canonically in GW2 a full 7 years have passed since the main story and Living World Season 4, and due to their experiences over and over with fighting Elder Dragons and other sorts of horrors, your Pact Commander is canonically by this point a traumatized, snappy, bitter, broken shell of the person they once were, plagued with the death of multiple friends and the crushing realization that no matter how hard they try and no matter how many enemies are defeated the world just always seems to get worse and worse ლ ( ◕  ᗜ  ◕ ) ლ   !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
