Lucian was a bit amused by the way the man averted his eyes. Â Usually clients just stared and got themselves a good eyeful of any and all naked staff members. Â âWeâll give it a shot then. Â I can always run down to the desk if that isnât the right room.â Â He offered the man his arm. Â âShall we?â
Unlike most clients, Hunter was facing a lot of inner-conflict that only seemed to flare up with his sonâs arrival at the hotel. He hadnât even partaken in any of the sexual activities with any staff members since he arrived, and he knew that that was probably out of the norm for any client. âYeah, letâs go,â Hunter stated, but he didnât take the otherâs arm. It wouldnât have looked right for the large, six-foot-seven giant to be led by someone much smaller than him. âSo uh... whatâs your name? Because Iâm sorry for disturbing your sleep.â
âDonât be so shocked, Iâve known I was a Dom for a long time, and my interests are very far reaching. A few things Iâve just recently crossed off my list though, like fucking in front of other people, which I did in the lobby a few days ago.â
He almost choked on his beverage when Dillinger admitted to fucking someone in the lobby, but managed to reign that in as he looked over at him. âWell, I guess at least that means you know what you like, huh?â he asked before he set his Martini down. He wasnât sure what else to ask the other male, so he figured that maybe it was best to leave before the conversation took a sour turn. âI guess I should leave you to your movie.â
âIâve done almost everything legal and not grossly disgusting at least once,â he said. âWell, almost everything, threesomes, straight up orgy, and fisting havenât tried, but not sure i even want to try all those.Â
Wow. That was definitely something Hunter wasnât expecting to hear coming from the other male. Sure, he knew that Dillinger was gay, but he didnât expect him to be that experienced. âWow...â Hunter said, turning to look at the television as he sipped at his beverage.
âDaddy kink? Yeah, I enjoy it when it comes up. Although some guys want to take it too far and it starts feeling like some incest shit and then Iâm out. I just like the older younger dynamic, and being called Daddy isnât bad, as long as I just call them boy and not son.â
The older male nodded at the otherâs words, listening to him carefully before he looked over at him. âSo Iâm guessing youâve done it before, then?â Truthfully, he never thought heâd have a problem with a Daddy kink. Heâd have a problem with it if it involved diapers or the person acting as if they were underage, but he didnât think that just being called Daddy was something heâd hate.
Lucian half yawned, half sighed and dragged himself out of bed again. Â âOkay, Sir. Â Just let me get dressed. Â Do you know what room they assigned you?â Â He bent over and grabbed the boxers and lounge pants heâd discarded. Â Yanking them on, he turned to the man. Â âOr I can ask the front desk if you give me your name.â
Averting his gaze when the staff member moved to get dressed, Hunter looked at the door before he cleared his throat. âI think itâs the one right above this one,â Hunter stated. That wouldâve explained why he had walked into the guyâs room, at least - he thought he was on a different floor, but the placement of the room and the door and the last two numbers were the same. âItâs Hunter, though.â
David idolized his father ever since he was old enough to be able to say the word âdadaâ. Hunter was a great role model, a fantastic athlete, and was possibly the reason why David kept pushing himself further and further and the reason why he kept achieving results. Even that, however, wasnât enough to make David feel like his father wouldnât react like anybody else out there, because it also gave him so much to lose, if Davidâs fears did, in fact, come true. So seeing him being so supportive, feeling his embrace and support, it immediately made David feel like a giant weight had been pushed away from his body.Â
âYeah, youâre here,â the boy repeated quietly, as he took a step away to wipe away the remaining tears at the corners of his eyes and to take a better look at his father, now that he was able to look him in the eyes. âWaitâŠâ The moment he finally met Hunterâs eyes, a completely novel thought crossed Davidâs mind and it made his eyes grow twice the size.
Yes, his father was here; here, to a ridiculously well-guarded exclusive club, which was as luxurious, as it was impossibly difficult to enter without a specific invitation and a vetting process.
