Personal

On January 19, 2020, my father passed away. It has been more difficult than I thought it would be. Our relationship was complicated but he was my dad and I loved him. Thankfully, we were on good terms at his passing. I will be forever grateful for that.

Today, 46 days since his passing, I was food shopping. I saw something he would have enjoyed and went to pick it up and it hit me all over again. He is gone.

I am wretchedly sad. But tomorrow is a new day and His mercies are new every morning.
