Ghost.. plus Narrator.. equals Garrator. So about those two doors?
“Ah- yes! The doors! I must’ve completely forgotten in my stupor!”
[Stanley and the Narrator make their way to the two doors.]
“Alright then- here we are, Stanley. You lead the way. Though, in my opinion, I think it’d be best to start with the door on your left.
Howdy! It’s me! The mod! I’m interrupting this post to tell you that you, yes, YOU! the readers have a choice here!
y’see, I think it would’ve been boring for Stanley to choose. So, I want you all to choose!
I have linked a strawpoll here! vote on which door you think Stanley should walk through. voting ends in an hour! (around 6:50-7:00pm EST)
i'm not gonna lie, flustered/blushy narrator is really adorable
“Call me what you want, but I am NOT adorable!”
Well I should hope so!! Maybe ask Stanley first, before you get all excited over the possibility of a movie hahaha
[to my knowledge- no I don’t think they’ve made a movie yet.]
“Oh… Thats dissapointing.”
[Well, if it makes you feel better, the books are always going to be better than the movies anyways.]
I wonder if they ever made a movie or movies based on your work? A lot of classics end up being made into films, though some don't translate well on screen.
“Do you think people liked my books that much?”
(first ask here and it’s to console a ghost! Woo! Sorry, I got excited and wrote a lot)
Ok, so I see a couple options here! Number one! Narrator, why don’t you go and ask Stanley more about what people thought of your books! And, -side note here- if some people didn’t like reading your books in school, that’s ok! I know a bunch of people who don’t like certain books SOLELY because they were forced to read them in school, so it’s definitely not a pointed attack towards your well-being.
Two! Maybe look up some essays about your book series? It’s always fun to see how different people interpret the same things! (At least I think so) Maybe there are a few ‘the curtains are just blue’ moments, or some Chekhov’s Guns that you never got to fire!
and hey? If you aren’t ready for a whole bunch of feedback from everywhere from “best book in existence” to “literal garbage do not read”, maybe taking it slow is the best option. Maybe make a digital (or traditional) survey!
Also! Stanley! Favorite dessert, go!
[yeah!! What they said!!]
[also my favorite desert is black forest cake with coconut… or, would that be german chocolate with cherries?]
Did you hear that Narry!!!!! He doesn’t just like the book: he loves it !!!!!
“Wait, Stanley! Are you saying that you… like my books?”
[guess I am]
Well? Did ya like it Stanley? Don’t leave the man hanging here!
[I mean- i did enjoy it!]
[it's one of my all-time favorite books, actually...]
[but, Narry. if we're going to be living together, you've got to talk to me about these things!]
[I don't like being left out of things.]
Why don’t you ask what Stanley thought of it? He’s probably worried about why you ran off like that
“…”
[…]
“Did you enjoy the book, at the very least…??”
Hey Stanley? You might want to check up on your friendly house ghost. I think the Narrator needs someone to tell him that he’s fine, that there’s no pressure and that he could have done nothing better. Don’t ask why, just do it. Trust me
[I have many questions, yet I expect none of them to be answered.]
Is there anything we can do to calm you down? You don’t even know what Stanley thought of it yet. He might love it!!
“Ah- I didn’t mean to concern you all so much!”
“However…”
“Getting to talk about it, even if briefly, has made me feel a bit better. It’ll probably take a while to get used to all of… this.”
"also, thank you for the silly cat pictures"
Howdy tumblr!! I have a few announcements to make... (yes I know I spelt it wrong in the doodle)
1!
Most of y'all most likely have already noticed, but I've been focusing more on my two ask blogs. I'll be continuing to focus on them whenever possible.
so, naturally, posts on this account won't be as common as usual.
2!
I wanted to provide y'all with my schedule!
y'see, for the last two weeks i've been going to art school, and that will stay true throughout the next two weeks (up until auguest 8th)
I get back home from school around 4-5pm EST/EDT on weekdays, so, anytime before that is a great time to send asks to my ask blogs! as for weekends? tbh I just do whatever.
3!
Thank you all SO SO SO SO MUCH for the support! seriously, it means a lot. we're almost up to 150 followers. I have something planned for when I meet that milestone, and i'm really excited to show y'all!
Hey where is Stanley? He's not exploring the house with you Narrator... Is he?
why are you so shaken up by the news? not asking in a mocking manner, i am genuinely puzzled here. your works got the attention they deserved (even if it is after death), so why are you so upset about it?
“Thats the thing! I’m not upset about the stories themselves being loved! It’s just…”
“Usually when something gets popular or recognized, its a slow incline that you get to watch.”
“I didn’t get to watch that incline. I died before it even started. instead of the weight being gradually put on me, and letting me have time to adjust, it all just… it just got dropped onto me at once without any warning or buildup. I didn't get time to prepare for it. I don’t know.”
“Knowing I now have a legacy, even in death, it feels like there are eyes on me still. It feels like I should’ve done more. Like I now have expectations to meet. It’s… overwhelming”
“I don’t know anymore… Maybe I’m just letting my irrational fears get to me again.”
Man. Your books are famous and you didn't even get any money off of it... Well. Narry, do you have any relatives?
”MONEY IS NOT MY MAIN CONCERN RIGHT NOW.”
Narry, it’s alright to be a bit shocked by this. Clearly you missed quite a lot!!
"maybe you're right- I should just... take a breather... and just... stop thinking about it."
"..."
“OH GOD BUT WHAT IF—“
Stanley? The Narrator has been gone for a while, do you think he’s okay?
[now that you bring it up- yeah it is kinda weird that he just phased through the wall and screamed.]