âDad⊠Why are you here?â Dave started, somehow knowing exactly what his old man was about to say, but still wanting to hear it from him.
As soon as David craned his neck to stare up at him, Hunter knew that this was the moment he had been fighting for. The moment he had been dreading and the moment that he honestly didnât want to have happen in a million years. Arms falling down to its sides, Hunter took a step back and glanced down to the ground, unable to keep eye contact with his son. âI-â the older male wasnât sure what he could say. How could he tell his son he came here to cheat on his mother? It was almost too much for him, and the older male just tried to keep himself from running away from this conversation altogether.
After a few minutes, though they felt like they stretched into eternity, Hunterâs gaze flickered up towards his son with a solemn expression written on the rest of his face. âIâm sorry,â was all he said, his Adamâs apple bobbing as he swallowed the thick lump in his throat. Where his son was able to admit that he was gay, out loud, to his father at his age was something that Hunter could only wish for himself, but he couldnât. All he could think about was the pain and hurt this would cause for his family if it were to get out. Heâd lose his girls, his wife, his everything.
âI... have no excuse...â He wanted to tell him, so badly, that he hadnât spent any time with anyone since he had been here, but he wasnât sure if his son wouldâve believed him. The intent of coming to this place was bad enough as it was, and he knew that he had been caught. Red-handed. âIâm sorry,â he repeated, dropping his gaze once more.
âBig dogs are the best.â River agreed. He would get one regardless of his allergies if he was able, but it had never been a possibility in the past. Smiling softly, he nodded âMaybe I just age gracefully.â He suggested, knowing it was a wonder he didnât look much older than he was. But heâd always made an effort to take care of himself. âDoes my age bother you at all?â It was an innocent enough question. It was possible Hunter was into younger men, which he wouldnât judge him for, of course. âHmm.â River thought about it as he ate. What did he want to ask about? âHow about what you do for a living?â That seemed a good enough starting place. And if it took the conversation off of him, he would be grateful.
âWell, if you get out of here, Iâm sure you can get one. Youâll just have to make sure you take an allergy pill every morning or something,â Hunter stated. Truthfully, he thought that no one should go without the feeling of having a large dog impatiently waiting for them to come home, regardless of allergies, so he hoped that River would be able to get one one day. âNo, your age doesnât bother me in the slightest... You just made me think you were much younger than I originally realized.â The older male knew that some guys liked younger ones, especially when considering the Daddy kink, but Hunter, though he had kept his attraction to himself, knew he liked all kinds of men. âIâm an MMA fighter. Iâm the title Heavyweight Champion for the UFC,â he admitted, grabbing a forkful of asparagus and taking a bite.
âThatâs too bad,â he teased thinking of a few stories that flashed in his mind about what had happened in the Haus since he had been coming, âI have so many good ones I could share.â Â He beamed from ear to ear, though never was much of a person who liked to talk about his sexual escapades. Â "Itâs probably for the best,â he laughed, of course continuing along with the joke. Â To him, for the most part, that was all that life was - one huge joke from start to finish usually. Â
He stopped joking when he heard Hunter talk about the length of time since he had gotten his invitation to when he had actually decided to give it a shot. Â "Better late than never I guess, but years, damn-â he couldnât have imagined what it would feel like to sit on a ticket into this world for so long. Â He knew the other had a family, hell he hadnât even thought he was gay, so maybe it had taken the fighter all that time to even just realize that his attraction to men was more than just a silly phase that people went through.
Darius heard that last part and he couldnât help but smile, âitâs a secret oasis around here, a judgement free zone, your secret is safe here.â Â He himself could never tell the others family, granted the idea of now having this huge piece of information hanging over his head had actually excited Darius. Â He wasnât sure how he could use it towards his advantage though. Â âIâm glad you decided to give this place a shot, itâs worth it, I can tell you that much.â
If there was one thing that Hunter had learned about Darius over the last few times that they had hung out together - even if it was mostly for promotional aspects - it was that Darius was a laidback guy who didnât take life too seriously. Maybe that was what had Hunter so nervous being in front of this guy, because he didnât take things seriously and he couldnât understand the severity of his problems? Thankfully, though, it seemed that somehow, Darius knew that whatever was going on with him was a heavy subject and he watched as the grin that was on his lips dissipated. âYeah...â was all Hunter could say, his eyes glancing down to his feet.
