Hello everyone. Yes, Rachel Berry has finally decided to join you all here. It seems to be the place to be after all. Who knows who I could meet here, a talent agent for example could be lurking in the background searching for aspiring starts just to stumble upon me! Now that would be worth signing up here. 

However, it is a good way to catch up with you all and find out if I’ve missed anything big whilst I’ve been busy with my extracurricular activities.

The place to be is an exaggeration due to the amount of greasers with their bad attitudes and crude customs, but far be it from me to not welcome a fellow social. I also wouldn’t say this is the site you’d want to be discovered on at least not by the talent agent you may be looking for. I wish you luck all the same.

The bake sale we had a few days ago was such a mess I couldn’t say whether you were there or not but if not, you missed out.

Well society is dumb. I understand that social standings are around and have always been, just like the class system. But I wish people would learn that being ‘on top’ does not instantly give you the right to treat everyone else like garbage because they think they are so great. Being ‘high class’ shouldn’t instantly make you a terrible person. I don’t know this whole rivalry is still just…stupid. I’m over it. How are you though Jane? What else is new in your world?

You’re right. But the same goes for those at the bottom. Just because you’re not high class doesn’t mean you’re the leading example of kindness. In fact, you’d be surprised with how many of us in the North don’t have much of a problem with those in the South until we’re hit with a bit of hostility first. I don’t think it’s entirely stupid on its own; only those that take things to the point of violence make it stupid. And other than the bake sale and going shoe shopping with my mother of course, I haven’t had much excitement in my world. How about you? I imagine the life of a greaser is filled to the brim with...things to do.

Haywards never disappoint. While I admit going after greaser Sarah Puckerman wasn’t my original plan, the fact that she was a Puckerman was good enough for me. I didn’t get away as clean as I walked in but it was still fun. It’s understandable that even you had trouble keeping track in all the madness. I trust you lead by example against the luckiest Southsider in town.

Either way, the sentiment is there, and that’s probably why she’s doing it. I will take that, however. I don’t believe there should be a hierarchy; in town or in school. No one is better than anyone else, and the fact that the bake sale is going to what already has such financial support that it doesn’t need it. To put it in simple terms; things need to change. It’s that simple. I don’t agree with that, but I won’t fight you on it. Everyone is the same, and mixing doesn’t mean that suddenly those people are awful. Thank you.

She’s doing it because she’s in charge and she can. Anyone else in her position wouldn’t turn away the opportunity either I’m sure. Here’s where we start disagreeing. I understand the ideal life of everyone respecting each other and labels being a thing of the past, but a hierarchy is necessary. It’s a way of knowing where people stand with each other in or out of society. We need it to function as human beings and a community however divided we are. Anyone can be better than anyone else. Not only as a matter of opinion, but fact, too. Whether you’re a greaser believing you’re better than a social or vice versa, it’s simply a matter of opinion. However, it’s a fact that I run faster than you which makes me a better runner. See? Things certainly do need to change but changing...human nature is impossible. I don’t want to argue either I actually prefer not to but Kurt, you can’t be so naive to think that it wouldn’t cause some kind of drama if the two sides mixed even a little. You saw what happened on New Years. You’re very welcome.

Yeah it’s…I don’t know. And obviously I don’t want to pull the woe is me act because I know that not all Greasers are perfect but sometimes it’s just so…frustrating. Like why do we literally always get the short end of the stick, it’s just stupid. Don’t worry, I didn’t either. Except for the having to clean obviously since that was mandatory.

It’s how society works. People at the bottom get treated like they are and people at the top don’t. Some people are just luckier than others. I personally don’t see anything wrong with the way things are. Maybe you might chalk it up to never having to deal with the short stick but if you think about it, do longer sticks even exist in the first place? That must’ve been fun. I guess the school finally learned that putting us in the same place even for something as simple as cleaning was a big mistake.

Well good on you for bonding with your dad even if some of that time is spent physically fighting each other. Ironically, it seems like it’s good for the both of you since you’re actually spending time with each other. Breaking your heart? Didn’t know I was that important to you, Mason. My mistake. I wasn’t aware that someone who’s trying and failing to bring back oversized camouflage jackets and finger-less gloves had any room to know anything about true fashion. Turtlenecks are timeless and never go out of style; meanwhile your look was never in. Maybe in a nightmare but even then, that’s giving you too much credit. I’ll let you burn my clothes when you can afford to look at them, you walking fleabag. Make no mistake, greaser, we both may have blood running through our veins but the difference between you and me is that it matters when mine hits the ground. I might not be as loose as you and the rest of your pack, but rest assured I don’t need to get laid to keep good company. Like Hunter Clarington, for example. You remember him right? Or was that night a blur like this morning when you attempted to dress yourself?

I wouldn’t think otherwise. I don’t usually point it out, but someone would have to be blind not to see the injustice greasers deal with on a daily basis. Not all of you deserve that treatment. I… feel like a lot of Socials miss the point of being human beings. We may not have as much money but we do have showers and restrooms.

Ah, okay that makes sense. I mean, I try. That… doesn’t sound fun at all though. Like, that would probably be the worst part, not having my friends. So, you can see just how awful being a Greaser would be. I’d never choose to do that, ever in my entire life. It makes me feel gross just thinking about it!

I might not generally hold cheerleaders or gymnasts in high regard but any person brave enough to trust someone to catch them after being thrown in the air can do anything in my eyes. No, it doesn’t. Which is why I cut our old friends some slack when it comes to their new status. I hate sounding selfish but I’m glad you don’t plan on being the next to jump ship.

Because although both of those groups do have people from both sides, they are predominately Social filled groups. Just saying. And I agree with that; we shouldn’t be afterthoughts. I’m not saying I’m sure we’d be allowed, but the attempt should be made at least. That, or finding a roundabout way to raise money and use it as a donation towards that group in particular to then make it work. There are people that care; those people just need to speak up and do something, which is what I’m trying to help do. I do think people will enjoy some variety though; especially with pies that are not as often brought into play. I’m sure that you’ll manage, and whatever help you get will make it amazing. I’d offer, but I’m sure you wouldn’t want me anywhere near. As for that; no. I like baking, and I like helping out. This has nothing to do with my campaign, or my father’s. I genuinely like to bake, and would like to see what others are making as well.

Cheerios, maybe, but from my current knowledge of the lacrosse team, they seem to be split evenly down the middle for the moment. It doesn’t really matter though since i’m agreeing with you. The way things work in this school are the same way things work in town. There’s a hierarchy that no one can really do anything about but so many people want to. To put it in simpler terms, Cheerios and the other jocks of popular sports are in and we’re not which makes it difficult to get support financially or otherwise. Thank you for the offer, Kurt, really, but even if we weren’t seen together, you helping me would be weird. Socials and greasers aren’t meant mix. It’s nothing truly personal. In that case, I wish you luck. With your baking and your campaign.
