachel Quinn as Megan, Amber Perkins (Sinners) as Amy, and Dean Waite ( Four 1 Liberation Front ) as Josh/Stalker. 

“Megan Is Missing” is a found footage horror/drama about a teenager named Megan (Rachel Quinn) disappears after meeting an online acquaintance (Dean Waite) and was released in May of 2011. 

When I was watching the film I noticed how bad the acting was, it was just meh and almost made me want to click off and go back to my regular binging of Family Guy. Apparently the film all over TikTok right now so I had to check it out and see what the buzz was. I’m not really a huge fan of found footage movies but “Megan Is Missing” is an exception. The film itself wasn’t scary or terrifying since 1. THE ACTING WAS A NO NO and 2. THE FILM WAS POORLY EXECUTED! YOU CAN HEAR THE DIRECTOR SAY ACTION IN ONE SCENE. What was truly scary about this film is that this can really happen to someone. It’s the fact that this is something real and not some haunted presence. It really makes me scared to think about the fact that this could happen to anyone even my younger sisters and toddler niece. The film really opened my eyes about the reality of the world we live in and that there’s sick people that really get off on this type of shit.

CAN WE FUCKING TALK ABOUT THE BARRELL SCENE! MY FUCKING GOD. THE SCARIEST THING WAS AMY HAVING TO BE IN THAT BARRELL WITH MEGAN’S ROTTING CORPSE. JESUS CHRIST MY JAW DROPPED WHEN JOSH OPENED UP THAT THING. 

WE REALLY HAVE TO BE FUCKING CAREFUL WHO WE TALK TO ONLINE !!!

I FUCKING SOBBED AT THE CREDITS SCENE WHERE MEGAN AND AMY ARE TALKING ABOUT THEIR FUTURE AND HOPES AND DREAMS AND US THE AUDIENCE KNOWING THEY’RE NEVER GOING TO SEE THOSE DAYS COME!! LIKE FUCK I CRIED A RIVER!. 

For poor execution and not having that professionalism type of feel, I give the movie a 4/10 , FOR MAKING ME HAVE AN ANXIETY ATTACK AND WORRY FOR MY SIBLINGS LIVES, A 100/10.

I couldn’t sleep this morning but around 3 a.m. , I found out the sequel to ‘The Craft” was newly released. Being a fan of the original film, I decided I just had to check out this film. The Craft : Legacy stars Cailee Spaeny (Bad Times at the El Royale), Lovie Simone (Greenleaf), Gideon Adlon (The Society), and newcomer Zoey Luna. The Craft : Legacy is about an eclectic foursome of aspiring teenage witches get more than they bargained for as they lean into their newfound powers.

Being a huge fan of the original film, it was a little weird to get hooked on and comfortable with this next “generation” since this version is set years after the original. I AM GLAD TO SEE THE LGBT REPRESENTATION !!! The scene where Nicholas Galitzine (Handsome Devil) character Timmy comes out of the closet and reveals he’s secretly Bisexual. Another prime example IS THE CONTRIBUTION OF A TRANS ACTRESS ZOEY LUNA!!!! WE STAN A TRANS ICON!! 

Now, there’s a part in the trailer where a polaroid of Nancy Downs is shown, but I seemed to missed it in the film. Either it ended up being a cut/deleted scene or I quickly missed it while glancing at my phone. I knew we couldn’t trust the mother’s boyfriend and I didn’t expect him to have been a warlock, I really thought he was like a leader of a witch hunter cult or something similar. I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE NANCY DOWNS AT THE VERY END EVEN FOR A SPLIT SECOND!! When we found out that our main character Lily was adopted I instantly knew she was Nancy’s child. This just opens up the possibility of upcoming sequels if Blumhouse decides to go down that route. It was overall a good film and would recommend other to watch especially if your a fan of witch films and the original Craft movie.

IT’S OCTOBER 25TH AND I LITERALLY HAVE BEEN BUSY ALL MONTH, I WAS SUPPOSED TO POST ABOUT ONE HORROR MOVIE EACH DAY BUT SCHOOL HAS KEPT ME BUSY PLUS I FORGOT MY PASSWORD. 

ANYWAY, the movie I’ve decided to watch tonight was Hush, which stars Kate Siegel (The Haunting of Hill House), and John Gallagher Jr. (10 Cloverfield Lane). Hush is about a deaf and mute writer who retreated into the woods to live a solitary life must fight for her life in silence when a masked killer appears at her window.

Now, you don’t see many movies where the main character has some sort of disability. The only movies I can think of out of my knowledge is See No Evil, Silver Bullet, and Don’t Breathe, so I’m glad there’s some representation being shown. After our final girl Maddie kills the stalker man, I REALLY BELIEVED SOMEHOW SHE WAS GONNA GET HER VOICE BACK AND START TO SPEAK ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE DIALED 911. 

I would give this movie a 7 out of 10 because although it wasn’t extremely gory like how I love my horror movies, I will say it’s quiet good and definitely terrifying since this is something that can really happen. Definitely worth the watch !!!

October 1st just finished as it is now midnight that this is posted, and I had to start the month of October with one of my favorite Halloween cult classic movies, Hocus Pocus. After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal. Perfect movie that doesn’t need a sequel !

I just finished watching “The Farm”, starring Nora Yessayan (The Last Sohour), Alec Gaylord (I’ve Been Thinking), and Ken Volok (Locals Only) and I feel like “The Farm” is one of those films that rely on the music score and soundtrack to interact with the audience. So far the only scene that me squirm was the baby scene. I do wish there was some character development for the character of Andrew but then again, the things he did wouldn’t be excused. I appreciate that the all the mask wearing men don’t speak since it adds to the suspense of what going to happen. I just wish Nora and Ashley had a much happier ending but it is what it is. I give it a 6 out of 10 ranking.

I just finished watching “Most Likely To Die” , starring Heather Morris (Glee) and Ryan Doom (The Roommate). It wasn’t the scariest movie in my honest opinion, but it did have a few scenes that made me go “oh fuck”. Definitely wouldn’t watch a second time. I give the movie a 5/10.
