Quick question: When it says combat strengths and survival strengths does that mean something like how Katniss had the bow and arrow and could hide in trees? That sorta thing?

District:: Capitol, Game Maker

When the Dark Days began, Wade was just a young boy. He had his entire furute ahead of him, and then the uprising began in the Districts. Wade did what any Young Adult Capitolite would do; join the war. Although fighting on the front lines was out of the question, he found his place as a member of the Airforce. Howe flew medical hovercrafts, transporting the injured Capitol soldiers to safety.

When the Capitol finally subdued the Districts, Howe was among the pilots honored for their valiant efforts. He was offered a job working on a special project, The Hunger Games. His job was simple, monitor the health of the children (or should we say Tributes) in the Games. It was rather simple work; trackers were installed in every Tribute's arm. The tracker not only located each Tribute in the arena, it gave the Game Makers an inside look on their bodily functions.

At first Wade enjoyed his job, it was simple. But year after year it was the same thing. He decided his aspirations to be remembered could come to fruition if he became a Game Maker.

Howe worked and worked, doing everything he could to climb the ladder. Finally in the 22nd year of the Games, he got his wish; Wade Howe was promoted to Head Game Maker. His first Games at the helm were some of the bloodiest Panem had seen. President Faughn was more than pleased with his abilities.

In this, the 25th Anniversary of the Hunger Games, Game Maker Howe is proud to be planning the first Quarter Quell. This year he promises the arena will be a surprise like none have ever seen before.

Is it okay if the writing sample isn't Hunger Games related? If not, I'll try to write up another one.

That is completely fine. Although we would prefer the writing sample be HG oriented, we just need to get a feel for your writing style.

I'm not sure whether to apply for District 1, 2, or 3! Aaagh!

A difficult decision, just remember that those Districts usually have vastly different characteristics.

The best way to insure you get the face claim (or FC) you want is to send a reservation with the District you want to apply for and the FC you would like to use.

Reservations will be held for 48 hours.

Could you explain a little bit about the RP process? Like how you're going to choose which tributes die in the bloodbath, who wins in a battle, and such? Thanks.

Excellent question! This has two answers in a way.

Unless something magical happens and we are able to fill every single Tribute position, the deaths at the Bloodbath will be NPCs. In the event that we do fill every (or all but 5) Tribute Positions, Bloodbath deaths will be determined in a similar way to a regular kill.

Which leads me to…

Kills and battle winners will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, Sponsor Points, Training Score, Activity Level, and general writing ability (someone who only replies to a para once very four days would not be considered to have a high activity level and would be up for elimination). Basically it is a little math and a lot of proving yourself.

25 years ago, our country’s leaders took steps to forever protect our nation from falling into the grips of war; The Hunger Games. We now honor the courage of all who have entered into the arena. This year each District will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Hunger Games by hand picking their Tributes!

Voting will be held on Reaping Day. All citizens, age 12 and higher, are required to cast their vote for one female and one male. Votes will be tallied and winners will be announced at sundown.

The 25th Annual Hunger Games will truly be a year to remember! Festivals, feasts, parades, and more are being extended and expanded for this celebration! In fact, we have so much planned, we will be adding an extra week to the festivities preceding the Games.

Reaping Day is drawing closer every day. Who will you be voting for?
