She pulled it out of her pocket. âIt died,â she said softly, leaning her head back against the cold wall.
Drew let out a sigh, "Shit. I left mine back with my jacket, didn't think I'd need it. The one time I don't have it, heh."

She pulled it out of her pocket. âIt died,â she said softly, leaning her head back against the cold wall.
Drew let out a sigh, "Shit. I left mine back with my jacket, didn't think I'd need it. The one time I don't have it, heh."
Becky took a deep breath. âTry to get out of here?â she suggested. âOur feelings wonât mean anything if we die of starvation.â
Drew nodded, "That's true. Do you have your phone?"
The girl smiled again. She cupped the back of Drewâs neck in her hand and kissed him softly.Â
Drew smiled, "What should we do now?" He asked, pulling away from the kiss.
Becky smiled at him. âI really like you. I just didnât think you could or would like me as more than just a friend.â She was still trying to process their kiss.
Drew smiled, "Of course I could, you're gorgeous, Becky."
Becky smiled a little bit. âReally?â she asked softly, running her hand through his hair. She leaned in and kissed his cheek. She was unsure if this was his way of asking her to be more than friends, or if he just wanted to hook up, the latter being something she wasnât into. âCan we justâŚtake things slow?â
Drew nodded, "Really." He smiled, rubbing her back softly. "Of course. I wasn't going to like, fuck you right now." He laughed. "I just wanted to kiss you... I dunno."
"I donât want it to ruin things between us. Because youâve been there for me so much throughout this trial. Not even my family has been here for me. I do like you, but Iâm scared of losing the only guy I have left. Iâve only ever had one boyfriend and it didnât end well." She looked up at him sadly.
"It wouldn't ruin things, Becky. We're mature." Drew promised. "I like you and that's not going to go away, even if we're just friends. I'll wanna kiss you."
"Someone could find us. You donât know that. I just⌠Drew, Iâve lost the two boys that were closest to me." She was scared to bring up the giant elephant in the room-Adam. And she was worried Drew was trying to push her farther than she wanted to go.
Drew let out a breath, nodding softly. "Yeah, Adam. I know. But Becky.. it's.. been months. And he would want you to be happy, to move on, you know? I'm sorry if it wasn't the right call to kiss you, I guess I just thought you were into me? I dunno."
Becky kissed him until she felt his tongue along her lip. âDrew,â she said softly, pulling back a little. âDrew, weâre at school. PlusâŚwe canât,â the girl mumbled, resting her forehead on his.
Drew groaned out of desire as she pulled away, opening his eyes slowly. "So? We're locked in here, it's not like anyone's going to find us. And why can't we?" He asked.
Becky cupped the side of his face and held onto him. It had been so long since she had kissed anyone, and all of her pent up emotions went into the kiss.
Drew traced a lazy circle along the small of her back as he pulled her into his lap, guiding her legs around his waist. Daringly, he ran his tongue along her bottom lip, wordlessly asking for entrance into her mouth.
Drew wasn't sure what came over him, but he didn't want it to stop. Snaking his arm around Becky's waist, he deepened their kiss.
Thanks, Drew. It means a lot to hear that from you. I feel like I keep losing people that are close to me. First him, now Luke and even my parents. Theyâre mad for not lying on the stand. After the trial, I told my mom we could get through this if we stuck together and she said she didnât think we could.Â
I'm here for you, you won't lose me. I promise.
I care about you too. Youâve been a huge help in getting through all of this. I donât know how I would have made it through the past couple weeks without your friendship.
I know how you feel. Even after Adam's death.. you really helped me. You're a really great girl, Becky. I can see why my brother liked you.
No, Iâm fine. We have storms like this all the time in Florida. The basement is much safer than the gym. Too many windows. Thanks for finding me though. I was getting a little scared.
I know that, but I.. I still care for you. I needed to make sure you were alright. Of course. But there's no need to be scared now that I'm here.
Drew, what if we never get out of here?Â
You worry too much, Becky. I'm just glad I found you, I was worried something happened.