Ever since he knew he was gay, Hunter had tried what he could to shut it down, to try and keep anyone from knowing, especially those closest to him. The last thing he wanted was for anyone to find out he had been hiding this secret, for fear of what would happen. It wasnât even the shame of it all that he was most worried about getting out. It was about hurting the people closest to him. And after all this time, he knew that they were going to get hurt, so he just wanted to keep his secret locked up shut and take it to his grave.
But now Darius knew. Darius knew and even if his secret was safe here, he knew that the other was going to plot ways to try and use it against him. It may have not been now, or even when they both head home, but he knew it would be used. If anything, it would be used to try and force him into retirement so that Darius, when he finally packed on enough weight, could climb the ranks of the Heavyweight Division. âSo how long have you been coming here?â
âI wasââ Jericho began to defend himself only to give in with a heavy sigh, ââno, youâre right, I wasnât listening to a word you said. I know thatâs not the best thing to admit, but it was the safer bet soâ youâve got my attention now though. What was it you needed me for?â
The sounds of the heavy machinery working and metal clanging against one another punctuated the room as other Haus-goers took advantage of the high-end gym and Hunter was no exception. Sweat poured off of his body, his bare torso glistening as he dropped from the bar he had been hoisting himself on and he pointed at the maleâs feet. âI asked if you wouldnât mind handing me that water bottle.â
âI guess you could say that,â he opined. Dillinger took another sip of his drink, it was good, as most were from the bar here. âI never really felt I fit any of those labels, I just say Iâm a Dom. Although I guess in a few years Iâll be a daddy as well because of my position and age.â
Listening to the other male when he explained that he didnât fit any of those labels except for Dom, Hunter just took another sip of his drink. He was half-tempted to tell the other that he himself could be considered a Dominant in the bedroom, given that he was more of the aggressor, but he didnât want to tell him that. After all, Dillinger thought he was still a virgin when it came to men and the truth was, he wasnât. âIs that a kink you think youâd enjoy?â Hunter asked, looking over at the other male.
Lucian stated at the man. Â It was the second time that night heâd been woken by a tipsy man in his door. Â Come to think of it, the man looked a bit like David, the man whoâd interrupted his sleep before. Â He yawned and sleepily replied. Â âMy room. Â In the staff quarters. Â You lost, Sir?â
When the staff member spoke, Hunter noticed that he wasnât wearing that much clothing and he averted his gaze - at least, the best he could. âYeah... sorry...â the fighter stated before he looked away. âIâll just leave you be.â Turning around, Hunter was about to head out when he stopped, only to turn back around again. âSorry but... would you mind helping me to my room? Iâm still new here and I keep getting turned around.â
âWhaa? SleepingâŠ.â
Taken aback by seeing his son at the Haus, Hunter had headed for the lounge and tried to drown his sorrows, but because of his large build, he was only able to drink enough to get himself tipsy before the bartender cut him off. Heading up the stairs, instead of opting for the elevator, he headed into a hallway and opened a door, only to realize that there was someone sleeping in the bed. âShit...â Hunter paused, turning to look at the door he just walked through. âThis... isnât my room.â
Everything looked delicious, but it tasted even more so. How such a large man could put something together with such finesse was beyond him. He could barely keep his room clean, let along do anything so nice. âYou win everything.â River said, very nearly setting his elbow on the table before thinking better of the lazy posture and sitting up a bit straighter. After another bite, he considered the question, wondering how much he should actually reveal about himself. âWell, Iâm 26, very nearly 27. I am the only boy in a set of four children. I really love dogs, even though Iâm allergic to them.â He took a bite of his potatoes as he mulled it over in his head. âAnd I have always loved photography, even though Iâve rarely had the chance to get into it at all.â Picking up his glass, he took a drink of wine, looking over it at Hunter. âPretty boring information, I suppose.â
