The Animal Trapped || Elsa & Merida
"Well, then," Merida said simply, a smile pulling at her lips despite everything that had happened since she had stepped foot in the room. "You c’n keep me company — we c’n keep eachother company. We girls ‘ave gotta stick together." She made a face. "Well, those of us who actually like one another."
Fully dressed now, her hair pulled back into a rubber band, she turned to face Elsa and reached up, brushing her thumb under the other woman’s eyes to rid her of the tears. “Hey, don’t worry… yer gonnae be fine.” Merida softly set her hand on her cheek. “I’ll make sure of it.”
"Am I?" she asked, shaking her head. "I'm twenty one years old...when I get out of here, I'll be thirty. That's a whole decade of my life I won't be living. I was going to college, I was...I was going to be an artist," she gulped and shook her head, her spine straightening as she told herself to buck up. Her jaw set, determinedly.
"Anyway," she said, looking in the mirror. "I should go. It was nice meeting you, with your great timing."
