Positions that still need to be filled

Artists:

someone to color character portraits

someone to make tilesets

someone to make backgrounds

Those who want to color shall receive one example portrait outline to color as a way to assess your skill. Those who want to do backgrounds, submit a drawing of a garden. Those who want to make the tilesets, please, just submit a tileset of a bathroom you've made.

Technical:

someone to design the maps of the game

someone who can make animations for RPG Maker VX Ace

someone who with experience in game programming

As the game is being remade from scratch, finding the first one would be really helpful.

Optional:

a writer to help with dialogue

an editor

The only additional requirement really is that you're preferably 17 and up. We would really appreciate the help.

Progression status update: The beta is halfway done. May require double-checking on descriptions and such at a later time. The only thing currently an issue is consistent sprites for said beta. Unsure whether said sprites will be colored by myself or we'll find a volunteer to help color. That is all for this progression status update.

Searching for Volunteers to Help Make a Game

Hello! I’m working on an RPG Maker horror game and I need help.

The premise is essentially that the player is a teenage girl who has been dared to stay the night in an abandoned mansion that’s rumored to be haunted. At the beginning of the game, the player would have to choose whether to go left or right, and the direction they choose determines who the player has as a companion throughout the game. The twist: both of these companion characters are hiding a secret and one of them is the antagonist of the game. The game will have multiple endings when it is finished.

I began working on this project back in January and unfortunately, I have to begin over again because I made the mistake of trying to do this alone with no prior experience on how to animate, make character portraits, program events, make tilesets, lay out maps, etc.

This is why I’m asking for help.

I need at least one person to assist in creating character portraits/sprites. Character design is not necessary as all of the characters have been designed. However, I was hoping for them to be similar to how Corpse Party and Dangan Ronpa have their character portraits but in a different art style.

I also need someone who knows how tilesets works and perhaps how to create tilesets because that would be really really helpful. Someone to help with the maps in general.

Now, this is a horror game, so I might need a few people who know how to program and animate scares. With my lack of experience with RPG Maker VX Ace and sprite animation in general, I was unable to make any.

Now, unfortunately, I’m unable to pay anyone. This will take a bit of time. It will be a most likely be a freeware game once it is done. If you can’t or don’t want to help, I would appreciate it if you could reblog this to spread the word around. Thank you for your time if you read this to the end.
