i cannot stress enough how important it is to listen to yourself. pay attention to what your heart is telling you. deep down you always know what you need, but sometimes things can become clouded because of intense emotions or external forces, which is why it's important to look inside yourself and discover how you actually feel about things and why. we too often go directly against our internal wishes and it always leads us to the wrong places.

they had every reason to not divulge their relationship until now but I'm so glad they did because there's genuinely no greater knowledge than the fact that two queer kids could become a safe place for each other and weather every storm for 16 years and only come out happier and stronger in the face of it. every single story like theirs is a blessing just to know it exists

something so beautiful about the increase of healthy vulnerability and healthy boundaries at the same time.

for them to share with us what they have, not just the fact they are together, but how it affected them in every aspect of their lives. giving a deserved reality check to those who have ignored their boundaries while also forgiving those who have grown and changed just like they have.

they had every right to just tap out of all this, what they went through is heartbreaking and hearing them talk about it so directly is healing all round. they are reclaiming their journey and talking about it on their own terms and i couldn’t be more proud.

in the best way the world feels a little different, a little dramatic sounding i know but anyone on here for dnp probably understands what i mean. yes the 15 year old version of me is freaking out about phan being real but the 25 year old version of me is just so proud and happy for them and the journey they’ve been on. and i am proud of the community as well, i truly believe this wouldn’t have happened the same way if it weren’t for the fact that so many of you have grown into kind, accepting, generous and talented people.
