Drew nodded, “That’s true. Do you have your phone?”
She pulled it out of her pocket. "It died," she said softly, leaning her head back against the cold wall.

Drew nodded, “That’s true. Do you have your phone?”
She pulled it out of her pocket. "It died," she said softly, leaning her head back against the cold wall.
Drew smiled, “What should we do now?” He asked, pulling away from the kiss.
Becky took a deep breath. "Try to get out of here?" she suggested. "Our feelings won't mean anything if we die of starvation."
Drew smiled, “Of course I could, you’re gorgeous, Becky.”
The girl smiled again. She cupped the back of Drew's neck in her hand and kissed him softly.
Drew nodded, “Really.” He smiled, rubbing her back softly. “Of course. I wasn’t going to like, fuck you right now.” He laughed. “I just wanted to kiss you… I dunno.”
Becky smiled at him. "I really like you. I just didn't think you could or would like me as more than just a friend." She was still trying to process their kiss.
"It wouldn’t ruin things, Becky. We’re mature." Drew promised. "I like you and that’s not going to go away, even if we’re just friends. I’ll wanna kiss you."
Becky smiled a little bit. "Really?" she asked softly, running her hand through his hair. She leaned in and kissed his cheek. She was unsure if this was his way of asking her to be more than friends, or if he just wanted to hook up, the latter being something she wasn't into. "Can we just...take things slow?"
Drew let out a breath, nodding softly. “Yeah, Adam. I know. But Becky.. it’s.. been months. And he would want you to be happy, to move on, you know? I’m sorry if it wasn’t the right call to kiss you, I guess I just thought you were into me? I dunno.”
"I don't want it to ruin things between us. Because you've been there for me so much throughout this trial. Not even my family has been here for me. I do like you, but I'm scared of losing the only guy I have left. I've only ever had one boyfriend and it didn't end well." She looked up at him sadly.
Drew groaned out of desire as she pulled away, opening his eyes slowly. “So? We’re locked in here, it’s not like anyone’s going to find us. And why can’t we?” He asked.
"Someone could find us. You don't know that. I just... Drew, I've lost the two boys that were closest to me." She was scared to bring up the giant elephant in the room-Adam. And she was worried Drew was trying to push her farther than she wanted to go.
Drew traced a lazy circle along the small of her back as he pulled her into his lap, guiding her legs around his waist. Daringly, he ran his tongue along her bottom lip, wordlessly asking for entrance into her mouth.
Becky kissed him until she felt his tongue along her lip. "Drew," she said softly, pulling back a little. "Drew, we're at school. Plus...we can't," the girl mumbled, resting her forehead on his.
Drew wasn’t sure what came over him, but he didn’t want it to stop. Snaking his arm around Becky’s waist, he deepened their kiss.
Becky cupped the side of his face and held onto him. It had been so long since she had kissed anyone, and all of her pent up emotions went into the kiss.
I’m here for you, you won’t lose me. I promise.
I know how you feel. Even after Adam’s death.. you really helped me. You’re a really great girl, Becky. I can see why my brother liked you.
Thanks, Drew. It means a lot to hear that from you. I feel like I keep losing people that are close to me. First him, now Luke and even my parents. They're mad for not lying on the stand. After the trial, I told my mom we could get through this if we stuck together and she said she didn't think we could.
I know that, but I.. I still care for you. I needed to make sure you were alright. Of course. But there’s no need to be scared now that I’m here.
I care about you too. You've been a huge help in getting through all of this. I don't know how I would have made it through the past couple weeks without your friendship.
You worry too much, Becky. I’m just glad I found you, I was worried something happened.
No, I'm fine. We have storms like this all the time in Florida. The basement is much safer than the gym. Too many windows. Thanks for finding me though. I was getting a little scared.