Chewing his meal slowly, the older male listened to River as he began to prattle off different facts about himself. âMm, Iâm a big dog person myself. Iâm not allergic, though, so I donât mind getting them,â he joked lightly before he grabbed his wine glass and took a sip. When the other male finished, Hunter nodded before he ran a hand through his hair. âWell, Iâve got to be honest - I didnât think you were twenty-six. I kind of thought you were younger than that.â Then again, Hunter had always been a bad judge of ages. âI donât think thatâs boring information, but if you think it is, I wonât argue with you and instead Iâll ask if thereâs anything in particular you want to know about me.â
There was no way to properly describe what exactly went through Davidâs head, because he himself was not sure. All he heart was a loud shrieking sound in both his ears as blood kept rushing in his head. Despite his every effort to keep his composure, his eyes watered down and he felt even further embarrassed for letting layer upon layer of weaknesses materialize this quickly. He regretted saying what he did almost immediately, even if he knew it would be a clear lie to say anything else, but at the same time, he didnât want to hurt his father even further so. As if not following in his footsteps wasnât bad enough, but now this⊠And nobody knew. Absolutely nobody knew and he couldâve kept it a secret, if he hadnâtâŠ
David was so wrapped up in his inner demons that he didnât realize when his father had closed the distance between the two and only a heartbeat later, he felt the strong hands envelop him in a tight hug. Davidâs entire body stiffened immediately, afraid to even move, unable to come up with even a basic reaction and still dangerously close to choking on his own tears. But then, slowly at first, the silence between the two started to feel soothing and his fatherâs embrace made him feel safe and protected, like always. He finally moved a bit between the larger manâs arms and then allowed himself to lean in.
âI should have told you⊠You didnât have to learn like this⊠To come all the way here just to⊠just toâŠâ He was not a whiner, he never was, so the whole emotional rush was both exhausting and annoying at the same time. âThank youâŠâ he said in a low voice after what felt like another hundred years of silence. âThank you, Dad,â he repeated and this time he meant it.
âI hope you donât think less of me for being⊠erm, not being gay or whatever, but coming to a place like thisâŠâ The sudden rush of bravery burst through the dimness of his mixed emotions at the moment and it happened so quickly, David heard himself saying the words before realizing what they meant.
If there was one thing that Hunter had tried to be over the course of his time as a father, it was to be the opposite of his father. While his father had had good intentions, his father was also a stern old man that was set in his ways and all about protecting the sanctity of their family name and he didnât give his son any reason to think that, no matter what, heâd stand behind him. If anything, he had told him that if he had done anything to shame him or the family name, heâd be stripped of the title of his son and be sent away. He didnât want to be that kind of father for his children, he didnât want to be that kind of father for his son, and he tried his hardest to show his son that he didnât care who he was just as long as he was being honest with himself.
Maybe that was why this was hitting the older male so hard. Because his son couldnât come up to him and express this to him. Did he think heâd react negatively? And if so, what did he do to make his son think that? It made him think back to how he had been when he was young - so closed and afraid - and he wondered if his son regarded him as he regarded his own father. The thought alone was enough to hurt him.
After what seemed like hours, though really it was more like a couple of minutes, Davidâs hushed voice could be heard and Hunter just continued to hush his son. It was much like the times when he had to soothe his boy back to sleep after a nightmare. And he could see how this could be a nightmare for his son. And as David continued speaking, Hunter realized that this could be considered his own nightmare too.
â...I donât think any less of you being here...â Hunter stated, pausing because he knew that this moment had to come. He knew that the two of them were bound to have this conversation and that everything would fall apart. âAfter all... Iâm here...â Gritting his teeth together, Hunter steadied himself, waiting for his sonâs reaction.
