i see a “different types of shading” chart pop up on my dash every now and then and while it can be helpful some of the examples don’t really showcase the shading type so well so i wanted to make my own. i mostly stick to cel or painted shading for my art!

i also included the layer effects i used to get the final product to look how it does. also forgot to mention i used the textured brush from the bottom right to blend a little bit of the painted shading!!

“Julian?” You say, closing the door behind you. No one replies. But the door at the end of the room is closed, and you know you’re not alone here because you can feel it. Your hand stops inches from the doorknob when a low groan gets swallowed up in the wood of the door separating you, but it’s still loud enough for you to hear.

Could he be hurt?

You test the knob to find it’s not even locked. Lingering for a moment before going inside, another, clearer “ungh!” reaches your ears. He’s not hurt at all. You blush as you consider getting out of there as quietly as you possibly can. “A-Ah!”

You hear your name, loud and clear, before you can find the resolve to turn around.

Well, if Julian taught you anything is that if the door’s unlocked you got yourself an invitation. You swallow hard as the door creaks open under your fingertips.

The sight before you is spectacular to say the least. He holds his leg up with one arm, allowing anyone who entered full view of two of his fingers buried up to the second knuckle in his ass. He chokes on the moan he was about to let out when he sees you standing there, mesmerized and, probably, about as red as you can get.

Though he’s not much better himself. He shies away at your interest, looking anywhere but your eyes, half-formed words already stumbling out of his mouth before you can get one in. He tries a few times but settles on “what are you doing here?”

Huh, well, not one of his best. And quite honestly you’ve forgotten what kind of task the benevolent god of fate had you around him at this moment and not someone else. So you ignore his question in favor of asking another.

“Need a hand?”

He tries to mask his excitement, but you didn’t miss him perking up and the slight blush that creeped up his cheeks. He’s so cute you almost don’t want to wait for an answer and just surge forward and find his lips. “Y-you want to..? Um—”

You nod. Shy fingers retreat from his ass, his gaze not meeting yours.

“You can. If you want to.”

A few of you, not a lot like

Have asked if I would make more tutorials and my answer is

Yes.

So today I wanted this to be something that everybody could do no matter their skill level or what blog of mine they fallow so I went with a element that I thought would be easy and useful.

🔥F I R E🔥

So first, take your brightest orange…and scribble a giant blob.

It dose not matter if your blob isn’t supper round or supper zigzagged.

It is a blob rn.

As long as there are no gaps, we’re good.

Next. Take your eraser and start taking chunks off until you get the shape you want.

Do not do it in any sort of order, I found it looks best the more random you go with it.

Video for example

Next. Take a mix between orange and yellow, take your airbrush, lock your layer and center your coloring towards the middle. Once you do that repeat with a light and very bright yellow.

Next repeat first two steps on a layer above and do it in a almost white yellow inside of your current flame.

(Optional) You may add little white specks around it like hot embers. Remember that heat rises so make them more going up into the air.

Now for the last step

Pick back up that snazzy airbrush again

And in a orange and yellowy color use it stronger towards the fire on your background layer.

And there you have it!

Hey guys if you haven’t this movie its called The Breadwinner and last I checked it could be streamed off of Netflix. It’s an amazing film about a girl who disguises herself as a boy in order to provide for her family, who is living in Afghanistan during a dangerous political climate. It’s beautifully animated and incredibly well-written. Me and my younger sister (she is ten years old) thoroughly enjoyed it. So did my mom and dad when we watched it with them later.

It is based on a book of the same name. I read the book when I was in Elementary school. It is great. I also encourage you ne read it.

It’s also made by the studio responsible for Song of the Sea and Secret of Kells, both of which are phenomenal. Unfortunately they also weren’t very profitable.
